Thanks for reply. I wonder how and where I get the battery coded? what I do with battery code? Where I check the replay and what kind the relay you talking here? I brought the battery to Costco and they give me new battery...so How do I know this is the correct one? Thanks
So I hope you took in your old battery to Costco and they should have matched a new one to it. Idk how things work there because I know in Autozone or orielly they give you an exact match to your old one.
CHI LAY you are right on the new ones you need to reprogram the battery to the car but on the older 1/3 series it’s not necessary as long as you make sure you get the same battery.
this is the video. Look no further. trust no one else. I too, fried my FRM on a 2011 BMW 328i by fucking up the battery installation. Do you have any videos on the Diversity Antenna? I cant seem to find any info on that and I know that's my issue
So my X5 wouldn’t start & I called a neighbor for a jump but didn’t look up any videos on HOW to do it, the car started but all the gauges don’t. So THEN I started looking for fixes & I vaguely rmbr a vid you did with some ‘module’ that you had blown ... where is that video again?? I alrdy pulled the fuses for the OBC & tried to reset with no luck :( my navigation had alrdy been out so I was using the steering column for info, now I don’t even have a gas gauge
Alvarez jr3 thanks for pointing me to the video again good news is all my interior lights still work so hopefully I won’t have to replace that module after all... I messed with the fuses & had a hard time removing the #1 but 43 & 45 were easier unfortunately the reset didn’t work out for me.. maybe I should try it again .. ? I just replaced a wire ignition cable harness & a spark plug bc of a misfire p0302 code a week ago
UPDATE... I unhooked the battery & did a reset after getting a CODE - - - - when it was drained again today when I went to start, now all the gauges work AND the navigation came back 🙌👌
So once you take the battery out you can take it into an auto parts store and ask for a new one with the same specs. If not you can give them the vin number of your car and they will give you the correct one for you.

Same happened to me on my Z4. After a few days the alternator was fried and it stopped reading 14 volts
Do you have to register a new battery
You don’t have to but you should have it registered if you can.
Will autozone do the reset
No they don’t have the tools. But pep boys might.
I changed the battery alternator fuel pump and other shit it still don’t work I put the key and push the button it doesn’t un lock the wheel or turn on have any suggestions
LoOnEy TuNeZ LiFe could be the IBS sensor on the negative terminal. Or u might have a ground issue.
Have you tried the starter on your car?
Milliville starter is new but haven’t tryed the ground
Did you figure it out bro?
What was the issue?
Had the car standing all winter. Battery flat. Re-charged it. Now the car just 'clicks'
Could be the ground strap in the engine bay or back with the battery.
What could this be?
My BMW 328i was in the shop for almost three wks for the oil filter housing, alternator and starter. The mechanic told me I will be needing a new battery very soon. I figured if thats the case, then as soon as I turn off the car, There won't be enough juice to get it going again. Sure enough, thats just what happened. I'll be getting a new battery today and replacing it myself. Did you ever have to reset the on-board computer after your battery change? Thanks for the informative video by the way!
Baron Samedi you do no need to reset the on board computer if you get the exact spect battery. So if suggest just remove your battery at a oriley or Autozone take it in ask for that one and put in the new one.
Sometimes they’ll do it for you
@@lifeofmario9137 Sweet, thanks
Hey brother I own a BMW x1 it is not starting the starter is just making ticking noise even after I jump start it
Your starter went out bro
Or your batter could be dead
When was the last time you changed your battery?
You too!!! you have to register the battery even with the same specs as the old battery or it will get over charged as the computer will think still has the same old battery...that new battery will be trash in no time....
Well I’ve had the same battery ever since I did this video and haven’t had a issue and battery’s are supposed to be replaced every 2-3 years
where was the "reset the battery" part of the video ? or did you mean replace the battery?
What happens if you accidentally connect the ground before the power when reconnecting the battery?
Thanks man for video I have question , could you replace it without registration like you did in the video reply quick please?
Yes bro you can
That will shorten the life of your battery. The car needs to know how much charge to put back in. You got to register it. On one hand you think....its excellent engineering and the other you think....bmw have you by the balls.
If the new battery has the same specifications then you don’t need to register it
Bryan Bohon no you should be fine.
Where in the video did he register the battery? I've watched twice and didn't see anything. Thumbs down
Bro, can you fix locked iPhone?
No but Im sure you can find a place online send it to and they could unlock it
I put new battery and my car don’t start said something about OBS and don’t turn on
what that sign in your car i have the same in mein when i started the car
One of my tire pressure sensors broke so my car can’t tell me if a tire is low since all 4 need to be working. So that light is a warning
Hey what's up bro very good explanation? I need some help I have a 2007 335i coupe and need to replace my battery I just received a car data memory saver do I really to use this cause I really do want to F___k it up?
You can it will save your radio stations and Bluetooth and so on. Worst case scenario you’ll lose your data
I recently changed my battery....now while driving my speedometer music system gets off and suddenly on after sometimes while driving....I don't know what to do..plz help me out
Definitely what car do you have?
This happened to me too, Did u manage to fix it?
Joshua Trevill what car do you have?
Angel Alvarez 2007 bmw 328 xi
Joshua Trevilla thats strange it may be a fuse or you may need to get your battery registered to your car.
Where does the blue and red wire goes ?
Luv the Fit bro
Hell yea
What’s happen when put negative first ?
Frm module will be fried and car will enter limp mode. Cost of repair is 600+.
GOOD TIP ON NEGATIVE TERMINAL OFF FIRST THE POSITIVE AND REVERSE ON INSTALL.
my dumbass put the terminals on backwards now my bmw is getting no gas to the fuel pump it cranks but will not start. do you have any suggestions on what to do
Check the fuse box maybe you just popped a fuse or relay
Thanks for rhe details
Love your videos! Short and straight to the point. Just a request... I like working on my car with my son and would appreciate it if you can leave out the F bombs so that I can enjoy the videos with him. Would be great if you can. Thanks!
You’re right. I will work on that for sure. Thank you.
Yes. I agree. I almost went to a different video. Im a roofer and an old oil field worker so that word is used by me as an adjetive, noun, and vetb..but think your videos are excellent without it. Thanks for the time you take to explain everything. 👍
lol
Can you please reset your TPMS?
You want to see how to do it?
You need to RESET the ecu when a new battery is fitted.
With BMW the ecu adapts the charge as the battery ages, if the ecu isn't reset your new battery will die alot quicker!
So what about when u changed the battery and the light is still on?
my top wont go down now, after replacing the battery
You could use pliers to???????
Use pliers
Good video, and explained well! I just wanted to know, how much did the battery cost you?
I believe it was around 220.
So you install new battery
Ok got that
When is the reset part coming
Make you when you do a video on battery and reset
Please show that part too
Thanks for the info
4:35 my BMW battery caught on fire the plastic piece melted. I replaced the battery now there's no power I've been stranded for now 4days can't drive ut
What if the car cranks but does not start what then
What happens if you fuck up your car and what was it that you needed to do what i did was jump start my car nnow i have nothing
So you don't need to register the battery ?
No but if you can you should.
What happen if it already f... up? I chang battery and now could not start! even all the light are on
It could be a safety measure from your car. It probably needs the battery coded.
Or hopefully you blew a relay and not the frm module.
Make sure you got the correct battery also.
Idk how things work there because I know in Autozone or orielly they give you an exact match to your old one.
first the new BMW if you disconnect the battery your BMW will NEED REPROGRAMMING.or keep power with a jump box while you swap the battery.
CHI LAY you are right on the new ones you need to reprogram the battery to the car but on the older 1/3 series it’s not necessary as long as you make sure you get the same battery.
CHI LAY I got a cool video coming out tomorrow hope you subscribed bro
You just got a new subscriber bro good job
Thanks brother.
Good vibes bless up
this is the video. Look no further. trust no one else. I too, fried my FRM on a 2011 BMW 328i by fucking up the battery installation. Do you have any videos on the Diversity Antenna? I cant seem to find any info on that and I know that's my issue
Dude really appreciate your sharing !
The crazy part is I work at AutoZone I installed car batteries and they don't want me touching bmws like it s that hard
thanks great video
So my X5 wouldn’t start & I called a neighbor for a jump but didn’t look up any videos on HOW to do it, the car started but all the gauges don’t. So THEN I started looking for fixes & I vaguely rmbr a vid you did with some ‘module’ that you had blown ... where is that video again?? I alrdy pulled the fuses for the OBC & tried to reset with no luck :( my navigation had alrdy been out so I was using the steering column for info, now I don’t even have a gas gauge
It’s right here I remember when something like that happened to me it was awful. th-cam.com/video/h6AX_wbZ6TI/w-d-xo.html
If you have any other questions lmk
Alvarez jr3 thanks for pointing me to the video again good news is all my interior lights still work so hopefully I won’t have to replace that module after all... I messed with the fuses & had a hard time removing the #1 but 43 & 45 were easier unfortunately the reset didn’t work out for me.. maybe I should try it again .. ? I just replaced a wire ignition cable harness & a spark plug bc of a misfire p0302 code a week ago
UPDATE... I unhooked the battery & did a reset after getting a CODE - - - - when it was drained again today when I went to start, now all the gauges work AND the navigation came back 🙌👌
Stl Jnette that’s awesome I’m glad man. 💪🏼
Good info, thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
Eljan44 thanks man I hope I helped!
Awesome video. How do you know what battery specs to get?
So once you take the battery out you can take it into an auto parts store and ask for a new one with the same specs. If not you can give them the vin number of your car and they will give you the correct one for you.
Could I use tweezers
You forgot the battery has to be registered to the ECM if it is 2016 and newer. Don’t fuck it up bro !
I wish you were in Chicago to install the battery in my x3. It’s driving me crazy!
Tahira Shaikh i am in Chicago
Alvarez jr3 wow! Seriously? Can you help me? I have an x3 and I need it moving before the year is up 🙏🏽
Tahira Shaikh yes I can add me on Instagram so we can get in contact. @alvarezjr3
Hi, Good vid. Can you do one on how to run lightbar wiring harness from front of bmw e53 x5 to battery in rear? Thks
Radio fuse location?
I’m not sure
You took the battery out and re fitted it, the title mentioned re set ! What's a re set ?
Has to be "registered" to the car computer. Amazon sells that particular device , well worth the money,it's also a bmw scanner.
