- Ford's NEW electric car is the Mustang Mach-E. I give it a full review on the road and at the charging station. It is the muscle machine with-a-plug that will reach 62mph in under 6 seconds. Plus, a 10-minute charge will give you 66 miles of range.

I do like the volume dial but the screen - it really does look like the designers went out of their way to make it look like a large tablet clipped on the dash. I thought, for a second, you were going to show how you can detach it! Still can't get round it being "Mustang" either but maybe when the E GT is out It will sit better! Nice to see you on your own Vicki. Great reviews, the Golf R captured me, great jump. The Yaris love to bits and now this Mustang Mach E a real learning point. Maybe I'm getting conservative in Switzerland, the driving looks fun if not a little hooligan like for a main road, but hey 50mph speed limits here makes everything else look fast. Can't wait for the next films. Maybe a VW Up GTI, love to know what you think, its no Yaris but great fun and smiles per miles is what its for.
This video and presentation is very well done; it kept me engaged for the duration of the video. Though I must say, I found it slightly amusing that you referred to the video as a “film” 😂. Anyways, good video!

1st actual review I have watched of the mach e, seems about in line pricing with the old petrol mustangs.
Hi VBH love your new channel. One suggestion... Can you also put up kilometres and kW on the screen when you show miles and hp. As I'm sure like me in Australia and other countries like Asia for example we don't quote in miles/hp. Just makes it easier than having to look up the conversion.. Just a thought 😀

I’m just sending mine back after 2000 miles and 4 months. I get only 210 with a full charge it’s the best long range one as well
But love the car, but at £57000 210 miles is no good! Got back home a week ago with 12 miles left and that after a charge while out

I don't know the Mach-E but on every car with this I do know then yes, brake lights come on as soon as you're off the power.
'Propulsion noise' - the noise Vicki makes each episode when on throttle

Think I'm a little too old school to accept this as a mustang, if they did away with the emblem it could be made by any number of manufacturers & I'm not keen on the screens these cars have in them (including those fitted to conventional cars) I still prefer regular buttons, sliders & switches. The price seems reasonable & some of the safety tech is good and it might even stand out in a supermarket carpark & get noticed by the neighbours but that SUV shape that so many manufacturers are now building means it's just not got the presence of a traditional mustang.

Great review, really starting to like the Mach E now, but too much out of my price range at the moment!
I'm waiting 3 years and see what kind of prices the Mach E/Ioniq 5 will get. i never buy brand new due to the value cliff so to say is too harsh to my wallet.
I like a smaller car and apparently the next Ford-E will be Puma based. If they can scale down everything this has I am incredibly in.

I'm more upset we don't have a proper EV mustang (this is a little to crossover style) than I am that a mustang ev exists. Love what ford is doing these days please review the new ford maverik truck next!

I’m not a fan of Ford current naming process. Puma on a SUV, Mustang on a EV, surly Ford could think of some better names. But impressed with Ford first full EV. However £60k for something that slower then my Fiesta and won’t go as far on a fill, I’ll stick with that for the foreseeable.

I like the car but I think the 15" screen is too big and looks out of place, also the hefty price tag won't encourage people to buy one

In Canada Ford dealers have a wait list for the Mach-e and they are price gouging($10-$20k over list)😒, this will hurt Ford against the Tesla(no haggle price, except for Elon' whims) offerings especially if they continue to do so when the GT arrives... Curious if that's the case in UK?
Tesla is starting to show its cracks, and not its fit and finishes we're so used to. With two of its heavy hitting major players leaving the company means something is going on. When two great people leave a company at the same time you better be paying attention. And where is that cybertruck?
Ford is about to drop the mic on the EV game with the Mustang Mach e, f150 lighting, and with the Maverick, Bronco and Explorer offering an EV in the next year or two.

Ok... This is getting old. The name is not going to change so please wish all you want. This car is bringing in new customers to the name plate so you can run around in your Petrol one a little bit longer. 60% of the Mustang Mach e being sold are new customers to Ford.

This is a jacked up SUV type electric car with some styling hues from the Mustang such as the tail lights.
Say the name Mustang and people think of the noise, the engine. That’s all I’m saying it’s completely changed the whole dynamic of the car.
IMO Ford are just becoming lazy with naming cars. Like the new Puma vs old Puma, they are nothing alike.
Yes people change and evolve, over time. You don’t go bed as a 20 year old and wake up 45 though.

It's a good looking car . Just not convinced on electric cars. HFC will be better.
It's the future and it's needed to save our planet but gonna miss that feeling you can only get from actually driving a car, pressing a clutch pedal and moving a gear lever around...... it's a bit like a PlayStation on wheels.

Great review, thank you. Lack of Apple CarPlay on Teslas is a bit of a deal breaker for me, this seems a great alternative, especially when the GT comes out.
Very nice car with great pace & range, few things I think the designers need to move away from ..1) trying to copy Tesla.. that huge tablet should really be incorporated into the dashboard properly. 2) the charger port door could have been designed as a sliding unit, so it hides into the body of the car ...to stop some vandals damaging it when left unattended on charge. 3) the charger cable should have been designed to curl up & hidden in a compartment of the frunk ( bonnet ).... just few ideas for you Mr EV designers. Excellent vlog again VBH, thank you.
@@twany442 I think you have misunderstood what I said, so pls re-read my comments. For your information am a designer too but not of cars. I was pointing out a few things Ford could have done differently as they designed this Mustang from ground up.I was not been critical of VBH.

This looks like a fun daily driver, I've been thinking about an electric car lately to try to do my part with pollution and what not. I love my 97 Cobra Mustang but if we want to continue driving our mass polluters we need to make up the difference

I feel like EV’s are being forced upon consumers. This only makes me want to buy a traditional ICE car even more. I just don’t find EV’s to be involving or exciting to drive.
What makes it 'a refreshing alternative to Tesla's Model 3?
a - the higher price
b - the lower range
c - the lesser autonomy capabilities
d - the more problematic charging
e - other (name it)

Don’t be fooled by the epa numbers. In the real world the tesla gets less range than claimed. The MME does better range than indicated

@@arthdenton I have a model y and I have a mustang mach-e. My model y says I can do 320+ miles but in the real world I doubt I can can do 270
The Ford says it has 270 miles of range but I think it could easily do more than 300
I live with both of these cars so I know. Tesla is built to score very well on the epa test. Real world results are different
@@joetz1 Real world results are VERY different. There MANY things that affect range: weather (rain, wind), type of road, temperature - ever driven your Ford in winter, probably not because it's too new, speed, driving style...
We are going to pick up our Mod Y next week but I've been driving a Mod 3 for a couple of years now and my overall average for the past 25k iles is 0.23 Kwh per mile. This translates into 326 miles range on a 75 Kwh battery. The EPA range was 315 miles. Of course, I am in Florida so we never had to drive on really cold weather but did have our share of bad weather such as strong winds and torrential rain. I don't expect the Model Y to be less efficient than the Model 3 because... well... it's newer. I comes with the heat pump and I'm sure they've improved other things between then and now.
I still believe that the EPA's figures should be more trustworthy than anyone's individual experience while, indeed, the EPA figures will not agree with any individual driving situation.
And we're not about to mention all the problems Tesla has or its ultra low score customer satisfaction. Or maybe the long wait for a flatbed truck to pick up your car for repairs. Maybe the parts they won't let you buy or the idiots that own them and falls asleep at the wheel.
And how many fiery death crashes?
Or it just maybe the delivery date getting pushed back into eternity. No... Then horrific panel gaps I keep hearing about or the Mitch Match Plastics. Is it the searing Sun that comes in through the sunroof with no tint? Or its it the so-called long range that isn't really as long as advertised? Then it must be the two very important senior staff members who just left the company at the same time. And has anyone seen the cybertruck? 🤨🙄🤔

Porsche are selling diesel trucks, i don't see the problem with mustang SUV. But it takes 5 minutes to fill up mustang v8, it takes 11 hours to fully charge the electric mustang, to me it looks like the v8 is more advanced vehicle

I know it's just a name and Ford has a history of using the Pony badge on many a forgettable shytebox (hello 80's!) but I really wish they would stop and leave it for things that fit the 'stereotypical muscle car image' it contours up like the current sixth generation S550. One day it too will go EV and then what will they call it? They could have simply called this SUV platform the Mach-E and be done with it...
Too much credit to infortainment system. It is pretty mediocre and buggy
