Great start! He synthesised his findings and asserted his next hypothesis. I would have expected the candidate to have started with aligging and defining on: what is newsfeed, timeframe of change and engagement. Even better if we can see an issue tree. Great job Damien!
Hi, great video - just a little confusion in the beginning that the interviewer clarified that the change was only observed in insta feed not with stories. But in the root cause analysis, the interviewer said that stories were affected.
With due respect to the efforts of the mock interviewer and the interviewee, this is NOT how you handle an analytical question of this kind. In my 10 years of interviewing PM candidates, I have rejected multiple candidates who have taken this approach, which candidly, amounts to playing a game of twenty questions. The reason why this is problematic is also well explained by Dianna Yau in this video here, and it also offers a different approach: th-cam.com/video/lgtcCBGZgcE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=DiannaYau

Thanks Chithra, great to know that our videos helped you. Please do let us know how you get on!
Very Confusing stories vs feeds as external factors
shouldn't the interviewee also suggest actions to take to resolve the issue?
