- This is a full review of the Panasonic Eneloop AA & AAA smart battery charger (BQ-CC55), I've done some tests to see if the charger actually has overcharge protection (which it does) hope you enjoy.

Nice video. Bought this today. Eneloop battery charges fine. But my Sony battery like the one you used, not charging and blinking red. But it works fine and charges fine on other chargers.

What kind of outlet strip is that? I just ordered the advanced charger you are discussing but it looks like it has round prongs ?
I can see many review as battery get heated high while charging are you facing those issues?
I have this charger, the batteries get heated too much while charging. I am now using NITECORE charger, which is the best. Nitecore is little bulky but is best in performance.
That is so cool I had no idea the charger was so advanced. I am going to buy the charger with 4 AA batteries already supplied but I was thinking I would have to make on them which ones came together as if I bought more AA batteries I would not be able to tell which were older and run the risk of mixing differently charged and aged batteries. This has set my mind at ease and now I can just buy as many AA and AAA Panasonic Eneloop batteries as I want and the charger will even tell me when the battery life is dead and needs to be replaced. Thank you I feel well informed and have peace of mind. 🙏

Hi bro I had the same problem so I searched for a charger that uses USB input and I found one that has a cut of and can charge 1 cell up to 4 cells at the same time it's the zmi battery charger the company is for the xiaomi company and its a very good product I think you will like it try it out

The lights turn off when the batteries are fully charged. You can remove the batteries when the lights turn green, they are almost fully charged by then. I hope this helps.

AAA eneloop batteries fall out of my Panasonic BQ-CC55 charger. I watched Tech Charlie maintain his charger ib the lying down position in the clip. I tried that...the batteries do not fall out if I keep it in that position but they do not charge either. What am I doing wrong???
Hey, Laura, the batteries should not fall out even if you have the charger upside down, I guess the clips at the bottom that hold the batteries in place are bent or something, you might have to pry those out gently until the batteries stay in their place without falling out.

The batteries get hot to touch, but that is normal. I would not worry about it, a year later this charger is still working great.

After quite sometime of use my eneloop rechargeable batteries were acting weird. Blinking yellow or red.
How old are the eneloop batteries? when the LED blinks yellow or red, that means its time for new batteries.

No, it does not. This charger is charges Ni-Mh batteries only!

Nope! Only Ni-Mh AA and AAA batteries.

Of course, it will charge any brand Ni-MH battery.

@@TechGuyCharlie can you confirm? There are mixed reviews on Amazon. Technically any battery should work unless they are developing tech to somehow make competitor's batteries incompatible.
You can use any brand chargeable batteries in this ?
Yes, you can! I've used Varta, Sony and Amazon Basics without any issues.
@TechGuyCharlie, does this mean we can also use duracell batteries?
Yes, you can. I have been using Duracell batteries and haven't faced any problems.
I personally prefer chargers that plug into the wall, I hate the USB crap. I will be getting this for xbox controllers.
Actually it tops off for an hour AFTER the led turns off :) However most people consider the battery fully charged when the led is off anyway.
