    how about the drive shaft? did you make a custom made one or can you use something else?

    Did you use the high Holley accessory drive or mid? I want to go with mid but I haven’t seen or read anyone using it.

      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used the high mount on this car with the truck balancer. The mid mount has similar dimensions to the truck balancer so it would fit.

    What did you guys do with the harness that was on the right side of the engine bay? (Located under the a/c box)
    I’m doing a 6.0 swap and I’m running the sniper and msd box and wanted to know if I could do away with all of those wires? I shaved my firewall and play on installing vintage ac as the summer approaches but wasn’t sure if I would need any of those wires.

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get rid of a lot of those wires. We typically cut down the factory harness to use only what we need. I can’t tell you exactly what we take out but we definitely clean it all up as much as possible

      Yes you will. I would recommend going with the Holley swap kit

    How did you do the wiring for the air conditioner using the Holley Terminator X?

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The AC functions independently from the Holley. We used the AC request wire as an input to kick on the fans and idle up.

    Do that 4l80e take a noticeable amount of power away compared to an 4l60e in the gbody? Trying to see should I keep my 4l60e or switch to 4l80e before I install it. I have an 79 2door Malibu 6.0 swap with 3.73 posi rear

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my opinion and power that would be taken away would be worth it in the end. The 4l60 is living on borrowed time even in a stock application.

    Have you guys done any LT G-body swaps? I can get an L86 and 8l90e for a decent price and was wondering about the differences in things needed between these new motors and the LS's for swaps.

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have. As far as getting it in the car thats easy. BRP makes mounts and headers that will drop it right in. One thing to consider is the LT will not have a power steering pump. So you have to either get the bracketry from someone like ICT Billet and adapt a pump to the engine or run an electric pump like one from a Volvo. The fuel system will work just fine with a Corvette regulator just like the LS swaps. Hope that helps!

    Maybe I'm getting old but l much prefer this Cutlass over a brand new Camaro SS like the gray color no vinyl top the only thing with these cars is the 7.5 rearend if you got a 8.5 rearend out of a 1984-1987 buick GN it comes with a much better 8.5 rearend probably could put in a Ford 8.8 out of a 1985-2004 mustang GT with the right offset wheels l think it could work it's close to the same length very nice car love G-bodies this one is sweet l am a big fan of Chevy LS engines the power reliability and durability surpasses the old style smallblock by any other manufacturers and equals the power of a bigblock in a lighter higher revving package have seen modified 6.0 and 6.2 liter engines on premium pump gas run with and many times out run modified 396 427 454. 496 502 bigblock Chevys running premium pump gas not to mention the LS will without a doubt last at least twice as long as these bigblock engines and in many cases the LS engine is giving up 20 to over 100 cubic inches to these bigblock Chevys
