Kicking the can behind the counter is a reference to Megaman Legends where once you enter the shopping lot you can kick a can behind a store counter with the game giving you 500 refractors for doing so (and also popping up a message in the processes)
That was my first thought and I haven't played that game in over a decade, just remember being broke and needing an upgrade and wasting so much time on that stupid infuriating minigame

If it makes you feel any better, it was likely put there for shits and giggles. It was documented by the CAW, who frankly suck at containing information, it was all in the movies, and she is still able to wear helmets, her bones in her tail would all he crushed. Therefore, it likely was just there for jokes
Isn't this pretty commonly seen in cartoons though, usually when a character is electrocuted or something.
Another easter egg! In the mission "Pink Paw Manhole" in Nyakuza Metro, there are secret buttons you can press after collecting enough Electric Pons to unlock the Time Piece. Upon pressing them all, a door opens that leads to a secret train riding segment with loads of fire and Snatcher faces (the cats that pull the trains are also Snatcher cats) and you get a special sticker at the end!!
and its the most annoying sticker if you are in a online party room with max players
i can't believe you didn't include the little island on mafia town, basically if you fly through the sky to the island with a tent, there is a sign that says "sod off, or we will send queen vensa after you"

@@DoggoBox in the DLC’s you can get different outfits such as a new sweater, a new jacket, a pixelated version of hat kid and a snatcherfied version of her. So not exactly.
@@Hello_I_Have_Appeared_ it's literally been 3 years and i don't even fully know what i was trying to say lol. pretty sure i separated dyes and outfits due to their different functionality but shared slot, with my point being that he glossed over the outfits while making the video just because of the sheer lack of them compared to dyes. 99% sure the trailers also separate them.

You missed a couple, like the alternate Ice Hat that looks like Omanyte, or the outfit colors from Nyakuza with stuff like Fortress and Battlements being based on Team Fortress 2, or the death wish outfits that give her Banjo's outfit or the Metal Mario texture.
But wow, I completely missed the Yakuza easter egg, gonna have to go find that myself! That one's awesome!
I’d also like to add that the Margin of Night dye is coloured after the main character Niko from oneshot. Nightmargin being the name of one of the devs

I believe you can also use the Dweller Mask in Vanessa's Manor's basement to reveal chains and a humanoid silhouette, which is a neat Easter egg if you know the backstory behind Vanessa.

I can give a little bit of side information on the first two easter eggs
(please correct me if im wrong on some of these)
the creepy sound in the spaceship plays after exactly 20 minutes after the spaceship is loaded and is made out of the boss defeat explosion sound and a random sound made by the toilet of doom boss. The sound is also specifically coming from the bedroom, but is loud enough to be heard in the entire ship lol.
My theory is that this is a reference to the creepy sounds that can be heard when idling in any of the Splatoon 1 singleplayer boss stages.
the structure under the attic stairs in the tour rift is a reference to one of the developers mod levels found on the steam workshop (I'm not 100% sure but I think it's "Ultra Silence").
The idea that AHiT has a Splatoon reference brings me joy, thank you

This is one of my all-time favorite games, and the secrets and hidden lore only make me love it more. It gives me so much to wonder about, and not in the "I need ANSWERS NOW" kind of way that some games do (cough cough Close to the Sun), which is the sign of a good game.

The Moleman ARG actually is referenced by the secret easter egg with the white portal in the time rift attic as well, because the ARG is actually a long-running storyline that is in every one of Habboi's mods. The attic easter egg is a reference to a phenomenon in the ARG's story called "The White Twilight", a force of nature that happens when time is interfered with (If I'm correct that is). The lore may be non-canon to the original Hat In Time, but it has since branched off and has become it's own story, dropping Hat Kid eventually in the last bit of the story released in a level called "Wet Hero Challenge", which was released in 2018 and reupdated in 2019. This then extends to a level called "Ultra Silence", which is a continuation past Wet Hero Challenge's ending. The most recent addition that is a reference to the ARG made by Habboi is Nightmare Rift, which was added and made in 2019. The ARG's story is complicated, and like you said, all of the info on the ARG is well-documented on "starsoverthehorizon" 's tumblr. I find it so interesting that Habboi started this ARG to mess with people who liked ARGs, but then decided to expand on the story over time to the point where it's actually its own story. Sadly though, the only way to access the old "Moleman" videos are through the Waybackmachine. And the Wayback is unreliable most of the time when it comes to getting the videos.

Time rift storybooks are references to vaults in psychonauts, and the c.a.w. Agents are references to the g-men. The even say: “hello, fellow express owl” a reference to the g-men’s line: “hello, fellow road crew worker”

fyi the kicking the cans behind the desk is a reference to megaman legends 1 where in a market you could kick a can into a shop for money and do it repeatedly but would make megaman progressively darker shades of blue which is why the reward is gold shades referencing the money you got and the changing shades of color
A giant depiction of Moonjumper's face can be seen on the wall behind the camera in Vanessa's attic.

Fun fact about the cookie in Seal The Deal: If you play co-op, Hat Kid and Bow Kid can take the cookie from eachother by stepping right by whoever has the cookie. Not much, but still very cute! :D

There is more spooky stuff in the Basement of Queen Vanessa's manor. If you use the Specter Hat near the chains close to the where you entered the Basement, you will see the vague outline of what used to be the Prince (i.e. Snatcher) when he was locked up after a misunderstanding between him and Queen Vanessa!
I had no idea about the secret shortcut to the Attic in Queen Vanessa's manor, so thanks for that!
The shapeshifter actually moreso resembles the badge salesman to me. They give me the same 'not of this world' vibe.

I feel like queen vannesa is a refference to the white witch in narnia, mainly because she has an ice castle and turns people into statues of ice. Theres also the statues at the front of the building wich i think there is something like that in the story (meaning there are statues that attack but then turn back into statues)

in the nyakuuza metro, if you fly (or use an infinite jump badge like me) up to the very top of the map, you can find a giant rat. interacting with it only gives you a dialouge box that says "howdy ;)"

Probably late to this but I found the note in the basement. It was tucked behind a crate on the left side in the corner closer to the lab.
To be fair, her hair has jiggle-bones physics... so there is genuinely bones in her hair.
I love the Raz easter egg so much!!! Psychonauts is one of my favorite games and I legit freaked finding out he got an easter egg!!
If you dont know , snatcher is the prince , in the cellar use the dwellers mask on the chains on the wall and you can see the prince’s outline and he had turned into , the noodle ghost aka snatcher

After you beat the secret cat, you can find a mouse that just says "howdy" on the opposite platform.
No one is talking about that and i feel like im the only person that knows about it. I found it like a year ago.
i dunno if anyone knows this but theres a hidden japanese text somewhere in the subcon forest (that you can see only with the hat that makes you see green objects i forgot its name). i found it once but i never could find anyone talking about it at all. all i remember is that it was somewhere near a well
One thing that you missed was the hidden food in each chapter. Yes, the Sod Off Cheese Wheel is found in every chapter, but there are some other things, too. There is a burger hidden somewhere in the Alpine Skyline (I don't know where specifically) and gelatin in the Nyakuza Metro. (One is near where the egg for the hidden anime cat fight if you just down and one hidden behind a billboard on the first train in the yellow line)
Another thing is Snatcher's hidden Death Wish. In the Electro Pon manhole (The one where you need 100 blue pons) If you get 100 and press four red button hidden throughout the level, a door opens leading to a section where you just back and forth on two train cars pulled by two Snatcher-like cats. (Maybe a reference to Rough-Patch, but probably not)
I've watched so much stuff on this game and you still manage to find even more weird stuff. I loved those headphones and never noticed stuff written on them, let alone the qr code.
I wish you could wear the gold glasses as a clothing item so you could always wear them.
I wish I knew that shortcut in Vanessa's Manor, it would've been so useful for me and my brother who were scared of that map

My favorite Easter egg was playing the Corgi quest game demo where I jokingly made a Dennis joke at the beginning and was then floored when they actually delivered on the joke and I actually had to go Dennis at the end of the demo.
The mini portal might be a reference to the original A Hat in Time, back when the story was different, and *WAY* darker then before...

Somebody said there's still an un-discovered easter egg in Vanessa's Manor that can be found before even obtaining the first key. I gave them a list of every discovered easter egg in the manor so far to confirm, and they said it's still un-discovered. They refuse to tell anybody what it is, so if anybody could help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

The cheese is a reference (probably) to perfect Dark a Nintendo64 shooter game that had pieces of cheese in weird places like in a bathroom or a window
That line art of Razputin from Psychonauts has to be a reference to the Figments in that same game.
Something interesting I found was in the Tour Rift aftering getting 55 time pieces. The final area is the attic in the spaceship, and if you check out R King instead of the golden stuff, it's a weird yellow portal with white stones around it.
The creepy noise might be Star Wars sounds because it’s sounds like chewbakka and R2-D2
Some of the alternate colors for hat kid have references to different characters. Theres one called "the big appetite" with warios color scheme, "cute and dangerous" for peach, and "margin of the night" for niko from one shot. Margin of the night also references someone who worked on one shot called Nightmargin
SO fun fact about the weird noise that plays when you idle. it doesn't JUST happen after a while its specifically made to happen in hat kids room. if you idle for long enough the sound will play once you open the door to hat kids room
