Same, that and Majin Vegeta's awakening and the final Spirit Bomb were my top 3 easily. Gokorot and the spirit bomb because it was funny, and Majin Vegeta genuinely gave me chills and even left me emotional that I had to pause the video the first time I saw it.

I consider the “Vegeta, yes” bit as a masterpiece. That phrase managed to encapsulate Vegeta's pride, arrogance, and character development throughout the original series, yet including the originality and touch of DBZA. It's truly a script writing tribute fulfilled through a more than dignifying voice acting performance.
"masterpiece" lmfao. Dragoon ballsack is masterpiece? this is stuff for children who fantasize about destroying everything and argue whose dad and who favourite character is more stronger. There is no complexity, intricacy or even any good messages in it's stories. It basically borrows concepts from spirituality and science fiction to hype up the strength of it's characters. That's it.
This made me appreciate again how awesome Krillin is. He's a great husband and father, he's always happy to see his friends, and he keeps the team together by hosting barbeque parties and movie nights. We all need friends like Krillin.
it was but for some reason i felt no emotion in that moment. its def an iconic moment in dbz but i think because this was only done in segments thats why it didnt hit that hard for me. and dbza vegeta was my favorite version of him. im glad they didnt go with the "nope still hate it" take cause that def wouldve taken away from how impactful and serious that moment was.

The "No, I am an adult" was the best callback in animation history. Plus the scene where Mr. Popo just raises one hand and the spirit bomb just exponentially gets bigger. And dende's hate of Videl was something we saw so long ago. God I missed DBZA. I still wish full versions of Buu Saga comes out. I'll just have my fingers crossed.
Watched TFS since I was 13 I’m 24 now and hearing Gohan say “no, I am an adult” made me tear up we’ve all come a long way since the end of the cell saga and I’m thankful to TFS for doing what said could never be done I’m sure I say this on behalf of everyone thank you Team Four Star we love you all!
Props to Masako for his scream and delivery of "EVEN FURTHER BEYOND". He freaking nails it, and I'm so glad they let that one stand so he could have an epic line to deliver.
That's one of the things I love about TFS. They have a lot of respect for the original show so they never ruin a classic scene for the sake of comedy and they keep a perfect balance of funny and emotional
Yeah super impressive. They make it possible by setting the average of the entire thing to be pretty funny, which is SO impressive. Like, a good portion of the jokes were dirty jokes which I normally don't like at all, but they still made it really funny. Especially Cell. He was a walking talking pervert joke and it was hilarious. All the innuendos and double meanings with everything he said were both clever and funny. He, nor anyone else, went too far with the crude remarks, which kept it nice. Anyways, yeah the average level of humor allowed for them to make the serious moments still emotional. You're still right, they could have still overdone it and lost the serious tone. But they didn't and kept the plot and kept emotions rollercoastering all throughout. Just so much great work all around!

Even without a proper season 4, this really does do well enough to be one. It's JUST coherent enough to be followed and it hits all the right highlights

tbh I think they're extremely aware of it. When they posted the video for Vegeta's sacrifice, Kaiser left a comment on it basically saying how much they appreciated the amazing reception the fans gave it, because he knew that Lani gave it his all for the voice lines in that clip. That's what I love about this team - they really give each other credit where it's due and work together so well to create top quality stuff.

I unsubbed and didn't comment to make a stance back when they announced they wouldn't be continuing DBZA for very understandable reasons but it's my opinion that's the only reason I watched anything on their channel. I've tried their other content and it's not for me but that doesn't stop me from checking on the channel every once in awhile to see if they've come to their senses.
Imagine if they actually did that during the real dub. It would actually make Gohan's struggle against Buu due to hearing the voices and become absolutely livid by them suffering.

In DBZA you can feel sad in some scenes despite the comedy, the same was in the original series you can feel sad in some scenes despite the characters reviving later 😅

I consider the “Vegeta, yes” bit as a masterpiece. That phrase managed to encapsulate Vegeta's pride, arrogance, and character development throughout the original series, yet including the originality and touch of DBZA. It's truly a script writing tribute fulfilled through a more than dignifying voice acting performance.
Even you ... best buddy and "I'm gonna hit you REALLY HARD" are also GENIUS dialogue choices from TFS on the level of 16s backstory

There is no complexity, intricacy or even any good messages in it's stories. It basically borrows concepts from spirituality and science fiction to hype up the strength of it's characters. That's it.
This made me appreciate again how awesome Krillin is. He's a great husband and father, he's always happy to see his friends, and he keeps the team together by hosting barbeque parties and movie nights. We all need friends like Krillin.

it was but for some reason i felt no emotion in that moment. its def an iconic moment in dbz but i think because this was only done in segments thats why it didnt hit that hard for me. and dbza vegeta was my favorite version of him. im glad they didnt go with the "nope still hate it" take cause that def wouldve taken away from how impactful and serious that moment was.

They made Vegeta’s sacrifice hilarious without butchering the overall tone of the scene. That’s raw talent and hard work paying off, right there.
That's one of the things I love about TFS. They have a lot of respect for the original show so they never ruin a classic scene for the sake of comedy and they keep a perfect balance of funny and emotional
Yeah super impressive. They make it possible by setting the average of the entire thing to be pretty funny, which is SO impressive. Like, a good portion of the jokes were dirty jokes which I normally don't like at all, but they still made it really funny. Especially Cell. He was a walking talking pervert joke and it was hilarious. All the innuendos and double meanings with everything he said were both clever and funny. He, nor anyone else, went too far with the crude remarks, which kept it nice.
Anyways, yeah the average level of humor allowed for them to make the serious moments still emotional. You're still right, they could have still overdone it and lost the serious tone. But they didn't and kept the plot and kept emotions rollercoastering all throughout. Just so much great work all around!

The entire cast is on fire. Not only do we get the thrill of hearing the older members of TFS, the new VAs are just fantastic.

tbh I think they're extremely aware of it. When they posted the video for Vegeta's sacrifice, Kaiser left a comment on it basically saying how much they appreciated the amazing reception the fans gave it, because he knew that Lani gave it his all for the voice lines in that clip.
That's what I love about this team - they really give each other credit where it's due and work together so well to create top quality stuff.
