Love how these games also teach world geography... These images of Ayers Rock and Easter Island were etched in my brain... Particularly when I visited Australia two years ago.
What an awesome game this was!!! My dad and I loved playing this on co-op mode. We were thoroughly destroyed on the later levels though!! This brings back a lot of great memories, thanks for uploading :)
Brilliant version of a great game. If I remember right, this would struggle on my A500 with half a meg of ram, sometimes it would just reset itself too. When I bought a 1.5 meg upgrade I needed for some music software I was using at the time, this sorted out all the issues with the game plus the game then added the animals and bonus items into the mix. I wonder if the game needed at least 1 meg to run properly.
It wasn't a matter of performance - I suspect that the initial batch of copies suffered from a flaw in the disk access and/or copy protection code, because I bought a copy shortly after it came out and it would randomly Guru during loading - in fact it eventually ended up destroying data on the disk permanently.
This game on amiga uses a real 64 colors scheme (thanks to the copper !), and not the halfbright 64 colors normally used on amiga. The game screen during the game is splitted in 4 stripes. Each one has a specific 16 colors palette, 4 x 16 = 64 ! Another Pierre Adane's feat, he was really a talented software engineer on amiga back in the day :) !
This brings back memories. Played this game a lot. Awesome ending and some of the maps (ie all the ice ones) were a real pain to beat. Great fun with 2 players. Until you started trolling each other and getting them killed and restarting the stage again or the last bubble kills your colleague.
Before I’m going to watch this. TH-cam can please tell them to stop putting ads. Many people are very angry at those ads before the start of the video maybe one or two ads. Thank you and be safe👍👍👍👍
I can't believe it. I got to the VERY LAST LEVEL of this game in the arcade.. and couldn't beat it. I was -this- close to enjoying the Easter Island sunset #HeadHitsDesk
He looks a lot like Gohan from DBZ and kinda imagine if Goku and Chi-Chi were not around..then shooting balloons would be his free time besides training
@@turricanedtc3764 Many games have loads of errors. Even new ones, EVEN professional ones. I see it everywhere. On TV as well, on professional websites etc. It's all over.
@@iamironclaw - Indeed! The arcade version of Pang had some pretty epic "Engrish" though - I think the attract mode for the double harpoon said something like "You Good Rythm To Shoot", which Ocean France changed to something like "You can shoot two at a time".
Wow, you aren't kidding though. I had Super Buster Bros on the SNES, and the music is the same...maybe at a higher quality, and with the exception of the 'hurry up' and 'stage end' musics, but still EXACTLY the same.
Actually, Mitchell (Amiga version's licensor) created the arcade one. It's another case of an arcade game having 3 different titles (Buster Brothers is only the USA release, Pang is the European title, & Pomping World is Japan's).

Brings back memories when I was in my early teens ..... Great game ....

I remember this game. I played it with a classmate 34 years ago. Never seen it since.

if it was an Atari ST remake would it use half-bright or HAM hold and modify 16 colours?
@@jasonlee7816 nope.
So Son Gohan spare time was shooting balloons?
Hello childhood.

A perfect port, about as close to the original as you could get.
So great time playing this game

0:00 - 1:00 -- Gee, I wonder who made this game...
Let them rejoice for one port made by them that wasn't janky af xD
Ocean seems to make all the cool addictive games.
Nope. Not their game. Not this one.
My bad.

That's not really where Paris is... Berlin is more likely...
hmm I don't remember seeing any animals or things besides the balloon balls, but everything else looks the same :S
Great game.
"Shoot the balloons and it will split in half", shouldn't it be "they will split in half"?
But sure, the smallest ones won't split.
If you think that grammar was bad, have a look at the arcade original...

I wonder how much Ocean had to pay Capcom for ripping off Buster Brothers and not giving them any credit.
