Watching in 2022 because our church sound sucks and I'm sick of it being distracting. I'm slowly bringing our mix up to a great sound with the help of your videos!
The tap delay is for adding in a repeated vocal line a beat or two later. You can assign how many repeats you would like, most of the time one or two work well, at 1/4 note timing within a song. The click track is important! Our drummer controls that which I feed into a DI box and then into the X32, then that goes into their IEM's. The mic is a countryman over the ear mic, I love it! Best speech mic for churches I have found.
Thanks so much Drew for the explanation. I appreciate the time spent making this video.I would like to know the best type of effect for vocal, back up vocal, guitar and drums on X32 effects.
Do you have a video explaining how to assign effects to "User Assign?" (I have a Producer, so following the set-up for the full size doesn't easily apply...) Thanks.
The X32 on the LR Bus has a built in Dynamics section, The compressor there allows a compressor ratio range from 1.1:1 to 100:1. So, I do not use an effect rack limiter on the LR Bus as the dynamics section from the LR bus is more than sufficient in holding the signal down. Also the ratio range on the channels is the same from 1.1:1 to 100:1. Enjoy!
Sorry if this is a dumb Q but is there any way to just use a send to automatically control the delay time? We have a click coming in to Ch11 from MainStage (obvs not being sent to the main mix) which then allows each of us to mix it into our iems. It would be so much easier if this click could also be used to control the delay timing automatically.
You can get the subtitle by selecting options on youtube video (as you watch any video on youtube go to top far right and choose auto general captions that way you can get them. The option is not always available but for this video its available
Hi.. God bless! Why do you have a limiter as insert on one of your buses and on one channel? Is the compressor not good enough? We're getting this mixer set up soon but I was debating whether or not to have the limiter from the effects rack on my LR (to protect my PA speakers) but I didn't know if the compressor on the mains would be enough. Thank you, your videos are great, I've learned a lot about this mixer. Keep it up. God bless bro!
If you are not sure you can trust your drummer are you sure you want him on your worship team? But that is a different topic. We use a normal metronome (sometimes an iPhone with the metronome app), plugged into a direct box, and then plugged into the board. Then we route this back into their in ears, I also disable the channel from the LR Mono and any busses so there is no way for it to get through the mains. If you had the metronome in front of you, you could start it.
What do you actually use the effect for? are you running a click track or something? I'm hoping to get one of these for my church and the drummer cant keep time to save his life, thinking of using this as kind of a bpm variable click track, or would it just be easier to take a metronome into a line input and route it to his return? Also interested in what mic you are wearing- it sounds really crisp.
We have the drummer start and stop it as our worship leader is busy with engaging the congregation, so she has enough to deal with. Drummer was the easiest option as he can start and stop it without much attention being brought to him.
What is your drummer using for click track? I'm not sure if I trust our drummer. I might have to come up with a scenario where I worship leader can start the tempo track.

You r great tutor you explain every tiny details
Nope no issues with the board at all. I love it. Never would even think about going back to our bahemith Allen & heath ML4000 48 channel board. haha.
Drew, wow, you're very good at explaining things. I appreciate the time you put into this and may God blesses you for your efforts.
Excellent! Thank You!

Hi Drew, if both the encoder and the push button is assigned to your FX3, does tapping overwrite the time set on the encoder?
Greetings. Thanks for the info. However is it the same way in which I could set up the tap delay on the X 32 Rack? Please advise.
Yeah I will do that next time I am in at the church!
Thankyou very much
Thank you

Hi.
Did you have any problems until now with X32 or it is ever "freeze" to you?
Thank You :D
How do you disable the click channel from coming through the LR and any buses?
Select the channel and press the Main Mix button and turn down all of your buses on that channel.
Hi, if it possible make a video about Matrix mix for the video.
thnaks
thanks

I really want to learn more about how to EQ all instruments please can u teacher me that
it was good and its help me a lot but the problem is blurd video
If Busses 15 and 16 are your FX, then where are your Mains? I thought that your Main L and R had to come out of 15 and 16?
the X32 has dedicated main LR output busses, on this board, busses 13-16 are set for FX
We just replaced out GL4 last night with the x32
That was terrible educational video! I appreciate you trying though.
Next video please go A thru B without side tracking
What do you mean?!?! Every other person is appreciating him!!!
Dono son stupid to delay it.... oh
