Oh man, so the smoked plastic goes behind the plastic part you cut up then the lens goes over it like it did when you took it apart. It's not bull crop lol. That lens assy needs to be thrown away. If you wanted this to look great you should have bought a new lens and a new bezel. The hoarding comment cracked me up.

I would seal the lens to the Bezel with the hot glue to keep dust out.

not yet, waiting on door panels for that truck to do the interior. They’ve been back ordered for 6 months
