- If you have a Jeep Wrangler JL 2 door or 4 door and have a need for some more work or prep space the Goose Gear Tailgate Table makes use of the factory tailgate for a convenient mounting surface for a lightweight fold-down table.
There are a few options in this category for tables but the Goose Gear Tailgate Table has some unique features. Beautifully made. Absolutely the cleanest looking tailgate table made for a JL. Quality materials quality made in the US. I paid too much for other products that didn’t meet my expectations . When I put a tailgate table on. It will be this table.
The cables aren’t the problem. The problem is that the goose gear table is $500. Five HUNDRED dollars! I’ll take my $89 (rock solid and quiet) table over that over engineered piece any day of the week.
There is NO contesting what things make you happy and the value based on price is dependent on the person making the purchase.
I try to provide insight into my decision making and considerations I make in the things I feel are valuable to me.
The best part of the Jeep world is that there are so many uses of the vehicles and the nature of the builds varies based on budget and need.
As far as over engineering, that's relative. A plank and 2 rocks is just fine for some, but if you want more or much more, it's good to know there are people out there engineering things beyond the average need.

I really like how clean the Goose Gear stuff is. Thinking about grabbing one of these today.
The fit and finish is one of the additional benefits beyond premium materials and design. You wont be unhappy
Dimensions would have been helpful. What is the depth in inches? Trying to determine if it can accommodate the blackstone 17” griddle without hanging over the edge.
It’s unfortunate that this is the only table i could find that entirely replaces the JL tailgate panel.
the quality appears great, but the price tag is far too high. only reason i considered this is because saving an extra inch or two is crucial for a 2 door JL.
More Premiun materials in the stainless steel and aluminum with design work and made in the USA come with a bigger price tag.
More than i spent on my dinning room table 😂

@@DesignXWorkshop must be nice to have all that money and then be able call what other people can afford pieces of shit....I'd rather own a piece of shit than be one...
Quality products with certain features to cater to a discerning audience can be cost prohibitive to many but many of the lower priced products require cutting plastics, drilling panels, and don't have the fit and finish while being 100% reversible. It's all about what you need and are willing to afford.

Doesn’t that block the vent?
Great observation, but the answer is no. The GOOSE portion of the Goose Gear logo in the backing plate is left hollow and does still allow for air to pass from the interior through the cutouts and through the vent.
No change in door closing is noted and you can even still see the rubber flap open as you close the tailgate shut.
