Hello. I have a 1984 F150 Auto 2wd as well. This seems like a good option. I am a bit unclear on the following and am hoping you can help: 1. The only reason you noted not to remove the orig flat circuitry was to identify the Fuel Wire (do you recall which one it was). Is this correct? It seemed like you were also leaving it for blinkers and such. The problem I have is that that whole flat circuitry section looks like linguini and none of the gauges work. Does this new unit plug into the wiring harness completely OR partially OR not at all?
All of your blinker circuitry stays intact. If you find the wire going to the original gas gauge that is the sending unit wire. I if I remember correctly several of the gauges used a common ground or a common power, can’t remember off the top of my head. But it’s obvious if you look at the circuitry on the back. You can run wires straight from the gauges to the sending unit. I just utilize the wire to the fuel sending unit in the harness because it was convenient.
@@unpopulartruths4531 Hello. Have the Dash for a 1984 Ford F150, 302, 2wd Auto. The Water Temp the sensor Intellitronix requires has two wires (Blue & Black w/ blue). The digital dash only has one (blue). If the sensor grounds through the threads, as stated in the instructions (and that's all it states) am I also supposed to ground with one of those sensor wires? If so, which (assume blk w/ blu so the plain Blue would match the dash plain blue). Please advise. Thank you.
Bad advice on fuel dip switch settings. I had to pull lens back off and change dip switch to get fuel gauge to read correctly. Wish you had said nothing about changing it because it shipped with correct setting.
@@ClassicAutoRepair I appreciate this comment as I am getting ready to do mine. So basically we don’t have to mess with the fuel gauge it already comes ready to plug and play for the fuel gauge? I appreciate any help!
Can you recall what color was the wire you cut and used for the fuel ?
I wish I could get one for my 1980 331 stroker Bronco!
Does it dim?
no
Yes

Nice bullnose and I thought about putting that in my 82 f150 and how’s the gauges and the speedometer and the sensor that goes in the transmission.
all the gauges seem accurate and work well
Ok that’s good. And the gauges look’s good by the way

Excuse me for not knowing which sending unit YOUR vehicle uses. I should have known.
@@unpopulartruths4531 then you should indicate that’s a setting when it’s not. You’re not the expert you think you are.

Hooked it all up and it didn’t turn on plus the hazards won’t stop flashing even when it’s switched off
And could you make a video showing off the dash
Update on it?
Works great, no issues. The more I get used to it the more I like looking at it it’s a wonderful dashboard
how bright is it at night
Mine is the blue one and it is nice, not too much but easy to see.
