Water does not “thin” the blood, increasing water intake will expand circulating blood volume. Water has no effect on coagulation.

Note about Metformin: If you can avoid Metformin please do. Metformin is very effective and on high doses you will actually lose weight. But it is very hard on the kidneys. After my mother’s stroke, we also discovered that she was close to kidney failure and Metformin along with other factors - contributed. She takes a lower dose now (unfortunately there isn’t much on the market as effective as Metformin). and we were able to improve her kidney function with changes to her diet. Thank you Dr Berg for taking the time to highlight and explain this vital information.

There are exceptions to the rule. I lost 70 pounds in 7 months by doing keto with intermittent fasting however, I developed a blood clot called a, "pulmonary embolism" The doctor at the hospital could not believe it because he basically saw how healthy I was. I even got under 10% body fat. The blood thinner they put me on was xarelto and you can eat whatever vegetable you want. It's expensive though if you don't have insurance. They told me I could of died if I waited to long. Symptoms were a sharp pain near my rib cage and I noticed a shortness of breath when working out. Had know idea what was going on until they did a cat scan where they found 2 blood clots on my lungs! I didn't go to the hospital until I was in extreme pain. They still don't know how I got it with the exception of my Grandfather having blood clotting issues. Could be hereditary.

Consider investing in organic Multivitamin supplements such as: "Garden Of Life" organic Multivitamin. They are rich in essential vitamins and all from food.

I have really changed how my husband and I eat and have followed a lot of your suggestions to find ways to reduce my husbands\’s pain and inflammation. He is on Coumadin for a TYPE A aortic dissection he had 6 years ago. It’s a balancing act getting all his vitamins and nutrients in. I know he has to be careful with K2, but ACV and cod liver oil, which I just ordered to take with vit D3 surprised me - so thanks for that.

Hi Dr Berg, Really appreciate your videos.
In October 2020 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, In May 2021 had a major heart attack, and in April 2023 I had a stroke.
Doctors have put me on beater blockers (bisoprolol) and blood thinner (Apixaban)
Beater blockers cause me to feel light-headed, and according to the Mayo Clinic Apixaban can cause muscle wastage and joint pain.
Doctors are giving me bad news (3 years) I want to live for another 20+
3 years ago I was fit and active, today I am still active, recovered quickly from both the heart attack and stroke. Went into the hospital with a non-functioning left side on Friday 7th April and walked out with everything working the next day.
Want to come off Apoixaban and replace it with natural blood thinners.
There are no studies to help me understand what natural blood thinners would be needed to replace Apixaban.
Can you please share your thoughts on the above? The Doctors are using fear to keep me compliant.
    I'm 63 years old, active, non-smoker, non-drinker, vegetarian, 106kg, 194cm.
    Thanks,
    Martin

When you have a genetic blood clotting disorder like Factor 5 Leiden (body clots when its not supposed to) and you must take Xarelto (after becoming resistant to Warfarin which is basically RAT POISON) you can eat your veggies but you must be careful of natural blood thinners like CLO or Natto-I can't take more than 800 units of vitamin E (d alpha tocopherol) I can't take tocotrienols because they are too potent :(

Dr, please do a video on migraines. I'm sure there are lots of people who would benefit from that. Also I have noticed, garlicky food at night gives me palpitations, is that due to its blood thinning properties? Thanks!

Hey bud hope you're doing well
Very likely these symptoms are due to Candida die off from the garlic
Candida produce ammonia when they die, which can cause a fast heart rate
