    • @PizzaLord
      @PizzaLord ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Duhamel does not celebrate. It's look of embarrassment mixed with relief and dis-belief. He is way too embarrassed to celebrate bearing in mind how badly he knows how he played the hand.
      Candio's situation is different because he had already accepted he had lost the hand and also, unlike the Duhamel, was staring down both barrels at elimination from the event.
      And yeah, his reaction is different because he is Italian.

      Candio was all but out of the Main Event but he made a runner-runner straight from heaven after a 13% chance of Survival post-flop. Adrenaline rush and how high the stakes are with 19 players left in the Main Event pretty much made that celebration all that much memorable to me. (Candio went from a near 19th place finish ($317K) into 4th place ($3.3M))
      Duhamel was more in disbelief and relief. Disbelief that he made a ridiculous call and got lucky, but relieved that he just won the largest pot of the 2010 main event at that point and just about ensured himself a seat at the final table.

    I can’t believe the cheong vs duhamel hand.
    Cheong is being faced with a 5 bet. A FREAKING FIVE BET. ask yourself, what does that range look like when there’s millions of dollars on the line??? That’s a clear easy fold. Firstly, you can’t squeeze in A7 off into your teeny tiny 6 bet range. You’re just going broke almost every time doing that. Secondly, I believe he thought Duhamel was weak cause with both of his raises, the 3 bet and the 5 bet, he chose a small raise size. I believe in that spot, the 4 bet with the A7 is totally fine, definitely more on the aggressive side, but fine by all means, especially since they’re 3 handed. But once you’re opponent puts in the FIVE BET, the hand should be over with.
    That’s just my thoughts, what you guys think?

    • @Larez121
      @Larez121 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shukuladay888 Perez Totally agree. That year Cheong was the most LAG player at the final table, which is why in that other hand in this video the other guy called Cheong with a small pair never expecting Cheong to have AA heh. Anyway there had to be hands not on the show where they played back at Cheong knowing he doesn't have the goods.
      Perhaps Cheong was getting frustrated with the pushback and his style wasn't working anymore. He was probably hoping Duhamel was three betting light... But once that five bet came Cheong should have narrowed his range to only the premium hands AK, AA, KK, QQ, even AQ, JJ since it's only three handed with the pay jump considerations. Or as they are called now, the ICM considerations? Cheong was hoping Duhamel would fold based on his ICM considerations, when he should have been considering his own lol...

    Bellande getting beat is so funny. I swear though, it’s the ‘energy’ you give these situations that creates the outcome. If you truly believe you are going to get unlucky, you will and vice versa. The luckiest players aren’t lucky because they lose their confidence and believe they are going to lose. They truly believe that they will win. Gods plan or whatever the hell they think they just know that the river will save them. All the negativity and fear is what makes that river card destroy you. Call me crazy but I’ve seen it far too many times for it not to be the way it is. An here’s the funny bit, I can’t even do it I always lose haha.

    Cheong's raise/re-raise/re-raise All In is one of the worst missteps at the Final table in the 20 years I've been watching the WSOP Main Event. Huge mistake. Ace-Seven off suit doesn't just lack in worthwhile draws; it has NO draws except a pair of Aces. Beats some hands, sure, but Duhamel's play up to that point said one thing and one thing only: he wasn't likely to be bluffing. Cheong should've folded after his first raise and played out more hands, with a decent chance of beating out Racener to play heads up against Duhamel for the title.

    • @ivanm4488
      @ivanm4488 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If look from Duhamel's side he can't call with QQ because how many chances Chong make 6-bet bluff? 0,01%, so Duhamel plays against KK or AA and he must fold queens, but he didn't.

    Never realised how similar the Jarvis - Mizrachi hand is to the famous Ivy - Money maker one. Both have flopped trips with AQ both have a 9 on the turn for the player to boat up and both have an Ace on the river to crush 99s full. Only difference is one was preflop all in.

  • @zottffss
    @zottffss 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    On a side note on that Jarvis vs Mizrachi hand, every hand shown would’ve hit decently or better:
    Candio would’ve had the worst hand with two pair (8s and Qs)
    Senti would’ve had trip Queens.
    Duhamel would’ve had a straight.
    Jarvis with 9s full of Qs.
    Mizrachi with Qs full of Aces. (Win)
