At 1:05 when you are connecting the urinal to sanitary, If you are using the trim tool on pipe that is overlapping another pipe it will trim to the side of the overlapping piping you click on. Also, if you click on the first piece then hover over the second you will see a preview of how it will trim.
Thanks for the tip Pat. Yea on second watch I could have just selected the section that wasn't overlapping and it would have worked the first time. But I might have wanted to be clear about why it didn't work. Sometimes when I'm recording I make interesting decisions.
Haha that's because I want you to buy the course at my website! It's completely commercial free. And you also get to learn how I create sheets and isometric diagrams for my projects.
Hi MEP Guy, I have some questions about your courses: - Can I get access to your courses for unlimited time or possess them forever? - Can I get up-to-date content that will be added in the future within the course without extra payment? Thanks.
Yep you get lifetime access. There are some additional families that will be added to my template file very soon. Hurry because price goes up another $100 this week.
Thanks a lot for this video! It will really help me with my exam. I was wondering why at 25:10 you didn't create a group instead of just copying pipes and fixtures; in this way, future modifications would affect the whole system instead of just one fixture, without the need to delete and copy again pipes and fixtures, speeding up the process. Also, at 1:05:40, you should have selected the part of the tube nearest to the fixture, not the one furthest to it. Thanks again, and keep up the good work! P.S.: it would be interesting if you could design a new MEP system for an old building, finding smart solutions for the problems that you will probably encounter given that it's an old building
You could create a group for the shower but it's not saving me any time. If I had a large building with showers in various locations I might create a group. I will definitely consider creating a plumbing system using an existing building in the future.
The file is only available for those that purchase the course. You need my custom plumbing fixtures to be able to model as I show in this video. They are available with the course.

can you share the architectural floor plan?
You can get the floorplan / architectural model with the purchase of my Plumbing 201 course.
Do you reference plumbing code?
I do in my plumbing 101 course. That course was created for plumbing design. 201 focuses on modeling and construction documentation.
