- This is a how to for the cheap chronographs for airguns on Amazon and eBay. I multiply by 3.28084 to convert to fps in my spreadsheet. Example of spreadsheet and instructions from Amazon page at end of video.

Your vid is what made me decide to purchase this, mine reads in fps as well as mps. Clocked my aea challenger. 9mm at 1,235 fps ! Great tool works everytime
Thank you for a brilliant review. I just ordered one of these not knowing exactly what it can do but now I know. I'm hoping it will work with 50 calibre paintballs and similar ammo.
Thanks for the info, I've ordered one and waiting for it to arrive, what a faff though to change anything as it can't remember it, I think il shoot my strings in default mode with a pen and notepad to record as I go, then one I've figured the average can then convert to fps and calculate ftlbs with online tool or chairgun. Probably a more enjoyable experience that way. The bonus is also you get an ongoing logbook to look back over and see how different pellets or alterations to the gun compared etc. A book for each gun would be a good way.

What weight pellet does it go up to as .22 start at 13.2g so it must only go up to 9.9g as there’s only input for two digits

to convert meters per second to feet per second you need to multiply the m/ s by 3.281
So, over all. Are you happy with the unit, and would you purchase this unit again?
When you get to PS press the button it will switch tho FPS

The set up is a pain, I think I'll do the whole thing on a spreadsheet from the pellet speed.
Just got mine, it does display FPS, you have to select it on power up, default is MPS.
How do you change the ms to feet?
@@garethkirkwood7961 on mine when it powers up press the button again quickly and it goes into the set up menu, keep pressing the button until it displays PS, then press it once more and it displays FPS. don't press the button anymore and it's ready to read in FPS.
@@farcticox1409 I've ordered what looks exactly like this off eBay and will be very happy if it can read in fps. Will have to wait n see.

Good video but your shooting range is very dangerous. You can't see if someone walks into your pellet path.
