I pretty much only use Eneloops (or Fujitsu which are the same) these days. Excellent batteries. I've had mine for over 5 years and they still perform like new.
That is one of the most useful videos i have seen regarding rechargeable batteries! I never thought about the multi cell adapters! I thought the single cell adapters, well, suck. I've been researching rechargeable d cells for some time now, and i think what you showed us is perfect! Thank you
My experiences exactly. Duracell and Rayovac rechargeables have treated me well. I'm doing a showdown between Duracell and She look right now. My Energizers are annoying somebody in heaven now.
Hey thank you so much for this video Mr. greg. I didn’t know these AA adapters existed. I will now check for some good adapters in india. This review is so simple and effective. Cheers to u. Thanks again. This was very helpful. And yes, i have now subscribed tour channel. 😊
Hi Greg, thanks for posting the great informative video. I've been searching for good chargers that shows the data while charging, I was curious to see what charger you are using. I've looked and came across OPUS chargers that seem pretty good and similar to the charger you had in the video.
Don't leave your alkaline batteries in any device if its not in use..my new condition Maglite had 2 batteries explode and got stuck.. took 2 hours to clear them out.
Never had my maglite corroded, I use energizer 2d even yes duracell 2d. My maglite 2d never got a single leak even my 2AA maglite. Im guess I got luckY? I dont understand what why ya explode battery when I never got mine explodded!!!
i agreed totally, Eneloop by far the most reliable and long lasting. You found nicest adapter i ever seen. Eneloop Pro also sold under Ikea Ladda brand and still made in Japan label on them. La Crosse is one of charger i still rely on, my Maha both charger and batteries quit long time ago, they were made in Taiwan, over rated.
Eneloops are really the best. They claim to hold their charge for up to 10 years now, I just buy them and store them to use for later if I ever needed them. A few things, they got 4AAA to C adapters, that's about 3,000mAh (750mAh per Eneloop AAA). There is also some actual C and D NiMH batteries but they are very costly. Would be ideal for Panasonic to make some of these batteries as they would last much longer than the competition. Bought some Sunlabz D cells but they don't last a very long time. Going to try the Opec and Tenergy cells next but I don't use D cells often (only have some Maglites). Also the Power Ex C9000 charger is really good and you can check the internal resistance of those cells. When the IR gets too high they wont hold or maintain their charge.
October 23, 2019. Be cautious with this product... the AA batteries are NOT the same height (length) as standard "C" sized batteries - these ENELOOP AA batteries are longer by just a shade over 1 mm. That may not sound like much if your device only uses one AA battery, but if you use the C-sized adapters and use four of these AA batteries in a flashlight, like I did, that 1 mm+ difference adds up. I used these AA batteries and the C-sized adapters in my Duracell, 1300 lumen, LED flashlight. I realized, immediately, when screwing down the end cap that it wasn't screwing down to its usually stopping point. After using the flashlight and needing to recharge the batteries (which didn't take long - even using an LED device), I removed them and noticed right away that the positive end dimpled the negative end! So, of course, the batteries are too long for this application (at least 4 mm too long!). Well, stupid me, instead of returning the whole ENELOOP set to Costco, I kept using them, being cautious when installing them in the same flashlight. Well, about a month ago, I installed them and turned on the flashlight. The center LED lit up extra bright then failed. The surrounding ring of three LEDs still light up, but I am guessing the center contact (down inside the flashlight) was broken by the positive side of the battery. I just tried pasting a picture in this comment and it didn't work. 20191023 - I just checked Costco.com for this ENELOOP rechargeable battery set and it is not available.
I bought eneloop for my xbox one s controller 🎮 almost a month now and it still not running low 🤷🏿♀️ the best part is it was already charged fully 🙈 a friend bought ps4 controller and he has to charge almost every two days. Eneloop for xbox 1s pad superb 🤭
I already have various brands of rechargeable AA batteries that work fine, can I put other brands of AA rechargeable‘s or alkaline in the Eneloop adapter specifically the D cell adapter?
Hi Greg! I just want to ask how you ended up choosing ENELOOP batteries? what others brands have you tried already? by any chance have you tried other brands like ikea "LADDA" or " EBL" or "AMAZON BASICS" ? any thoughts?and what brand is that battery charger?and those adaptors? Thank a lot!
Iver Jones In the time since I made this video I have picked up some LADDA batteries from IKEA and they seem to be the same as Eneloop Pro batteries (with a great price). I’m told that there’s only one factory in Japan which makes all of these low-self-discharge batteries so, supposedly, if they say Made in Japan you’ll get the same thing no matter what name is printed on the battery. I also bought some Amazon Basics batteries when they were clearly labeled as Made in Japan, but now it’s not clear whether the Amazon Basics are made in Japan or China.
There were some rechargeable AA batteries at IKEA (the color is kind of a tan hue rather than white) which cost a bit less but they also don’t provide as much power because they are designed for low-power devices like solar rechargeable yard lights.
@@GoodTimekeeper Ah Yeah...I'm planning to get the White one, I think that tan one is not available anymore, atleast here in Dubai...Again Thank you! ;)
My Eneloops pay for them selves over and over and over.. I use a head lamp alot. If I had to replace with regular batteries it would cost about me about $30 dollars a week.
Hi Greg ! Many thanks for this very helpful video. Where did you find the 3 AAs adapter to D format ? I am currently unable to find them on Amazon, for instance. I find the 2 AAs model, not the 3 AAs one. Many thanks in advance.
I just did a showdown. 2 identical devices with 1 aaa Duracell each ( 3 years old ) 2 identical devices with 1 aaa and look pro each ( brand new) . The Duracells lasted 7 hours. The eneloop pros lasted 8 hours. . Eneloop pros aren't worth the price.

Hello Greg, can you please tell me if you can use four AA batteries to make up a D cell equivalent battery ???? Thanks fella too.
I already have various brands of rechargeable AA batteries that work fine, can I put other brands of AA rechargeable‘s or alkaline in the Eneloop adapter specifically the D cell adapter?
Are IKEA Ladda and AmazonBasics really Panasonic Eneloop batteries.
Can you link where you got or what the name is of your adapters?
I am making the transition to rechargeable, do you have any problems with leakage if left in devices for long periods of time?

Step up to the black Panasonic Eneloop Pro.
Or buy the exact same battery from Ikea - the LADDA 2450 for $6.99 for four. Exact same.
I just did a showdown.
