    Owned multiple pairs of leather sambas over the years. It takes a few wears to break them in but once you do the leather (especially around the toe box) moulds to the shape of your foot which is ideal as my feet are wide. Its an extremely comfortable trainer.
    I've never owned vegan ones but have had them in hand in a shop and the quality didn't stand up to the real leather ones.

    With retro sneakers, these shoemakers needs to atleast update the foam tech and arch support and it would be a perfect sneaker. Using old tech just means how money hungry they actually are.

      I think this model and other "retro" or perhaps "tribute" models can't stray away far from their roots. In many cases they started as very simple, or perhaps function-specific models. They just got popular and loved by many, for some of their attributes, and likely, more for their style.
      But one can't just demand that these popular models have the same features as running, tennis, or basketball trainers. They need to stay pretty much what they originally were, perhaps with some upgrades in durability, antibacterial /odor-control, etc. Sadly, materials sometimes downgrade, for the same price point, over the years.
      If you like Adidas, and this look but want better protection, checkout their VL Court, and Grand Court series. VL Court is skateboarding and lifestyle, and Grand Court is tennis, I believe.
      I recently got some of the VL Court 2.0 on sale. They seem beefy, quite supportive, and look quite stylish with lots of suede.
      Suede uppers would seem to protect as well from scrapes from recreational cycling, as well as skateboarding, which is the supposed original purpose.

    As someone who grew up with flat shoes, and Adidas Super Star back in the 90’s and 2000’s as a Millennial, and I have both the Samba OG, and Spezial, I didn’t start having any issues until I began wearing sneakers that was way more cushioned, with arch support etc. After starting wearing these this summer, hardly any pain. And of course most shoes will be painful of walking around for hours without breaks, or standing all day. If standing all day like at work, one should always opt for proper footwear for that particular and not sneakers, but depends on the person, and what they are used to. Doesn’t mean this shoe isn’t worth it. It just means that you should do your de search and use them as they where attended: soccer and handball doesn’t drag on for hours, so just as a regular everyday shoe is perfectly fine. But wouldn’t go hiking in them, or long hour walks.

      @@lx6381 I don’t really know what a true to size shoe is. All shoes normally fit me too long and too narrow. That being said, these are soccer shoes and like all soccer shoes, they tend to be a bid narrow. Nevertheless, the leather stretches after a few uses. Keep in mind that although they are relatively comfortable, they are still futsal shoes, designed to give you a good feel for the court and ball so they might feel a bit flat and hard to the ground.

    Stop calling that shit "vegan leather" is nothing more than plastic leather...I don't know how plastic can be "eco-friendly"

    • @CrOssXoVer3
      @CrOssXoVer3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      unfortunately veganism isnt very eco-friendly , that is the irony of vegan attire. (another is that food, even vegetables usually require animal products to grow, but thats off-topic). At the very least it is largely made of recycled materials, this is at some level the direction all companies should be going to with so much waste in the world. from a vegan.

    I really like the minimalist style of these. That's just kind of my thing. But after I bought them, I walked around in them for abour a mile and a half with summer socks on and my ankles are shredded... I suck at sizing sneakers. Is this a red flag that I should go half a size up?

      Hey! did you kept the Sambas until you broke in the shoes?, or you changed them, cause I'm having the same problem, just bought a pair and I'm thinking of changing to a Gazelle or a Spezial, should I resist the pain in my feet or change them?

    • @Overcookedsoul
      @Overcookedsoul 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @gabrieltavernier2864 I wore thicker socks and walked for shorter distances until the sneakers eventually wore in, so yeah, I did end up keeping my usual size for these.

    These will last you years, I've had a pair (same as in the video), since about 2016, I wear them nearly every single day for work, have walked thousands of miles in them no doubt, still going strong even after a few cycles in the washing machine lol.

    For me, the tall tongue on the heel of the shoe really digs into my heel, causing bleeding after the first wear. I quickly got tired of it and cut the top off.

    These Samba arent meant for fusbal, theyre casual kicks vs the Samba Classic whites which are the vintage fusbal shoe. Just saying...i wear my Samba OG's and theyre very comfortable for me with average width foot

  • @aliflammim3
    @aliflammim3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Adidas is not honest, in the Malaysian website the Samba is described as having “ soft leather uppers and suede overlays “ … this used to be real leather at one time but now it’s synthetic leather so please don’t think you are buying real leather. These Samba OGs sell for RM 560.00. There is another Samba, which is called here the Samba Decon and that has real leather but cost Ringgit 999.00. If you want really 100% leather all round & 100 % better comfort, better feel, natural creases, soft leather then get Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD. Adidas is overpriced, finish and quality has also deteriorated. Don’t follow trends go for the comfort of your feet.

    Dramatic!!! I’ve worn the Sambas for years at work being on my feet for hours. The argument of the shoe being too tight. The leather does give after wearing them for a while and break into a nice comfy fit. As far as the shoe not having enough technology. This shoe proves that less is more. The black and white with brown rubber always looks striking. The suede and leather hold up great. These shoes look like they haven’t been worn enough to give a review
