I agree. When I was a young man I met a beautiful girl who I thought was seventeen or eighteen, but turned out to be fourteen. She was tall and fully developed physically. I never saw her again but I read shortly after she was in a car accident where the driver was a guy about my age and he was killed. She and two other girls her age were injured. Drinking was involved. She was trying to grow up to quick.

First the concept "Woman" is directly about sex. Then Adult, child, baby, all these terms are to express the human growing development but you're a woman or a man since you're a baby. So yes a 14 yo is a woman and an adolescent.

Movie attendance peaked back in 1933. Look it up. TV Guide data shows that the most popular hours of TV aired in the 1950's, 60's and early 70's. Our so-called "pop music" was TV music. Now the entire Billboard Top-200 Singles list accounts for less than 5% of American streaming music. It's all dead now. Kaput. Ignored. Not "shared." Never eat or drink any food or beverages advertised "on TV." None. As of 2023, 65% of American never drink "soda pop." Digest the numbers. Numeracy prefigures comprehension.

Indeed. A sitcom called Friends runs late at night in my area. It's mild by the standards of Hollywood, but there is plenty of icky, questionable, outright unethical stuff that is not called such. And then there is Sex and the City which is even worse. I recently watched a video on YT about a woman who moved to NYC thinking her reality would be like that show. I don't see how people can make life decisions based on TV shows and movies, they are all pretend. And even were it not much about SatC is not a good way to live, one doesn't have to deal with "social diseases" in a sitcom or unwanted pregnancies out of wedlock because it's all pretend. The real world has real consequences.

Brett is so lucky to have an emotionally mature mother. Mine was the exact opposite of that, she expected me to be super successful and used to make me sign up for a lot of extracurriculars when I was younger. She was insecure and she tried to live life through me, that’s why she was so controlling and a “perfectionist” when it came to my academic career.
My feelings did not matter to her at all, she was cold, demanding and mean. I was afraid of saying no to her bc she would throw a tantrum and play the victim afterwards. I used to live for her, not for myself. During college I had a breakdown and she blamed me and said horrible things. Which wasn’t really new for me tbh, I was used to her insults by then. But still, that day I made up my mind: I wasn’t going to tolerate more abuse from her.

By some crazy people is, at one time, was. My daughter was a curly haired blind haired blue eyed baby. Grandmother on fathers side was deeply enamored by this, so much that it caused harm to many.
She groomed her by showing her cosmopolitan mags from the time she could bately walk. Even while I was present (I dark haired, brown eyed, was not "attractive" in her eyes, apparently -who cares?!) she would tell my tiny daughter that "this is what a pretty wiman looks likes". She was a loon. She fought me for my children when I left her son, who was deeply affected by her insanity. Her previous grandchild, who was favored, was also dark haired. She was thrown aside once the blond child came along.
I looked into why the facination w blondes and read an interesting article that said that because when a certain "group" of people are in the minority, it grabs attention.
I dont know if thats true, but know my best friend of the last couole of years is also blonde haired and blue eyed. Im not even in the room when shes there, it seems. For me, its good science. Whime shes al smiles (groomed to be?) Shes kinda prickly many times!

They bring their daughters to auditions dressed and made up like prostitutes. Do you know what scene you see most often? The girl comes out of the audition with a sad face, says she wasn't accepted and her mother screams at her and gives her a couple of slaps.
Among other things, the producers had to agree to take all gay male examiners to avoid "unpleasant situations".

Indeed, I've always felt like all young men should be protective & focusing their consciousness on the actual full human being, the heart, spirit, mind of women, and sadly in a society where a lot of young men fall into the wounded masculine category instead of being in the divine masculine energy they're truly lost souls not even wanting to be protective of their wives, girlfriends, sisters, family members, lady friends, let alone all the stranger women. God made all humans in his image & likeness, people have infinite value but far too many men out there see women as more like objects or status symbols instead of the full human beings worthy of selfless respect, love, dignity. When men can't live with integrity & honor they dehumanize not only the women but their very self & core being, they spiritually die & wither, are now blinded in darkness in their hearts not even being able to see & recognize the spirit or soul in every women they engage with.
The wounded / broken masculinity turns the young men into predators instead, serving Satan instead of serving God perhaps thinking themselves pridefully to be their own "God" in their pride they became foolish not knowing their pride makes them less than dust in the eyes of God, how they treat all human beings or look at them selfishly instead of selflessly reflects their character & heart. Perhaps they got this way due to unhealed trauma from past women, or a poor relationship with their mother figure, or perhaps never having a healthy & positive masculine male model in their lives in their childhoods, a healthy father figure to see how he engages with & thinks of women.
God bless Brett, she's grown into a wonderful young lady.

Anyone who’s an actor can attest that the film industry has no more morals than the adult film industry. Personally, I despise having to admit something is “systemic” but if you’re an actor going out for auditions, you’ve seen how easy it is for those above you to just utterly dehumanize you. Translate how they’re willing to treat full grown adults who are desperate to make it into how easy it would be for the sickos to take advantage of children and you realize literally none of this is hard to believe. It’s very easy to believe this stuff is widespread.

Due to the type of industry it is, it is supposedly safer to work within the adult film industry than it is to work in the regular film industry. Purely because they constantly check in with talents, behind-the-scenes personnel, and management to see if they're okay, how they're feeling, how healthy they are, zero tolerance for abusive behaviours, etc..
Whereas children's TV and regular film industry is more of a _"everything's automatically safe so we don't have to bother checking anything, we'll just blindly trust the people in charge"_ type of attitude. An attitude which obviously leads to many problems.

It's not just child actors. Its child models, singers, or anything to do with children. The most abused likely never became successful in any way and also are likely to have blackouts and repressed memories.

The most abused are the ones that get promoted the most by the industry. Dont sleep on it. Hollyweird is a big demonic pimpin industry and when you serve up, you receive. Look at the Diddy mess..Justing Bieber is who he is cause he sucked D...confirmed. So many people died before their time cause they were sacrificed either because they didnt play along or because their time was up. Fame has a price in Hollywood. Thats nothing crazy...thats real.

As much as Psychologists/Therapists are praised as healers, Dr.Peterson does a great job of showing how direct and bold a psychologist SHOULD be. Leaning into those uncomfortable questions and raising opportunities for accountability even in circumstances where it would be considered socially taboo to even imply one can be held to account (e.g a child creating boundaries and passing "testy" behaviors).
Brilliant. Again, pretty uncomfortable stuff, but that's where the growth and expansion happens. And it seems to me like he's always willing to go there.

Yeah it's pretty important to teach children social etiquette. It's not only important on how you should be conducting yourself and treat others, it also sets a mental guideline/barrier on what's appropriate when others interact with you and helps a little with noticing subtle inappropriate behaviours. Luke 6:31 came to mind, not the same, but in the same train of thought.

The point about noticing the initial testing moves, and rejecting them, is THE most important part of this conversation. I was an agreeable, partially physically disabled, high functioning autistic child, with inattentive parents. I had to teach myself to see predators coming, after years failing to see them in time. I was in my early teens by the time I had fully developed my 'spidey sense', and could fend off their initial subtle tests. As a result of my desperation to stop being fodder for predators, I got very good as spotting them, I warn parents to watch certain people around their kids. This sort of stuff happens all the time, not just to actors. I understand people who have good natural instincts and never become victims may find it hard to believe, but there are so. many. predators. out there, it's absolutely unreal. Teaching our kids (especially agreeable kids) to spot those initial moves is essential.

I think if a parent teaches their kids that they don’t matter by emotionally neglecting them, then the kids will grow up having a difficult time standing up for themselves. It has to do with if they think they matter or don’t. If you resonate that you don’t matter because your parents taught you that your whole life, you are viewed as a “people pleaser” and can easily be exploited by narcissists.

    • @DeepThinkersClub
      @DeepThinkersClub 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

Thank you! I read a book “Running on Empty” that really explains childhood emotional neglect (CEN) well. CEN basically teaches you that you don’t matter, so it’s held as a core subconscious belief, until you consciously override your schema by telling yourself that you do matter and believing it! 😊 That’s the biggest step to overcoming CEN.
CEN can be more psychologically damaging than emotional abuse, because it happens under the radar, so you subconsciously blame yourself. With abuse, at least you know the perpetrator is in the wrong.
And I’ll add that with CEN, you are also more likely to be abused too.

I was taken in by a family friend when I was 6 months old. I had a younger sister that was my best friend all our lives. She passed away at 32 suddenly. She had three kids, three different dads. One dad stepped up n took his daughter (she’s 18 now) and now her two sons have no one. Both have no idea who their fathers are. Their grandma took care of them until she passed away from a brain tumor last Feb.
I don’t know what to do. They’ve lived in horrible conditions, ran the streets of our small town, no discipline, no structure. I wanna help them, but I’m not financially capable to help them. These boys are now 15 and 12. It’s hard out here for people in poverty and uneducated.

So they must be in foster care now with you, as their aunt, able to be in contact with them. They'd likely benefit most from being placed with a married couple who've happily and successfully brought up their own children (so seen and handled the whole life cycle from baby to high school/beyond) and where the husband (foster dad) could provide good guidance and some firm behavior limits on them to help train them from running the streets to more normal and positive behavior.
And then you could be helpful showing sustained interest in them, like they matter and you care about what becomes of them as well as provide a link to their mom who they must miss terribly.
Perhaps you and your husband (if married) could apply to foster them or even adopt them. In the US at least, foster parents are assisted financially in providing for children they foster as the state recognizes there are financial costs to this, and the state often prefers familial fostering and adoptions when feasible. Your local children & family services type agency would be the place to start. Pray before, during, and after too. Condolences on the passing of your sister & ?mom. Best wishes.

Thank you for talking about this. Kudos to her Mother. It seems to be becoming the exception that parents put their children's needs before their own in so many cases in our society. An unhealed parent with low self esteem just passes their woundings on to their children in their own deep need for approval.
