  • I don't even know what to say about this one. I'm just flabbergasted. This is a $700,000 pot where neither player can beat 9-high. This one comes from a high stakes poker cash game on the Triton high roller series in Madrid. In unrelated news, I'm taking a spontaneous vacation to the next Triton series. See you guys when I get back.

Your analysis is pretty solid. But, you fail to acknowledge one serious factor of a live game; table dynamics. At this point, this game was pure "Street poker". You have Tony G on lockdown with a w, the five seat playing tight, and Tom Dwan splashing around with rotating rich action players. Phua in the game speaks for itself, and Rui was playing like an absolute man possessed. I think Tom picked a good spot (all things considered), Rui was just going insane by this point

They didn't practice the hidden art of having a pair or a draw 🎉 😂

Sik thing is rui had a seven too in his hand making it less likely he was up against 72 and he still made that move😅😅😅🤣🤣

For all comments stating Rui knows Dwan has 7.2... my response is: then why does he shove the river when he can check back and win with 8-high?
And it wasn't to keep from showing his hand or disclosing his strategy, because he tables the hand.

This hand was honestly more crazy than the Robbie hand

I thought that too. Guy was calling off hundreds of thousands of dollars and then risking the remaining 240k on a river shove with 8 high? Sketchy or just dumb

Rui is a known maniac. They were telling stories about him at the table. Tom is usually much more passive in these games, even with big hands, which makes the raise on the flop suspect. Need to know their history. Or you can go simple mind and think everything is a conspiracy.

@@Gorgula nah im pretty sure he means, this is more of a conspiracy candidate than the robbie hand, while believing than neither of them is truly.
Its just that the internet is way too convinced about he robbi hand being cheating without a single piece of evidence to back it up and for 3 times less money
