Always amazes me that 2 people half way around the world have connected and play music together like this. They compliment each other vocally and musically so well. Always getting confused whose singling whose song. ❤
23:47 bueno... love this. I have watched and listened to this so many times. Will continue for as long as it's available. Courtney and Kurt make good music together.
The original video had incredible audio quality... but stil these songs better when they play them live , like that , than when they play them in separate bands
Kurt has a very distinct sound, music is sort of like a alt southern rock Nirvana but his voice is so distinct and original its hard to find something to compare it to. Very underrated talent.
What?! I’ve never heard of this guy but I’m 55 😅 his voice is reminiscent of J Mascis… one of those voices that you either love it or hate it. Dylan, Young, Petty and the aforementioned above etc
Her hand was actually blurred IRL, after she travelled back in time and accidentally disrupted her parents' meet cute and almost erased her own existence and yeah ever since then her hand has been blurry but at least her head is still there.
"Top 250 Greatest Guitarists' list? Rolling Stones is about as relevant as "leaf toilet paper". And just as bogus. About as relevant as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nicely written songs. But "guitarist". I don't think so.
You should try and see Courtney live. I saw her play a solo show last month and it really put into perspective how talented she is and how unique her style is. She definitely belongs on that list.
@@Dat1frog Ah....NO! While she might be ok, there are NO youtube videos that show her playing live that tells me she's a stand out guitar player. I'm not saying she's bad, (although I'm still waiting to see something to sway me), but bro! Come on. There's HUNDREDS of players that are FAR superior to her. And there's several others that should give up spots for people like Steve Howe, Roy Clark, Glenn Campbell, Joe Bonamassa am so many more. I'm sure I'd enjoy her in concert. But 2 things. It's silly for anyone (especially Rolling Stones) to label ANYONE (or 250 of them) "The GOAT". There's too many great players and labeling ANYTHING that is 'subjective' is ridiculous. 2nd. I've enjoyed people in concert immensely that were not great guitarists. Neil Young is NOT a great guitarist but I love his lead solo's. All in the eye of the beholder right brother?
There are many people who are better at playing the guitar but what matters to me is what you are able to do with the instrument. and in my opinion, there are not many modern-day guitarists that can do what she can. Her last album specifically used a lot of weird techniques that you don't see other people use together which showcases her creativity. I also just think she is incredibly versatile which I another thing that I value when it comes to ranking guitarists. Overall my comment was mainly just to point out that this performance on its own is not really the best showcase of her ability and I respect your opinion considering the fact that music is completely subjective.@@cowboy7x
@@Dat1frog You're right, when it comes to "what matrix" you use in measuring guitar skills. But rolling stone's matrix is NOT what I would consider relevant. People like Jack White or Anne Clark (St. Vincent) can come up with some very arty and innovative sounds and creations, but they're still not what I would call "Top 250" or "GOAT" players. However, if Rolling Stone would have labeled this "Top 250" "artists" then I would have considered her (and others) much more worthy of this declaration. And personally, in line with your thinking, I usually would rather see a great artist in concert, like Dylan, Young, Fogelberg, Steve Earl, Ashley Cleveland, Jackson Brown, Joni Mitchell, Ian Anderson, Christopher Cross, Mark Heard, Bruce Cockburn etc., who are good (some of them great guitarists but who are ASLO, the kind of artists that make the guitar an essential part of their artistry.
Thank you Courtney and Kurt, I felt like i left this crazy world for an hour, what a break it was.

I dont know about you but im basically begging for Vol2 at this point.
this album is magic, lightning in a bottle.

Loving it and I know none of this music! I only know a few of Courtney’s songs - this stopped me from listening to Avant Gardner over and over again
“Untogether” I know that cover song! Wonderful
Man it would have been a once in a lifetime experience to just sit in front of this magical gig by the seaside. Amazing
Exactly, what a treat this would be.
holy shit thank you for reuploading this
Thank you for the re-upload
Man I wish I could hear this again with the OG audio quality

Little piece of heaven on earth
why did they turn this down? It's absolutely magnific
What do you mean?
@@aaronmoore192They took it off of TH-cam for a while and now it's back up. I notice that the sound is now lacking. 😢

Thanks for posting this!! Thought it was lost when PF took it down/ Amazing recording, love it!!
sucks that the quality isn't as good as it was. WTF Pitchfork
This is insanely good 💗💗💯💯
love the vulnerability in the delivery!!
never thought about these two playing together such a complimentary similar style never heard any of these songs though.

Over Everything. I could just listen to that on loop for hours. I will probz watch this version of it for days.
Vielen Dank an allen Beteiligten ! Sehr schöne Bilder und sehr schöne Musik ❤
Most definitely!
Génial, j'adore
Let it go live so much better than recorded version !
great live performances!

Not really
His voice reminds me a lot of Vic Chessnut, worth checking him out if you like Kurt
@@taylorrenee4880Not really - what exactly?
I think you could add some Lou Reed into his vocal mix, especially in the structure of many of his songs and the world-weary edge.
He kinda the progression of Neil Young, for our modern time
She’s left handed! ❤🇧🇷
yes and that's a Kurt Cobain Jaguar. Really great guitar, I have the same one like she's playing
@@deepfocus888 the Kurt Cobain model is a Jagstang, based off he used parts from a Jaguar and Mustang.
My husband is a lefty❤️🎸💯
@@Andrew-oj2yo Kurt Cobain has two models with fender. A jagstang *and* a Jaguar
I feel bad for not noticing that all these months.
This version of Life Like Mine is a masterpiece.
This is magic
Great cover of Belly at the end - Untogether. Check out Belly if you are unaware.
Very emotional
Rest in peace Rob Laakso.

On another completely different note, Milk Records, you really need to make those T-shirts tighter, lol you know.. “milk!”
Save me the trouble and tell me: what is up with this duo? I first heard of Courtney and then found this vid
I know it's Malibu but does anyone know the exact location where this was filmed?
Does anyone know why the the original video was taken down?
It was made private.
Wow
28:00 on script
32:00 life like this
37:20 depreston
Wondering why Courtney's hand is blurred..I'm interested to see all the musicians playing

Love Continental Breakfast
why in the hell was the OG taken down??
Are you having any plans to come to Germany in the near future?
La forma en cómo cantan Untogether podría ser sin problema la última canción que escucharía en mi vida
Where did they record these songs?
32:32 Best Life Like This version!
Correct!
Big band
A woman named Courtney together with a man named Kurt!
What can go wrong?
where is the bass player?!
Oh no, poor audio quality?
Yeah, the original sounded way better.
rewela
Is there no bassist?
There is a bassist. He happens to play a Fender bass VI that can be mistaken for a Guitar for having six strings.
You can hear the bass clearly, amigo. Francesco is right, it's a six-string Fender Bass VI.
Nice Belly cover to end the set
Two freak voice get a long
I feel like if these two gender swapped, it would sound exactly the same.
Does anyone have the original video of this? The audio quality in this one is lacking. Someone out there must have saved the original no?
@guiΩ maybe?
Infravalorado.
where is this beach ??
