Youre a legend brother, only starting out in the game really and the pro series have always terrified me, same as digico. Now you've halfed the terror. Really enjoy your videos. Cheers from Éire
Great video. Wish I would have had this to work with 9 years ago when I used my first Midas Pro. I have a Pro 1, which is my favorite, a Pro 2 and a Pro 2c. We still use them all of the time and they work and sound fantastic. Thanks for posting. Really nice job.
The band I mix for routinely opens for REO, STYX, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult etc. Any time I can be on a Pro 1 or Pro 2 it's gonna be a great day. Put one attached to a well tuned system and it is nothing short of amazing!! Thanks again for the great video.@@OffshoreAudio
Great video! I had to jump into a gig last minute with a Pro1 when I had never even touched one before. It was a nightmare to set up from scratch with no experience on it. I had artists asking me to route reverb to the monitor before I had even got the inputs and outputs set up. Thankfully it was all good and the gig went well. It was definitely the most clunky UI I've used before or since though.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! They are a nightmare when you don't have a show file already. Turning on the master and the monitor sends for every channel. I see where they're coming from but it's pretty impractical. Glad you survived
Great video man, so helpful. Considering how widely used this console is there’s very little videos out there detailing the inner working of this desk. Big shout out to you!
Glad you liked it! I was thinking of doing a deep dive into the patching screen as well, inserts and stuff. Would that be helpful? Anything you think I missed?
@@conorblanche3455 Ahhh that's what I needed to hear. I forgot about the headphone nightmare! Coming right up when I get a quiet moment on a pro mixer. Maybe next week if I'm lucky
i got a question i did everything in the video and the monitors i put them on pre fader but when i put volume to the monitor it goes up on the main speakers also is there any suggestion thaks
You're welcome. You need to load it in the Fx rack. Pick an FX slot and and a spectrum analyser. There's a few options in there to make it follow the selected channel out solo'd channel
Thanks for the tip I got it I’m sorry I got another question about the matrixes I couldn’t find how to put them pre fader because I want to work tops L and R and subs tnanks
@@LeonardoChavezdeChicago Usually you change pre fade post fade from the channel that you're sending from. If you're driving your PA from your master via a matrix it doesn't sound like you want pre fader though. you still want the master fader to work right?
Yes that is correct but I can’t find how to set the matrix there are only a few videos of the Midas pro1 I did the same thing with the Behringer x32 bit with the pro1 I can’t find how to do it if you can help me I will appreciate a lot thanks teacher
Thanks for a great video. Just a note for other videos you may make, please remove some of the cuts to you talking and leave the video on the content, such as the patching page. It got a little hard to follow when the video kept jumping to you from what you all the time.

Great to hear it was helpful! Midas really have a knack for horrific user interfaces.

Thanks so much! They're great mixers when you get past their quirks, pretty old now but like you said, they still get used all the time :)

Thanks for putting this video up! Doing Audio Engineering and the lecturers and the curricula is horrendous.Youre a lifesaver! 😁
I feel you! When I graduated I SUCKED at mixing shows haha. So I'm hoping I can make it easier for you!

@@OffshoreAudio I think that would be a great idea. Maybe a dive into creating groups, patching headphones and TB mic too. Thanks dude :)
