    Had mine for 7 months now. Use mostly for large diameter wood. 3-4 ft. Has worked wonderful. Only problem so far is one of clutch springs broke. A few dollars for 3 OEM parts and I’m back in business.

    They have great customer service,the first one I bought leaked fuel very slightly from the tank took a pic sent it to them they sent me a brand new power head let's see Stihl do that and they said for my trouble keep the first one for a spare awesome customer care not sorry you bought a 1500 saw and we can't help ya ! I run a 36 in on one and the 24 on the others good saw for your hard earned money 💰💰

    GREAT VIDEO !

  • @blackseabrew
    @blackseabrew ปีที่แล้ว

    Just received y NeoTec 892. I haven't fired it up yet. Everything seems solid except for the carb adjustment screws. In the videos I've watched they said the factory settings for the carb were most likely out of whack. No problem just screw them in and turn them back out 1.5 turns. But the Low side screw doesn't seem to bottom out. I'm scared of putting too much pressure. I guess I will find out when I start it.
    Also had to grind the inside saw dog to clear the flash on the casing. Again no big deal.
    As for the casting I removed the muffler to check the quality of the casting and found the exhaust port very smooth. No casting flash or leftover sand. It's a good quality casting from the exhaust angle.

    If neotec starts making clone to the Husqvarnas like farmertec does then I'll probably get one lol especially if it's the clone to the the 390 if I want a bigger saw really don't mine cuts everything I put to it even a 40 in live oak I did couple years back that was over 150 years old

  • @exoticcreature3059
    @exoticcreature3059 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have seen the Neotec name but I never knew anything about them. I never would have guessed they're Stihl clones just like Holzfforma chainsaws. Because my brother already has a Holzfforma G660 it wouldn't make sense for me to get this saw if it's the same power head. But, if Neotec clones the Stihl MS 880 then I'll be right on it!

    • @rickyflinchum2909
      @rickyflinchum2909 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Farmertec makes a stihl 880 clone kit. The kits cost a bit more than the 660 clone kit though.

    • @exoticcreature3059
      @exoticcreature3059 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickyflinchum2909 Yes, the G888. I've seen it. My only gripe is the IF I were to order a kit complete with the chain and guide bar, the selection is not very diverse. Last I checked only two guide bar lengths were available. If I want something different then I have to look elsewhere.

  • @wage4598
    @wage4598 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's an ABS construction as opposed to nylon so it will just degrade and fall apart at some point. Gas and oil cap quality is so bad that I would expect to be replacing them often as hell, and these lose compression after about a year or two at best. These also do not have more power than a 500i.

  • @rebeccarobinson7024
    @rebeccarobinson7024 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Of course going be more power than 500i 79.8cc and the 660 is 93ish cc and I can get the sthil 661 for $1050 from my dealer there's only was a $50 difference between the 661 and 461 when they had the 461

    • @backwoodscountry6040
      @backwoodscountry6040  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I know the 660 has more cc. But it was more a price to power comparison. Although I do think still makes a great chainsaw. I think Echo is also a great saw but very underrated.

  • @3vil3lvis
    @3vil3lvis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How do you store it? Most of the chainsaw cases I've seen are too small.

    • @backwoodscountry6040
      @backwoodscountry6040  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure what you mean if you’re talking about for the winter I use echo red armor two stroke oil and leave it full of gas. Usually my chainsaws don’t sit long enough to gum up. And I usually just keep them in the garage. That one will stay on my Yamaha rhino. Does that answer your question?

    A couple comments. You stated that it could probably be used as a commercial saw. Most guy I know cutting with a saw this large are indeed in the business, or cutting a lot. You’re giving a one month review. How about coming back in six months and again a year and giving your assessment? Most products will likely last a month. Most serious cutters are in it for the long haul.

      Well I’ve had it for over six months now and is still running strong. And it seems to be a pretty good saw. I think it’s aimed more towards the weekend warrior though. A commercial guy is always going to be better off with the real thing. I do have a STIHL 500
