  • How to change a broken clock spring, vehicle of choice is a Toyota Hilux N70 / Kun26 from 2007
    Symptoms are, no horn, air bag light is on and cruise control is not working
    Straightforward job be careful of the air bag and isolate the battery to ensure no issues.

      I've had my airbag light and traction control come on but then go away. My horn works but sticks on if I use it. My main and constant issue is my turn signals light up when I press the brake pedal along with fast blinking when in use. Does this sound like a bad clock spring?

      Hi mate, it doesn't really sound like a clockspring related issue, if it's involving the brake circuit and indicators, the horn working is a good sign although sticking on is very strange. Be a good idea to check for short circuits and make sure all your earth's are clean

      @simmosworkshop since my last comment I have found my cruise control is not working as well. I can get the indicator to turn on but cannot set speed with the steering wheel controls. I will definitely need to look at wiring and fuses.
