Outstanding. And no hokey background music. Just straight forward, instruction and thank you for giving us the size of the sockets as well really helps..❤❤ Great, great video. Thank you.
I'm just watching this just for fun. Yeah I remember my uncle complaining about customers not understanding that his Autozone location doesn't work on BMW batteries. I think I'll just stick to my Honda Civic until BMW learns not to make their cars so complicated to fix
@Motorcarnut Oh bet, that's why I only recommend BMW's to either engineers, master mechanics, or billionaires. But society won't listen to me. So if they get screwed over, it ain't my problem 😎
@@motorcarnut thanks for your reply. I have done that. I unlock the car with remote. Then proceed to disconnecting the negative alarm 🚨 goes off regardless. Could it be a bad module. It started after a really cold start. I Acudent ku had my leg pressed on clutch it’s a habit. I didn’t let the ignition run for a bit. Since then it’s been on and off. When I start the car alarm 🚨 goes off not all the time. I notice it happens when I start car with out waiting for glow plugs to warm up. Sometimes even if the car has been running and warm. If I start it clutch down as I start the engine. It goes off. Hope that helps. And thanks 🙏 again
If you are just replacing an old weak battery with a fresh new one it will relearn. If the battery was left dead for a long period of time than it should be recoded to the vehicle.

Thank you very much for the feedback! Appreciated!
Very Informative video. Thanks for this. I will now attempt to change my battery.
Thank you! Great, go for it.
Man awesome job, very well explained. Can you also do a video on changing out the 2012 528i x drive junction block?
Thank you! I don’t have that vehicle right now.
do i have to code my 2012 528i again?
Not necessarily, if it gives you problems then yes, if not you’re fine

That’s so true, but unfortunately it’s only going to get more complicated.

As soon as I disconnect the negative terminal. My alarm 🚨 goes off Not sure if that’s normal. Any advice
Make sure before you disconnect the battery you unlock all the doors with the remote. That should do it

Yes, sounds like the module is going bad.
I have a 2011 BMW 535i do I need to reset the computer or can I just swap the battery I buy straight from auto zone ?
No reset of the computer but things like the sunroof may have to be relearned.
You have to program the battery to the car so it adjusts the voltage
Some newer models yes
Was this a group 49 battery?
Yes
good instructions 🎉
Thank you!
Have a X1 battery is in the front.
2009 to 2015 is in the trunk, yours is probably newer.
No need to code the battery after replacing it ?
Nope
Bro lifted the red thing up like it wasn’t nothing 😂
Must of been a good day
I have a 535i 2015 every one us telling me that i need to have the battery coded to the car???
If your particular model calls for it then yes. But most don’t and will relearn by itself.
How will I no if my will relearn by it self??
If you are just replacing an old weak battery with a fresh new one it will relearn. If the battery was left dead for a long period of time than it should be recoded to the vehicle.
Thank you sir.one more question the battery in my car has A vent hose but my new battery doesn't will that be ok??
@rastasoul9999 No, has to be vented.
Put batteries in the FRONT of CARS!!!!!
I know, but sometimes there is no room
