I guarantee I can wiggle faster than you can pump.....its all about technique. With a Meraki, or similar swing pivot system try this, once you are moving, close in your foot stance fairly narrow but still comfortable, crouch a little, and lock in your lower body. Now, instead of pumping, just powerfully rotate your lower body thinking of your feet being planted and all you're doing is rotating your lower body clockwise and counter clockwise as fast and powerful as you can, while remaining smooth and in control. The idea is to have as little truck turning/steering as possible while transfering the rotating force into forward momentum. You should not be leaning at all, nor should your trucks be leaning. You are only engaging the swing pivot motion to pull you forward. Also, your front foot is not swinging the front, your rotating lower torso in a locked position with a locked front and rear foot stance is.The less turning/leaning and more straighter forward you go the faster your speed will be. This is by far the most efficient way to quickly generate speed on a surfskate.
If a surfskate feels way too wobbly on your feet learn how to cruise on a regular longboard or walmart skateboard until it feels comfortable to you. Ive fallen a few times trying to figure out how deep i can carve on my Carver CX board , i had the same thing happen to me when i was having fun on a normal longboard.
Not a full effort with your wiggle, but full power and good technic with your pumping.
the wiggle really isn't a proper technique.
I think that’s what he’s demonstrating.
Definitely more speed with the pump but for less effort and just cruising I'll take the wiggle 🙂
Look at how much fun bro is having tho 😂😂😂😂😂
Omg randomly found this video and this song is nostalgic!

Cheers, done similar myself I think
Thanks Mako!
that’s an insane pump
great consumer info!
Off topic but I just paired up your black-chrome bearings with some new 65mm wheels and I am very happy with the performance. Amazing value to boot.
@@emblems4life726 ayyy! Thank you haha real value is what we do
I wiggle until I max out and then I pump just few times
But when I’m skating I just push off and head downhill
😁
I sometimes do the same 😜
Wiggle are way faster and efficient to gain speed 🤪
I think I am faster with wiggle on Carver CX but it could be different for YOW or more surf oriented surfskates.
What board is that?
That’s our signature board and we sell them in Indonesia 🇮🇩
What board do you have?
surfskate
@@Clipssomebut what specific type is it
hey there - I'm using the Mako board which we sell in Indonesia :)
You can read about it here: makosurfskate.com/surfskates/
Even if the wiggle was is slightly faster, who cares? It looks wank, and pushing is way faster and lower effort.
Im scared to push and stand what do i do?
😡
buy a bicycle

@@Tony-bo3rwthanks I got up later that day anyways just nervous lol I can pump now thanks for advice tho
@@ClipssomeI was asking a question and I didn't need your crappy opinion
Wiggles are for kooks and posers. It will slow your ability to bottom turn and top turn.
