People forget how Wonderboy outclassed and kinda made Masvidal look like a fool 2 fights ago dropping him with a body kick etc. Wonderboy can still win against most of these cats
Plus he also took out Rory MacDonald and starched Johny Hendricks back when he was still scary. Not to mention the draw against Woodley, guy couldn't have been closer to becoming champ.

Why hasn't someone hired Wonderboy to work for TV ? He has a good personality, a lot of charisma and he's very articulated to speak in front of a camera, everything needed to host some kind of TV show or even being part of UFC's broadcast team, especially since he's a long time striking specialist and he must have a lot of fighting knowledge

Fantastic. Notice how the heel turns almost 180°. That's the Key to the rotation. As you bring your knee high and chamber your leg to fake the front kick or the leg kick, you lightly lift your heel and turn your foot, then the hips are put in a position completely sideways, if not slightly with the back turned, to the opponent. Then you just *open* the chamber. Stretch that kicking leg and boom. Stephen said It better at 0:51 *LIGHTS OUT*

awesome. Great technique. The importance of the foot of the supporting leg turning/pivoting, is really the key to nearly all kicks. Without that, your hips can't do what the need to do.
I've thrown my rear-leg roundhouse kicks like that for about 20 years. I always found I got more "pop" out of it with the sudden torquing of the hips at the end. Plus, it brings the knee up in front to keep people from rushing you when you pick the leg up. Also, you are right about not throwing "full power". Best to focus on speed. Force=mass x acceleration.
Lol, I`ve been doing it since I was 10 years old, You guys called it the Brazil kick, but here in Brazil we called it the Liu Kang kick. LK did in MK3 as a combo. Thanks for teaching the technique
I like to throw this one in sparring, a different one you can do ehich is with less power but very rare and nice to throw is connecting with that frontkick and then pivotting to deliver the roundhousekick with the same foot.

Exactly. I see very few fighters do this correctly. Proper alignment is the true secret to kicking power. Even Wonderboy in this video is not turning his hips completely over.

Look up Lerdsila and saenchai, great practitioners of that kick, they have dozens and dozens of KOs using it.
