Recognized Borderlands Granular right away and had a gut feeling Samplr was his second app. :) .. Unbeatable iOS performance tools.
love this setup btw., using something similar myself -- Ableton Push 2, Komplete Kontrol s61, iPad .. Tried studiomux but it crashed too often, so went with iConnectMidi4+ hardware solution. Quantum Sequencer, Fugue Machine, Borderlands + touchable.

Can anyone explain how the launchpad was used, he briefly mentions routing but then doesn't use the launchpad for that

SUCH a shame that Samplr isn't getting updated for like 2 years or so :/ Hope it will work for a long time before being dropped by an iOS Update.
@* AnimalHeadSpirit * It's such a good app that it's worth getting an iPad just for it... And Borderlands obviously! Earlier versions of the iPad are pretty cheap secondhand now, I think musicians will be snapping them up, installing the apps and disconnecting them from the internet so they never update, therefore ensuring the apps work forever.

it's called Livid CNTRL R, but they don't make them anymore. I think some controllers by Faderfox are the closest you can get to this.

The 'sampler' app he's using on his tablet is also called a granular synth. Those are pretty fun with touch screens.

Hmmm need to find a way to send midi from iPad apps to other instruments via sound interface ... so much to learn with this hobby ... :D AND SO MANY CABLES! :D
iConnectivity MIDI4+ will do that. Plus you can hook up 8 MIDI controllers to it via a USB hub, send MIDI to hardware on 4 different ports, hook up two iPads as well as a computer and route MIDI and digital audio in between all of them.

Anyone know what kind of ipad is this?? Im looking for iPad for similar use as Mattokind and i don't know which one to buy. Don't want to buy a the newest ones just for 4-5 apps and additional gear for my macbook pro m1 setup
hi! not trying to sell you apple but I recommend to wait a few months and buy the new ipad 9 maybe second hand, if not I have the ipad 6 and works well for 3 or 4 apps

The setup is fantastic and I´ve tried to re-create it using the als-file, but I guess I´m too stupid, cause I can´t get it to work in-depth. So anyone got the studiomux to work? Any help would be appreciated ;) Just let me know. You don´t have to do it for free

How to send any sound from - for example vst synth or ext gear - to Borderland using studiomux - there is no problem to get the sound from studiomux to ableton, but i don't now how to figure out for the first case
i've just tried to set this up today. same problem as you studiomux hosting borderlands>ableton is fine but borderlands won't present any inputs to studiomux or ableton, so i can't get audio into it. did you manage to find a solution?

They have some nice adapters that go Thunderbolt into a few USBs and everything else you need.

does anyone know how these scripts he mentions work? at the 2:00 minute mark? how to setup?
He's using ClyphX, which can do all sorts of things. For example, if you go to 2:05, you can see the track named Set Auto, which contains clips (called X-Clips) with instructions (called Actions) that are being used to set the tempo and select different tracks.
Just Google ClyphX and you'll find lots of info on it. ClyphX Pro is now available, which is quite a bit more powerful and easier to use.

I figured out how to route midi notes from the drum rack to VST in other track (with external inst. and IAC), but anyone can tell me how to route the drum rack's macros to control params in the VST? (unfortunately I run Live9 so I can't download the file)
I actually use this for the MIDI www.maxforlive.com/library/device/3007/midi-router-and-receiver-xs and CLYPHX for the mark mappings.
