Jay, you grilled Eshan pretty hard! But I learned a lot from Eshan's thinking process and approach!! Thank you both!
Clarifying questions are a must for product type interviews, but Eshan asked wayyyy too many. I think a better way is to list out potential factors and then ask the interviewer to narrow down which issue it could be.

i felt confused for the metric discussed in the video: is it just the friend requests being sent or is it the friend requests being sent and accepted. I see an inconsistent discussion here
Great video! I watched it and maybe I missed something, but I didn't notice any discussion about search algorithms that might impact how people find their friends. Has there been a change recently that could explain a 10% drop?
Is there a gradual drop in new users registration over a year? Any new user needs friends to interact with. That means more friends request sent == more requests accepted.
