Good video, I appreciate the setup review. That initial run at high for 45 minutes is also good for sanitizing the grill of biological materials. Any bacteria, mold, or even viruses that may have come in contact are neutralized.
I am going thru the burn in on mine as I write this. Hopefully all goes well!
I have a Davy Crockett that is 3-4 years old that is great, but it is much bigger and much heavier for only adding 17 sq in of grill space. Anyway, I have two homes and will keep one at each along with my multiple Webers, Auto Kamado, and a few Q’s(Napoleon and Weber).

Can you give me the outside dimensions of this?
On the initial burn off, I put the grill on high and went inside for 45 minutes. When I came back out, the grill was off with a high temperature error code. Instructions say to run on high for 45 mins 🤷♀️
Wow can’t believe that happened on the first try. Did you turn it off and try again?
@@BeginnersBBQ I did 👍 Not sure what the issue was. Initially, maybe there was a little too much direct sunlight hitting the grill (I read that could cause high temp error) or either I had the pellet hopper to full. I scooped some of the pellets out until they were just barely above the grate and went through the process again without any hiccups, thankfully 😀

Yeah I have realized that even though most hoppers advertise a certain Lb amount,it's best to not come close to that otherwise I have gotten ERROR codes on my pellet smoker grills (past one and current one) I have the Cuisinart Oakmont pellet smoker/grill now.
What happened to your Cecarol portable grill? Can you do a comparison of the two grills?
I gave it to my brother. Once I got the z grill and notice how solid this grill was made, I figure I keep this one. Also the z grill is cheaper than Cecarol. You can tell the quality of the z grill is better.
@@BeginnersBBQ interesting. Ok. FWIW the Cecarol is only $200 or so now. ZGrills 200A shows $329. Not looking to spend $300+ on a camp grill.
@@mikefrazier1760 they must of lower there price. When I did the Cecarol video they where at $300. Z grill has sales every month it will get lower on Black Friday. But I hear you on not wanting to spent 300 on a small grill.
