disclosure is really one of a kind for this generation. their styles are so vast and relateable through out so many different genres. I've never heard any one not like some style of their music. the settle album really brought me into a whole garage house style of music. thank you guys for being so passionate about your craft!

Like I said, man. Check underground music, I've seen a lot of techno and house dj's who use a laptop, some synthesizers and a drum machine to make music.
Coxo Chary generally all edm artist have some sort of instrument background, of course some not but every show ive been too is in this kinda idea an direction from virtual riot to odesza. Now some are way better like these lads.

Can't help but to dance along. I remember seeing you guys twice at the Union Transfer Center and loving that you guys brought me the same, if not better, intensity to us live. Not many others have done so to me in my opinion. So please for the love of everything good, don't stop the music, Disclosure. Got nothing but love for you guys.

The reason I fell in love with disclosure was because of settle being played live it is a spectacle seeing them do it and it sounding so good. So much better than their dj sets as they aren't fantastic djs but are fantastic live.

I really really really wish they told us how everything is routed with all those lap tops running the same thing. that is something I have been dreaming about doing but haven't dove into trying it yet. these guys kick fucking ass

Usually "pop," type producer play the simplest DJ sets, wave their hands a bunch, and then say how crazy cool their own shows are. Disclosure has actual live talent, doing actual things on stage, and don't try to "hype up," their shows. I have an insane amount of respect for them after watching this

When people use ableton on stage, do they switch between different project sets between the tracks? Seems like that would take a lot of time. But if you have everything in one set, it must be even harder, correcting tempo etc.
I know you commented 6 months ago, but no, absolutely not. The goal is to organise everything into one session/project. Changing tempo between songs is quite simple in Ableton, it's a set and forget and the DAW handles it automatically. This is only really relevant if the musicians are performing alongside a backing track, and in this case, it looks like they just use Ableton as a connector for all of this hardware. Judging by this video, it looks like the majority of the music is performed live.
Can anyone tell me the Software he's using to change All Patches in his set to match the song? Was just thinking how it would be nice to have software that could save all my gears patches in a bundle-folder etc while Im working in the studio.
im not asking what daw. ....but can you do that inside of daws? like, save your hardware patches that your using to create music within the daw so when you open said project it changes all your synths/machines to match.
Most synths that take any kind of MIDI and CC message can take messages to Program Change, which will tell it what bank and patch to use. Means you dont have to touch it, just play :)

Now; I haven't the faintest clue on how they route all that midi. But Ableton Live is a great start to all that, since you can literally control everything from lighting to patch changes through automation

Ive been using Ableton for almost 10+yrs, recently Ive upgraded my studio to mostly Analog Kit, I just think it would be a great APP Idea, many people would get it. Ya know, press 1 button and everything that is running Midi into a project is collected and stored / next time you open 'said' project, all is as it was so you dont have to fiddle around and remember each pacht etc etc. If you know what Im saying you Know this would be a game changer. I also have an Idea for a Global Library-Sample auditioner - cross platform - for every daw running on your system (simple elegant sollutions that everyone wants) ...no I dont mean a sample editor/or librarian...something like Abletons Library but that works Globaly on your desktop for all things ITB. no, no and no. i extremely respect disclosure exactly for not playing it safe, not repeating settle and making something completely different with different points pulling the album as whole, leaving another remarkable standpoint in their career.
A3roTV yeh same but the quality wasn't there, don't get me wrong there was some quality tracks on caracal but it shows where the quality is when they play more settle tracks in their live sets.

Because they don't like Magnets and Nocturnal, they want more tracks like January. Caracal still delivers loads of awesome songs, like Hourglass and Holding On.

Also worth noting that you can easily set the bpm for each scene, so it’s not a problem to have songs at different tempos in the same set

Radial SW8 switching racks. If it detects a dropout of more then a few ms it will switch the audio pairs over immediately. Pretty nifty shit.
