Love these interactive slides apps. Huge Peardeck fan here though. Saw some Nearpod features PD can't do and know some PD features NP can't do. I'd say its no competition. Just give these apps or addons just a go and make your (a)synchonous f2f or online lessons more interactive and give every student a voice. That's the biggest advantage. Timid students will vent their opinion when using these tolls wheras without using them they would hide in the comfort of anonimity. Or under the shouting of the biggest yelling students. I truely like it's acually an accessibility tool in a way for such students to include them in the lesson or debate.
I wonder why the collaborative board won't work in countries like China? I can understand slides that use TH-cam not working but why the collaborative board? Is its source a website that is blocked in China?
Hi, Thank you for your question. I contacted Nearpod with this, and they responded that the Collab board utilizes Google. And all of their clients with school accounts in China tell her they must use VPNs to use Nearpod. Hope this helps.
The teacher can't see the questions anymore. They just see the ABC answers. If you have 20 questions, how will the teacher be able to recall what question f was for example?.
Definitely! You can present the main screen and every attendee can have access to their own instance in their browser. That way you can have interaction and control the flow of a presentation.
Please make the text box feature a bit simpler for adult learners who struggle more with the way it works. That could expand interest to educators who work in adult learning space, like me
