I really dont like pulling for these 5* limited dps characters early on. We dont have idea how the power crip levels in this game are going to be handled, which tends to affect more the dps characters. Yinlin is such a safe choice to future proof your account and save for future, probably better, dps characters.

Been wanting Jiyan since before launch and got incredibly lucky to get him with the two 10-pulls we got in the mail yesterday. His character is awesome and his playstyle is fun as heck. I don't give a flip about meta, I'm just so happy I got him.

He can be strong now cause the game just came out lol. give it a few months and he may still be or not but they may still like him. Also take in account how many people are saying to skip this banner for Yinlin...the meta will most likely be her.
Similar, spent the first 10 and got Calcharo at 31, spent the rest + some Astrite and got Jiyan at 13. The luck is crazy.

Yeah after that when you get the weapon waste rest of your pulls on the standard weapon banner.Tbh I dont know why but it seems in gacha games the first 5* come really early I dont know if they on purpose have lower pity or something for new players so they get trapped into thinking their chances are way higher so they keep pulling.

I’m skipping jiyan for much the same reasons I plan on going the calcharo route so yinlin will be very helpful
But you still need 3 teams, so there's no X character route.

So, I knew of the other five star characters coming but Jiyan’s story was good to me. So, I pulled and got him. I had a few of the other five stars. I.E Lingyang, Encore, and Verina.
I have to say, he is one of the few characters I’ve played within a gacha game..that I actually enjoyed both the character and the gameplay!
I relatively pull for characters that have stories I enjoyed, when he came slightly early in my pulls I was extremely happy. Just from the character alone I was happy playing with him. (He is currently my strongest because I’m actually focusing on his skills).
As for the other five stars I got, Lingyang is my other favorite from this game. He is so fun to play with, not to mention I loved his story and how he practically bounces all over my screen while using his attacks. (I’m a phone player).
Encore is a complete cutie pie, I love her in the story so far and her cute little face reminded me of some other small characters from other gacha games. (Klee). I don’t use her much since I have Jiyan but her attacks are not bad, she can be a great character to play with if you put effort into building her skills.
Verina was the first five star I got, I knew others wanted her and I’m here to say..she can be worth it but if going off just a healing factor I prefer using Baizhi over her. Bazhi’s healing factor was easier to use with my teams since my “play-style” is usually just charge into things without thinking. I do like using her to roam the world though! Verina’s hold attack is so much fun though! When my friend gets to co-op I’m going to have us do a race without telling her about Verina’s hold attack. (Verina’s also a sweetheart in the story so far, so I’m glad I got her anyway.)
The point I’m trying to make is play with characters that will make you happy, whatever is fun can work. I have some of the most unconventional teams you can make in most gacha games but I scrape by mostly fine. (I had a whole team of healers in one game and was chipping at this bosses health, it was painful but hilarious).

My additional thoughts on this:
1. On Jiyan banner, the 4* is arguably far better than Yinlin's. Chixia is meh but Mortefi + Danjin are so good.
2. WuWa endgame need 3 teams. If u plan to put Yinlin + Calcharo on a team you're probably on shortage in the other teams.
3. Referring to endgame again, we actually kinda desperate of another sustain so skipping one of Jiyan/Yinlin can be a wise choice.
But all in all, these consideration just for meta oriented people. I mean, for anyone you pull you still need to git gud 😂
So far I'm aiming to have my 3rd sustain being Spectro Rover since they seem to have a party heal at R4 on their ult, but unsure what main DPS to use on the 3rd team yet since Spectro is severely lacking a DPS 😅

we dont need 3 teams for like 2 months so and we already have danjin right now and then calcharo + yinlin next banner so all we need is a new dps within the next 2 months that wont get powercrept as fast as jiyan
The thing is i can't really make much use out of Yinlin since i play the Spectro MC (and also Jianxin) as DPS. So i probably will wait and see what the 1.1 characters can provide and decide on who i'm going to pull then.
there is a 5 star selector tomorrow in case you don't know so you might use another 5 star :)

@@AhmadKhan-jd9bx It's a selector item given as an apology for issues at launch, with assurances from the devs that they actively listening to feedback and making fixes.
That means we'll easily have 3 of the 5 Standard Characters, we can easily turn this into having all of them if we pull on the beginner banner then save the two selectors till after we've gotten two from losing 50/50s, then we'll have all 5 Standard Characters.
The left tower in hazard mode buffs Aero and right tower buffs Lightning, so if you want to make any progress in that for the next 2 weeks you probably need both him and Calcharo/Yinlin anyways. He is so far ahead in damage at the moment that if you say he will be power crept then I don't see the logic in using all the resources in the other DPS options since they are just worse on paper.
You will enjoy the game 100% more at this stage in the game if you just get him for 1 of the 3 teams you eventually need. So if you can afford it just get him. 3 teams means even if he is power crept, he will need to drop like 3 spots before you drop him completely, that might be 3-4 patches away.
3 days into the game i already have 5 5 star character. That’s how much wuthering wave gave away the wishes. Lost jiyan at first to tiger guy but got him after that in just 2 pull . Didn’t spend a single penny but already have all 5 star that are available except encore .
I was going to lowkey go for both, but since we're getting the extra 5* selector im gonna use it to pick up calcharo and save for both the girls in 1.1 since i really like their designs especially changli

You need a full/ready ultimate too use the outro skill. So how are you planning on using her both for the nuking dmg and her outro skill at the same time ?

This video helped me so much. I LOVE Calcharo so I really want Yinlin, but both the story AND the fact that Danjin is my favourite character makes me so tempted to try for Jiyan.
I plan to play this game a lot and don't mind spending a small amount (pass and sub), so I'll try for the first 50/50 and then wait for Yinlin.
I'm going after his weapon since i got him on the first 10x. Another good thing about trying to pull for Jiyan is Danjin is one of the 4 stars on the banner.

Yeah. I think I’ll be able to get yinlin too. Got jiyan in 17, now sitting at 35 pity, lucky enough to have gotten calcharo early in standard banner too. Now have Verina as select, and pulled limited wep yesterday! So I’m saving everything else til yinlin

@@omidog06sad thing is i lost my 50/50 after 68 pulls . And rn i am at 96 pulls i.e. 69th failed (lingyang) + 27 more. I got the worst luck with limited banner characters. But my standard banner character luck is way to good. Like just starting the game i have 3 of the best 5 stars i.e calcharo,xinyang,verina. Got 2 copies of lingyang (1normal +1 failed attempt) but idk lingyang seems 1 of the worst standard 5 star rn to have.

Got Calcharo at beginner banner, chose Verina at the 5-star selector and got her in 10 wish, after that i thought it would be cool to give Calcharo a nice weapon so i rolled at the limited weapon and got it at 31 pity, wanted danjin so i rolled at the jiyan banner but ended up with jiyan and lingyang at 30 pity guaranteeing my Yinlin. Not to mention the second 5-star selector we will get….
damn bro... and here i am... I wanted calcharo or verina in the begineers banner but got lingyang in hard pity 50 puls... and then choosed calcharo in 5star selector and did 30 draws, didn't get anything yet... In jiyan's banner did 60 pulls and didn't get anything so i am planning to save up and go for yinlin... So, haven't trird in weapon banner yet, if i got lucky in yinlin's banner I am planning to go for yinlin's weapon.
How did u get the 5 star selector and how do you collect the currency needed to pull on limited banners?
@@Sincerity1993 The selector will be avaible tomorrow (or tonight/evening if you're in the west I think). The currency you will get by playing the story, exploring, doing quests that give it, events, etc.

Calcharo is more than enough as a Main DPS to pilot your account through the early content. There is also Danjin and Havoc Rover that can get their own teams or work together to clear abyss floors.
I got Jiyan S1 early in the game and got the weapon 2 pity in a row, now I won the rate and got Yinlin, I hope to get the weapon too❤

Early dps are always gonna get powercrept on either 1.3 or 1.4, thats why im not pulling for jiyan and pulling for yinlin bc she still usable for limited electro dps and future characters, and the leaks said that scar is coming on 1.2/1.3 and by the looks of it hes a dps

I was hyped to get him since seeing his animations before launch, but I lost pity at 70 pulls so I think it might just be wiser for me to rely on calcharo as dps early on and have yinlin as a support.
Got 2 copies of Jiyan and just got his weap today. The game is in it's beginning phase, there's so much content that gives pulls, I'll just keep pulling all throughout 1.x and if some characters I don't get become meta defining, they'll defo come back soon anyway. So yeah, just keep pulling lol

I was debating pulling Jiyan or not because I have a record of losing my first 50/50 (no srsly. All 3 other times) and I wanted Yinlin in phase 2. I dont have any extra money to spend atm, so with my luck I'd possibly be screwed over.
What made me certain to skip Jiyan is Jinhsi. I didnt know until now that Jinhsi was coming in 1.1. Literally as I was playing the story 2 days ago, I was like- oml I want Lady Magistrate playable I would SO pull, and now here we are.
Is there any information about what her role will be?

Jiyan's the manliest guy we got so far. Dragons symbolize masculinity and power, he has dragon motifs and he was released in the yr of the dragon. His dps is crazy strong too. This man is the literal definition of a lore accurate Chinese dragon in human form
While with Yinlin, her whole appearance speaks for itself. If you as a man have a bad habit of always going for waifus, even when the guys are greatly designed and insanely strong and skip out on the one man that is THE pinnacle of masculinity in this yr of the dragon, an animal representing strength and masculinity, shame on you buddyboy

For me, if you didn't get Calcharo and opt to get Verina from the selection banner, it might be a good idea to get Jinyan.
But at the same time, we have an upcoming 5s character selector, so there's no excuse not to get calcharo atm.
Got Jiyan in 12 pulls and his sig weapon in 5 pulls before watching this video😭 I was aiming for Yinlin at first, but also wanted Jiyan so i tried pulling. Hoping to Win 50/50 on Yinlin's banner with her weapon.
Dude that is inane. i got jiyan in 8 pulls , i tried like 6 pulls in weapon banner , and dropped the idea . And i put like 42 pulls into the character banner for mortefi and danjing. Now i realize that Jiyan's weapon is the only good longsword in the game currently , and learnt only now that gear can be switched between characters in the tower of adversity(My calcharo).
i just hope i can farm more pulls , have 2.6k astrite as of now.
I pulled for Jiyan and im pulling for weapon, I have been plaing him and not only he has mutch better damage and simple fun kit than Calcharo, hes also hot AF so yeah, defenitley i will have a Keching moment (I still play keching now a dais even though she is not strong just because she was my first 5 star and carried me through the early game so is jiyan)

I got him from 10 pulls. Saving my gems for a new character that i will enjoy. Atm, jiyan is doing great in my team and the fact that he is easy to use, it saves me time not to think about doing complex combos as long as he does his job i dont mind that he will be powercrept soon 🙏🏽 i like his play style and with yangyang as my battery, i can use his ult often

Skipping Jiyan for both Yinlin and Jhinsi. Got Calcharo on the discount banner and planning to get Verina from the selector. As soon as Yinlin comes out, i will have a very cracked team.

I got Jiyan by using the third balls out of six that i bought from the monthly shop and i kinda like his ult that makes his attack to pull the enemy around him.
So she's basically a 5 star Beidou:
Both Electro
Both can be played as a Main DPS but shine more as a Sub/off-field DPS
While Beidou has black hair and a red Qipao, Yinlin is the opposite
Both are voiced by Ami Koshimizu
I was originally going to skip Jiyan for yinlin, but I accidentally got Jiyan at 16 pity, and now I currently have 81 standard tides for Yinlin

i pulled like a 100-140 amount worth of wuwa currency (with the mail pulls), now i am with a c1 jiyan, c1 jianxin, and 2 jiyan weapon + chalcaro, now i am standing at like 40-50 pity on character banner (with c4 mortefi and c3 danji while wanting more chixia cons but having only c1+ ,somehow with a c5 yuanwu) if anything, i am pretty sure i be able to get yinlin and the other red hair in 1.1, tough, i need to win 50/50, since my last one was guaranteed
I decided to pull on Jiyan and got him early on, I could just make him my dps and just restrain myself from pulling at Yinlin's and other's banner, that way I could save up more pulls if another character is up for a release 😂
I didn't even get the chance to choose any one of them lol
