Only 4 different levels that loops over and over again, but with different colors. There is an ending though.
The music sounds odd, but I checked the music file and it's supposed to sound like that.
When you lose a life, the game continues in a weird way. It just happens so suddenly. Here's an example: 06:05.
I noticed on the last few levels that jumping can make the purple guy stop chasing me.
First few levels were easy as I could just jump over the enemies, but later on they can jump too, so they do it at the same time and I often get hit.
There's a small GFX line error that appears on certain colored maps. Don't know if it's a faulty disk problem (didn't use .ipf this time) or from save-states. Or maybe some basic/default setting in WinUAE the game didn't like. Anyway, it's nothing major.
Like it said when the game was completed; I can continue playing from the beginning with my score intact, but killed myself and showed the game over and high score stuff instead. -

Loved this game back in the days. This game nicely filled up the whole screen using the overscan technique which allowed a 736x566 resolution IIRC.

Easily the best conversion of Pac-mania on the home computer scene. I remember seeing the ST version years before I got an Amiga and I liked that one but when they are compared the Amiga does exceed it by some distance.
True. The biggest plus is here probably the bigger screen, enabling you to see more of the playfield.
I do think the music for the Atari ST is significantly better, though.
@@607 Personal preference, I think the music on Amiga is miles better, but that's because I was used to it.

Had the best soundtrack, even compared to the arcade.
This brings back great memories of playing it on my A2000 which I still have, although it is currently dead so I have to play it on my Amiga emulator instead

Love it still today. Got my Amiga 500+ and playing this game and, Pinball dreams, Gods, Zool and robocod. GOLD. Me and my brother got the Amiga 500 at christmas 1991. I still have it 😃👍

It goes much faster on later levels.
Yes, the early levels are slow. The speed gradually increases from level to level until it gets insane.
i get that, what i don't get is why it just has to be ridiculously slow at the beginning
by the time you actually get faster you're bored out of your mind
