No much to say except keep up that positive attitude you have. Recently got my 72 C10 back after being down for 20 months as had a ton of work done. Got it home and needed a wheel alignment before could start driving and had to wait 3 weeks for the alignment. Still dealing with some electrical demons too.
Damn, that sucks, it will be ok time will fly by, and before you know it they will be ready to look at the truck! And it will give you some time to do stuff to it or get things ready for your fleet!! The truck has a good foundation you just need to do the fine details!!
One thing I’ve always done with my valve covers is use some that copper gasket spray an glue the gasket to the valve cover just on the valve cover side just to make sure it stays in place and doesn’t do what they had going on cause them gaskets can an will move an if your not paying attention u get what u had
Almost forgot! I've been meaning to thank you for getting a shot of my truck while you were shooting video of Rich Hopkin's 66' c10. That's my blue and silver OBS Sierra driving in the background at about 3:30 into the video 😁
Really nice looking truck and I like the long-tube headers. I have a 1993 Silverado that right after I bought it I found that the distributor was never tightened (just flopping around loose). If there is a story here maybe that due to the age of these trucks all of them are a work-in-progress to some point or another.
Keep the motor, tidy the engine bay, fix the trans, posi the rear end. Keep the side moulding, put the Chevrolet panel on the back, and put rear bumper back on it. Saw you on United by Trucks. Subscribed. Good luck with the build.
Are the intake bolts too short? Possibly longer ones may help. Hopefully you don't have to Heli Coil the heads. It's very frustrating fixing peoples crappy work. Work like that is caused from not taking pride in their work. I always use stud/nut kit on small Chevy perimeter bolt valve covers. It holds the gaskets in place while putting on the covers. I silicone the gasket to the valve cover but do not silicone it to the head. Cork is awesome dry and it's what I use. I've been building and racing small blocks over 30 years. The trans shop is correct on not driving it. If the TV cable is not hooked up correctly, it will burn the transmission up very quickly. I wish I lived closer, I'd love to come help wrench on it. I do take lots of pride in my work. Lol
Thanks for the tips! I'm not sure of the bolt length yet. I'll be honest, when I found out they were stripped I gave up for the day. 🤣 I will be checking to see if those threads are slavagable or if they need to be repaired once I pull the motor. Too many other things to focus on right now. lol
I hate you're finding all these problems. I definitely know how that can go when you're excited about a new to you truck. I won't rant here but I can feel your pain, sir. I know you'll bring it up to standards though!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I AGREE WITH YOU 100%. TIME IS OUR MOST VALUABLE COMMODITY. I TRY NOT TO WASTE IT. BUT I AM A WORK IN PROGRESS MYSELF. I JUST DO MY BEST TO SHOW UP EACH DAY AND PERFORM MY BEST. GREAT VIDEO AND EDUCATION. THANKS FOR SHARING!!! I LEARNED SO MUCH.
The motor is solid! It’s a brand new blueprint 350 with Edelbrock multi port fuel injection. It’s the trans that’s giving me some issues now but I think we can work through it.
I’m dying to start on this one!! Stopped by the paint shop the other day and have been getting parts. I planned this west coast trip with the dually which has taken up a lot of time and the c10 just collapsed a lifter in the LS1 so now I have to fix that. 🤦♂️
Josh, I hate that you got Shafted (SCREWED)......BUT....... look on the bright side IF there is one she looks good...BUT that could be just a TURD under the paint? You just can't trust no one these days. That's why I've alway's trusted JUST myself, and sometimes HELL you can't trust your own self. (I've never been wrong in my life).....JUST make mistakes....HA HA HA...Take care Buddy & I'll keep Watching.....✌Bro 👍👍👍"s up on this video.....Just remember Your never Wrong you just make mistakes.....
Thanks man!! I knew I was getting into a big project when I got it and was going to have to do a lot to the truck I just didn't realize how deep into I had to go. I guess we're going all the way!!
Man it’s tough to toss a brand new blueprint 350 with edelbrock multi port efi. It runs so good!! I think once the transmission issues are addressed it will rip.

Sorry to hear man. I hope you get it all sorted out and get to cruising soon. I keep telling myself it will be worth it when it's done.

Nice man! That show was so big it’s hard to see everything but glad I caught it driving around.
Looks like we have some of the same issues. Trans leak, engine leak, and I also have a steering box leak, but I love these old trucks!!!
Yes sir! I love ‘em too. I can’t wait to start driving mine and seeing if there are any other major issues.
Your truck sounds alot like mine but add coolant leak as well LOL
Great work and glad your making this as nice as it appeared in photos.

5.3 or 6.0 &4l80e for the win. You'll not have to worry about that for many many years. Plus it'll raise the resale value if you wanna sell it.

keep ya head up! That truck is worth dialing in.
Thanks man! I think it’s a diamond in the rough. 😎

Definitely some shady tree mechanic situation going on. Once you get her all straightened out she gonna be good as new!!
SUBSCRIBED your awesome man I’m sure this was not the best day but definitely can’t wait to see what happens with this one!
Thanks man!! Hopefully I can get the truck sorted out and start driving it soon
I totally agree with lolife999 about the NBS master cylinder swap. I put one on my 93' Sierra. At least a 200% better brake pedal.
Hell yea man. I’m gonna look into this!
At least your heads are not total you can put time Certs in the heads to put new threads in😊👍🏼🤙🏽
That's the plan! Hopefully the repair goes smoothly.

New subscriber. Can’t wait to see the rest of the rebuild. Love the channel. I have a 90 short bed and just did an LS 6.0 swap.
Thanks for the sub! I should be getting this one back soon. Still at the transmission shop.
LS SWAP IT! Ditch the boat anchor sbc and its headaches
The motor is solid! It’s a brand new blueprint 350 with Edelbrock multi port fuel injection. It’s the trans that’s giving me some issues now but I think we can work through it.
Yes because sbc wasn’t the go to for high performance builds from 1955 until 1999 or anything 🥴🤡
Just because an LS brings cheap and easy power doesn’t make the SBC bad
Love to see the dually pulling the Cookie Monster. Two sweet OBS trucks
That will be happening very soon. 🤘
Daaaang...those intake bolts are stripped. Looks like you get to pull the heads
Should be starting on this one next week. Hopefully I don’t have to pull the heads but we will see!
Project playboy lookin good.
Yea some shops just do not care
I think it will be an awesome truck when fixed
After watching this, intuition says the Nookie Monster is going to blown apart in no time!
You know it man! Goal it to have it painted this winter and 100% assembled for show season next year. Nookie Monster 😎😂
Sad to see that so much coverage was done on this truck and it’s a piss poor build in the important areas.
1:44 wow ive never seen that before 🤣
😂😂
That grill needs to be painted black.
Yep sort it out. Peace
We need more Cookie Monster content 🔥🔥

@@yeahbuddygarage fair enough. I feel it😂 trucks always got other plans! Love the content tho!!
Do the NBS master cylinder conversion from Little Shops MFG.
I just might have to do that. LSMFG makes some killer parts.
Is it this kit? www.littleshopmfg.com/gm-ck1500-master-cylinder-upgrade/
@@yeahbuddygarage yep. That’s it.
Hell yea. Thanks man! I’ll get that on order. I was going to do OG but this looks much better.
So long story short, in its current state the truck is a pretty turd 💩 lol
🤣🤣
Wow... trans probably burnt. I like the hydraulic lock up automatically in 3 and 4 with transgo kit. Forget that switch mess...
Hoping it’s salvageable 🤞We won’t know until they get the truck in August. Also, that switch is going in the trash. 🤣
@yeahbuddygarage that TV cable being that lose is not good... hopefully its salvageable!
That thing has some issues
It sure does. Hoping to get them all sorted out before a full repaint.
@yeahbuddygarage ready to tune in for more. Currently watching the UBT vid on the dually
Its easier if you swap and way faster and reliable much more
Them paint drips on the roll pan made me cringe.
Me too man!
Please please get rid of that blue grill.

Ls the damn truck
I watched this truck being built. Subscribed too the channel. I thought I was watching a channel I could find helpful. Not!!! Not this channel.
I hope this video series can be helpful! I’m covering everything from tear down to reassembly including doing the paint work. 🤘
Pull that engine & go LS
Man it’s tough to toss a brand new blueprint 350 with edelbrock multi port efi. It runs so good!! I think once the transmission issues are addressed it will rip.
