20:17 Whoa how did you get that analyzer to show up in the eq graph? I'm a novice volunteer at my church and trying to learn as much as I can. Would love to have that analyzer, but have no idea how to get it.
Happy Birthday Guillaume. Nice move! A few years ago I picked up the Pro1 and two DL153's as a contractor package deal. Always been a Midas fan since the mid 70's when we swapped out our old PM1000 (can't believe folks now a days think this a great board...for a legacy device it does make a good boat anchor) for a board from a new UK company called Midas and a Pro3 analogue desk......whole new world for me. Been through numerous brands since and always seem to return to Midas. Even since everything build wise moved off shore.....and even after this adventure....went through two major issues with the Pro 1....within 6 months PSU went and froze the DSP so it would not boot....whole console was replaced for free......then about a year later developed some strange noise in the internal A/D boards.....had the whole thing apart and traced it to the main DSP board......had to pay to have it shipped to Denver and they replaced the main CPU DSP board....shipping was not cheap. This was several years ago now and my Pro1 has since done numerous shows with no issues. Sold the two DL153's and now run one DL451 loaded with 8x8 sub D's. Not a fan of AES50....would rather see Dante or Madi without adding another interface. Be nice to use some off the shelf switches for a more robust cost effective redundant network setup. Use good sheilded cat5e and redundant runs to keep the AES50 world stable. Even with all these issues you can see I am still a dedicated fan and am still looking to ad another in my OBtrailer build (maybe the new H96D air would next years BDay! Hah) . There are some great deals out there on the Pro series right now. 24/96 and the Midas sound can't be beat. I have mixed and installed numerous other brands....Digico SD's...Quantum....Avid S6L's....Yamaha CL's.....just always something about the Midas pres for me. Also have some 500 series modules in the studio. Have the KT DN9630 as well great little box. Easy way to get your live mix recorded. Use it in the studio and my DAW with good results. Solid ASIO drivers. One last note I run an external router and Mix Station app on an IPad air for an around the room setup .....works great. Enjoy your channel. Keep up the great work!! All the best!
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with me. Since the first time I had the pleasure to mix on a H3000, I was sold, nothing sounds like a Midas. I like other brands, Avid, Digico are a good product but Iâm always looking for something that is missing in them. And donât start me on PM1000âĶ they are great door stoppers âĶ
Great video ,I just finished a gig with my midas h3000 analogue desk, but been toying with the idea of getting a digital desk but nervous about going from analogue to digital
@chrisclose7793 it definitely can affect your health, the amount of miles you walk on a H3000 between your kick and lead vocal if a significant amount of your daily activity
I love my cranky little Pro 1. Donât forget to change the battery if you havenât already. If the battery goes in the middle of a show, it becomes a bad day.
The Midas Pro modulates some sort of Copyright Information to its analog output signal. I discovered this when I tried to record the main out through the headphone Jack. On my way home, I listen to the recording. After some time on my car's screen, it shows "Midas Pro". In some quiet parts, I can hear some sort of Digital white noise.
Hey man the same pro 1 user here, I have a question, I have ocx hd clock how can I connect it as a external clock for pro 1? Thanks in advance man, you are cool.
For this same reason, I need a console for myself. Small churches are always asking me to do shows for them and they usually have an old analog board and no eq for the outputs. I need to get an XR18 soon. ð
Itâs sound way, way better out of the box. Its night and day difference that anyone can hear. Iâll try to do a test where I just mix a multi track only with faders, no EQ, nothing to hear how itâs different to just go through the console
so were you saying that there is no way to run this console remotely with a tablet like most all other consoles? Or did I misunderstand? I have been looking at a Wing, but I am also interested in a Pro 1 or pro 2c but I have to be able to control them remotely. Thanks!
Hi ð You can run a tablet with it, itâs only for Computer Offline version that is not supported anymore and the old Snake Controls app for the Ethernet ContrÃīle for Stagebox.
surely you can run the pro series remote, with their mixtender 2 app. but you don't have access to any fx besides of the geq. just mix, dynamics/eq and sends. thats it. it's primary purpose seems to be for doing mons on stage. but it kinda works if you never tap or use scences.
@@dylandylan11731 Yes mixing station is awesome and I use it with my other boards. Unfortunately it is not available for the Pro 1. Only the HD96. Knowing that the control is very limited from a tablet on the Pro 1 it may influence my decision. I have been holding out on the Wing because of all the problems and the ridiculous amount of time that it takes to get them fixed. May just pick up a M32 or another X32.
thanks for your answer. hopefully the C-Mos Battery ist empty. In Germany we have some certified repair services. Music Tribe answered me after my registration. The TH-camr from Pakistan shows a video " Pro 1 not booting" Later the console in this video was in Bios Mode & he repaired it. He puts a so called Post (power on self test) Card as i see in the slot for diagnostics. Linux Starting. I will have a closer look to his video. Good guy

My Midas pro 1 does not boot anymoreðĒ. Maybe mainboard error. Warranty was valid only for the first owner
Did you try to reinstall the Operating System or replace the hard drive?

Does the pro1 have a place for the coffee mug? ð

Hey man the same pro 1 user here, I have a question, I have ocx hd clock how can I connect it as a external clock for pro 1? Thanks in advance man, you are cool.
Use the Work Clock or AES/EBU in on the back to make a connection.
Set your clock to that port and enjoy

Hi ð
MR18 if you can, will help a lot.
If not, M32C and a DL32 itâs packing a lot of power for 4 rack space
So I have an x32 venue and have been thinking about getting a pro one to replace the X32. Worth it? big change?
