      @@BeastMadeReviewsto be fair, you make a % of the sale w/ an affiliate link. I mean do you, but this is not a good argument lol.
      DM pays like 13%, right? 13% of $170($22.10) is a lot more than the 8% of $70($5.60) that Ridge pays. Ridge has wayy more affiliates meaning people are a lot less likely to click your link if you're "pro ridge". Let's say you make 20% on $15 ($3). You'd have to get 7+ more people to use your link. And we all know these $15 wallets aren't paying 20% lol- maybe 3%($0.45 or like 200 wallets to make the same money on one sale.. I mean you could be 100% honest, but just bc other wallets have affiliate links doesn't mean you're not making substantially more by hand-picking them. (;

    I'm on a market for a new wallet. Thinking about the Contour but I want something easier to fan out the cards and it seems as if the button would take sometime to take out the cards at the counter..but I might still grab it!?
    Now, I've had the Aviator wallet obsidan slim, I loved it so much the ONLY problem is that after 8 months of usage the front plates become a little loose and it never felt secure, maybe because I was over stuffing my wallet with cards...
    From this list you've showed my fav one was the GeoGrit. I just love how beautiful it looks with those screws and the way the cards fan out. I just wish like they had more designs like the Ridge. It's a new company so will see.

Currently using an OD aluminum Ridge I have had since 2018, for now ;) Probably the most surprising thing about my Ridge is that in nearly 5 years of daily carry, I have not yet had to change the elastic strap. It is still as reliable as the day I bought it.

    I've had two ridge knock offs and I loved them, carried each for a year, I spent the money on a Ridge and theyre the same as the knockoffs, I definitely just paid for the name, but I love it, I used to carry bi or tri fold thick leather wallets, but never again will I carry a non minimalist wallet. i totally love the XSTO! I have it for more than a year now and it's definitely the last wallet you'll ever need. It's built to last a lifetime as it's 100% metal. But with that, comes the downside that it eats out the sides of your cards and can tear through your jeans if you use it in your back pocket. So I just changed the way i carry it.

    • @Dabby724

      I've had it for over a year and initially it was a fantastic wallet but I access my cards quite often and the sides of my cards are seriously damaged. Most people mostly use 1 to 3 cards on a daily basis with the rest just being there. And 3 are easily accessible in the case of a Ridge or a similar design. With experience it gets easier. I certainly wouldn't see that as a reason not to get a ridge or a similar wallet.

    I had just received my Ridge, and I was looking for a tutorial on its use. What I found were videos showing that not only is the Ridge minimalist wallet the only one of its kind, but there is a whole market of minimalist wallets made by several other companies too! 😲
    Anyway, I see how disappointing it is that the Ridge uses a little thumb slot to push the cards out with (you actually have to use a thumb nail to push out a specific card) when they should have made a wider slot in the center or by the side to push them out instead.
    The money clip for the Ridge looks like a neat accessory to hold cash (folded bills only) but it is not fair that it has to be ordered separately.
    My only gripes are with the little slot and having to buy the money clip separately later (imagine how silly receiving a little thing like that in the mail would be).
    I took pride though in purchasing it, because there is a The Ridge company located here in Canada, so the product was delivered pretty quick (in about 2 - 3 days). 😄

    XSTO all the way! Been using it for 6 years. Just luv it! The last wallet you'll ever need. Read some comments about card edges being eaten up. Just keep the one or two cards you use the most at the front. You may have to slide them out but you can reinsert them by placing one end in wallet and then slightly bending the card while you insert the other end. Been doing this for 6 years and haven't had any problems with the card or its edges.

    These wallets seem like a great idea since I won't have to sit on a wallet any longer. But I also hate wearing shorts in the summer and having a bunch of stuff in my front pockets. It looks so bulky and ugly. I wish they can combine these wallets with a keyholder as one flat item in your front pocket, like the size of a phone. Otherwise, you have a wallet and your keys that stack on top of each other for a bulky front pocket.

    Oh yeah on the price of the decadent minimalist...in titanium you'll have that wallet till you lose it or its stolen versus hiw long for the elastic band on any of these others. I recommend the extra money for the titanium version as the materials both light and EXTREMELY strong so damaging it a very hard proposition...the aluminum can flex and distort if squished to hard in a weird way. Only thing ill give these over it is the rfid blocking, which is something you have to add "cards" to it to do the same thing. The old addage, buy once-cry once..plus it can be custom laser etched if bought from the main website versus amazon
