From the 1982 album Offering , this is Axe - Rock n Roll Party in the Streets.. Many thanks go to Rockinwoody for originally uploading this rare clip !
1984 Guitarist Michael Osbourne was killed and founding Guitarist Bobby Barth was seriously hurt in a car accident, an attempt to reform in 1989 fell through...Barth played for Blackfoot for 4 yrs after recovered, was on Blackfoot's album released in 1984
This is one song that would come to mind I would pull it out ofe glovebox push it in cassette while cruising down town Spokane on riverside street all the high schoolers colleges from allover from Idaho to Canada all my closet Buddy's drove muscle cars n just cool hot rods.the stories are girls beer partying ; back seats everything no curfews!!?
i luv this song listen to it everyday never gets boring thanks axe i remember this song when i was 16 years old they played it all the parties i went to im 50 now love it
I laughed out loud in my cubicle reading that comment. I never heard of these guys before and I don’t know what to make of them. Did they break up quick or did they just never make it?
@@danhoyland142 guess they just didn't make it. Was and still is one of my favorite songs. Yet, like you, most people never heard of the song much less the band. Btw, enjoyed your comment. Made me lol, too.
Teddy Mueller (drummer) was a friend of mine...heard many stories of the bands tragic history, losing Michael to a car accident in 1984...band once lost all their instruments to a twister in Indianapolis...Teds house fell off a hill into the Atlantic in California...I was almost denied entry into a Journey concert when Teddy went toe to toe with bouncer. RIP Ted
saw these guys twice at the Bronco bowl in Dallas, TX. Opened for Quiet Riot Metal Health Tour & Motley Crue Shout at the Devil tour. Early 80's, not sure what year...
Robert, yes I saw them open for Ozzy in Reno Nevada in June 1982. I was 13 years old at the time. 40 years ago! Man, where does all the time go? I was front and center, 5 feet away from OZZY. I'll never forget that day!
Nothing is underrated about Axe. They didn’t write hits. That’s what it takes. Axe wrote great songs, but not hits. Admit this, it feels better knowing not everyone was enjoying Axe. These cats were ours. They played for us. Sure they would have liked to be big, but those of us that were not of the status quo loved music that was ours…fringe music. Axe belonged to us. Or, I’m an idiot.
So simple yet so profound. Heavy Metal with a definite pop sensibility. Bon Jovi could have recorded this. But they didn't. Axe did. This should have been a big hit. But it wasn't. Too bad. I'm just glad someone finally posted this video after so many years of not being able to find it. 🤘🏻
I saw Axe at the Button South in Hallandale, FL around the time of this album. Billy Barth had a bottle of Jack Daniels that he took a swig from, then handed it to the guy standing in front of me in the crowd. This guy ended up handing it to me, I handed it to someone next to me. Unfortunately, the bottle never made it back to Billy. He just shrugged his shoulders and played the next song. I kinda felt bad for the guy, LOL!
I still have my vinyl lp. One of the old lp's or cassettes I bought in the early 80's I've never been able to get on cd. The first Vandenberg is another.
This is one of those songs you vaguely remember. I'm thinking" that song with where theres a dancing nun at the end of the video" Yep, this is it. Thanks for bringing it back.
Positively tailor-made for the soundtrack of an '80s "teen rebellion" film. : D \m/ \m/ I remember their Heat In The Street video from the great old U-68 Power Hour.
Great song! It’s almost like the music video was recorded in 2019 and made to look like it was recorded in the 1980’s..sure that’s a total coincidence though
Listen to KNAC on the World Wide Web. They just played this jam about an hour ago. I automatically stopped my truck and painted a bird on the hood, cut out a sunroof, then cranked it to 11.
LOL! Bad to the bone, tail kicking classic rock!!! I wonder if they had other hits? Fun stuff from the age of kick arse rock and roll, and no mellanies pissing and moaning about everything...SDMF
Wow I remember going to see that lineup in the Rio Grand Valley at the Villa Real between McAllen and mission in the early 80s.Man I forgot about that one !!
jacksonville, fl band I believe. I saw them at adventure island in tampa I believe they opened for Taxxi. Met one of them backstage but it was so long ago I don't remember which member it was.
My then girlfriend and I were there as extras, when they shot that video. Can’t see us in the video, however. Happy days!
I did the same for Ratt, Quiet Riot , & Night Ranger. 👍
Is that a guy or girl he kisses at the 0:44 second point?
@@therockman6482 i dont know bro thpught same1
Sure bro very funny try again
We were too!! Downtown Jacksonville.
This one brings me back to high school. Parties. Girls. Raising hell in cars. Man i miss those days.
Brings me back to my youth, loved this band
Reminds me of my hometown, Roseburg Oregon. Attending keg parties on Friday nights. The best time to be young, I swear.
Lakeside..up the creek bar and grill
Still one of the baddest rock songs of the 80's! The piano intro is awesome!
I knew the drummer Teddy briefly. We were both working with the Mars music store chain at the time. RIP brother.....
While stationed NTC, SAN DIEGO, CA. Saw AXE open for OZZY OSBOURNE "DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR". THEY ROCKED!!
Few qualify as a rock anthem, this one lives up to the billing..
I saw AXE and Helix at the sunnyvale rock festival.
Chill out there, heavy metal dick😅
One of the great hard rock anthems since 1982
This is one of the greatest rock songs ever !! I don't know how Axe didn't make it BIGGGG !!!
They didn't sell their souls

It REALLY isn’t…
Because they are gay. Don't believe me, look at the video right around the 45 second mark.
Love their first album. Part of the problem was their record label never really knew how to market them
This video is the gift that keeps on giving. Damn it's amazing 🤘
That song you heard all the time on the radio in the 80s but never knew quite who sang it. Still jam this to this day
I knew it was Axe in 1982 and shall always know. You just had to be alert for the DJ to tell you.

Hadn't heard this in AGES !!! Still rocks !!
Bought my first sunglasses and grew A beard after I saw this video years ago!! NO REGRETS!!
This is how we rolled back in '82.
I was 10 when this came out. I loved it then and I love it now.
Nineteen myself and a young soldier. Helped cure all ills that came with homesickness in 1982. Radio forgets the fans NEVER!
word.
I remember an old Bret Hart VHS where Johnny Polo sings this on commentary to Gorilla Monsoon. I had no idea it was an actual song until just now.
There is so much testosterone in this video I grew a beard watching this.im a girl. Greetings from Southern California.
Greetings from Central PA !

Sid Vicious. Love it!! 😁😎
In 1985 this was the anthem for every weekend keg party.
Amen brother!! Class of ‘85!
Wayne, and Teddy came over to the house one time. Teddy was helping me tune my drums…nice guy, miss him, as I know you do Bobby. ❤️
Is the bass player still alive?
@@Mark-vm1ln yeah, Wayne is still alive, as far as I know. Do you know Wayne?
Saw them Dec 26 1983 when Axe and Pat Travers opened for Kiss

Thanks for the post! After looking for the video a few years ago, I didn’t think one existed.
🕶👍🏼
❤❤❤
Saw them open for Ozzy in 1982! Great band and this song is too good. We need these type of parties during the pandemic.
And show no (repeat NO!) mercy to anyone who tries to get in our way and God Bless.

Had the album back in the early 80's.
What an AMAZING song!!! Just 100% AMAZING!!!
I love how he holds the guitar in the air like an ax.
Such a happy song. 🤘🏼
