Outstanding!! The instructions that came with the cluster did not help at all. I found your video. Simple and easy. Wire description were perfect. Thank you.
My sending unit wire along the chassis must have a short, so I ran another wire straight to the fuel gauge , it now works, however my temp and oil pressure gauge are affected. Can I disconnect the old gas gauge wire from the big wiring plug behind dash cluster ?
I’m not sure I’m completely following you, but the fuel should have no bearing on temp and oil. The only thing they have in common is a ground. I’d check your ground. Yes, you can disconnect gas gauge from wiring harness
Did your original dash have gauges for oil and temp, or just lights? The wiring diagram I shared will only work with an original dad that is WITHOUT gauges, meaning it HAS LIGHTS
@@FRestoMod Original sending unit would not work so I replaced it, still would not work with the existing wires. I have a ground wire from the sending unit, then I ran a separate wire from the sending unit to the fuel gauge . Also a wire from the other fuel gauge terminal to a hot fuse. The fuel gauge then read accurately but also the temp gauge and the oil pressure gauges both read high. Later I realized I didn't need to run that hot wire, took that loose and relied on the plug that goes into the cluster to carry the current, but now I don't have any reading on the fuel gauge.
Sorry man, just saw this. There are actually 3 wires going to the speed sensor. The red goes to switched power. I’m sure you’ve already figured it out at this point.

Awesome video, this helps a lot!
Depending on the specific gauge you have, check the description I have the wiring worked out for you.. good luck!
Have these gauges held up well since this video? Or have you had problems?
I ended up selling that truck about 1.5 years later… they were still working when I sold it.
My fuel gauge goes up and down its not steady got mine installed any tips plz
Do you have a picture ot video of how you wired them.? I have the same 14 pin connector
I don’t really understand your question. This is a video of how I wired them, if you look in the comments, I’ve listed the wire connections.
So if i have a full tank of gas. What do i set it to.?
Yeah...I doant know if I could attempt to do this ...just so many wires

Adding to the other message yes this gauge panel is the original from the 77 it has oil pressure, temperature, fuel, and amp gauges.
@@trig5010 in that case, you can’t use the wiring diagram I shared. That’s only for WITHOUT gauges. The wire coding is totally different.
So the red one goes connected with the seed sensor?

What transmission you have ?? C6
What transmission you have ?? C6??
No, it's a green dot C4 transmission.
