Try bleeding all 4 wheels again , in my experience sometimes just bleeding the front wheels air still gets trapped. Just a tip . Ur gonna love it wen that obs is on the road 💪👍💯
Very clean smooth Elky you got, right there man! Does the cold air intake have a bung(I think that's what it's called) for the IAC sensor on back side of it? Cant wait until i get my 69 Chevelle on the road. I put a genIV truck engine in it. About ready to tag/insure it in a few days.
thank you! and yes it does, i hid it underneath the pipe, it’s a standard ax32t sensor and a dorman 42062 grommet. i forgot how big the hole is that i cut for it but it’s been working fine with my holley x max. that’ll be a sweet ride man!
I used the LSX innovations swap mount brackets had to buy a ict billet power steering and alternator bracket kit it wouldn’t clean the power steering box… my long tube headers give me a nightmare to install but got it going

No AC in Az is crazy. But nice build. My first car in high school was a 78 with a 3.6 lol but I’m pushing 40 and want another G body. Another El Camino or another IROCZ. LS swap for sure. 👍

Nice swap, but you can run the same power out of the 3.8 V6 Turbocharged especially if you use Grand National parts and a 12 Bolt main rear or Ford 9 inch rear.
@@blackgold1111 Unreliable? Are you stoned? The GN/TR 3.8 is a time-proven engine. But it would cost more to install than the LS, unless one just fell in his lap. And who was hating? The original guy was not well informed, but he wasn't hating.
i was using the gen 3 truck pan but it hangs down below the crossmember like 3-4 inches.. im using a holley 302-3 now, and the crossmember hangs lower than the oil pan
thanks sir! hell yes i do.. i used a 150$ amazon harness the first time around and it worked great too, just didnt have any gauges hooked up so i was driving blind😅 and i had to pay someone to tune it for me. but the xmax kit was just as easy to install and i had my friend help me set up the settings and tune it for free. i can change all my settings whenever i want, have all my gauges on one screen… ill put one in every ls swap i do now

what rear transmission mount did you use, and what sort of mods were required to the crossmember? Was the original trans a 700r4 or a 200-4r? What sort of trans cooler and lines did you go with? Is the trans stock or built? thanks for the vid, it all looks great.
thanks brother, its a 04 silverado 4l80 and trans mount, stock camino crossmember with a hole cut in the middle of the tube (i used the same mounting holes on both sides of the frame), ict billet 551124 trans fittings with 90 degree -6 push lock fittings with regular ol rubber trans cooler hoses that go over the headers and ziptied to the frame all the way up front to a hayden 11” cooler. temps usually see 170 driving the car normally
the lines go straight to the external cooler, its a hayden 679. mounted in front of the stock radiatior with that volvo fan im usially seeing trans temp chillin at 180
@@papergatorzfedducca7998 no problem, and yep factory 305 radiator! it even has a port on it that you can use for the ls steam port outlet. and no issues with anything hitting steering components other than my truck oil pan laying on the sway bar. but my blown out motor mounts may have caused that issue🤣
@@papergatorzfedducca7998 i mean you can…😬 i did for 5 months with no issue, then i lowered the car 2” on the stock 215/70r14s and kept cracking the oil pan open on every bump and jb welding the pan constantly. with those dingo mounts/blown out mount bushings, the pan hung down past the crossmember about 3.5”. i just installed the holley 302-3 and i highly recommend going that instead lol
sweet that’s pretty close to my setup in this video.. if you look at my other videos, i have a hotrod wheel/tire combo and it looks damn good😁 i’m running 15x8 0 offset in the rear, with a 1/4 spacer, wrapped in 275/60/15’s. and 15x7 0 offset in the front with 235/60/15’s! i had to clearance the rear fenders to avoid rubbing. wire wheels are also a great fit😉

thanks, at this time i had umi 2” lowering springs in the front, and 4 coils cut out of the rear springs… terrible idea, the bump stop on the chassis was laying on the axle and it tore up my rear brake line above the pumpkin
2 inch lowering springs in the front and some savagely cut rear springs😂 the bump stop on the body was laying on the rear axle haha, not sure if it hurt the rear end because it has been swapped

for a 4l80, i just drilled a hole on the top of the cross m. beam for the trans mount stud to fall into. then cut an access hole on the bottom of the cross m. to tighten the nut. for a 4l60, i had to weld a plate on the front or back (i can’t remember) of the cross m. using the same mounting holes on the frame
I have a 86 Buick Regal and I tried getting the engine swapped and I was quoted $30+ thousand and I still have to buy the engine and transmission you get it
I got quoted $5k, and he would provide engine and transmission. You can get an engine and a transmission for like $1200, so he is charging $3800 for labor. I don't think it's bad at all. I wish this guy was the one doing my swap. It looks clean.
well thats interesting, thats the part number i bought 3 years ago that was advertised for g body applications… there must have been other people with fitment issues as well, so they changed the description. i had to slightly hammer in one primary tube on the passenger side, and one or two on the driver side

Im still working on my ls swap obs... having trouble with spongy breaks after i changed the calipers(+bleeding them)
Try bleeding all 4 wheels again , in my experience sometimes just bleeding the front wheels air still gets trapped. Just a tip . Ur gonna love it wen that obs is on the road 💪👍💯

on the front of those fuel rails you can run a hollow banjo bolt setup to no have to modify the alt.

also the shift linkage hits the ear on the 4l80 housing you gotta trim that whole thing off if you use the same stuff i did

the truck pans fit, but hang 2 - 2 1/4” below crossmember.. unless you’re lifting the car on big wheels i would not do it

The Holley terminator part number is for a 5.7 not a 5.3

Did you have to do any modifications to the k member or did it just drop right in with no issues?
for a 4l80, i just drilled a hole on the top of the cross m. beam for the trans mount stud to fall into. then cut an access hole on the bottom of the cross m. to tighten the nut. for a 4l60, i had to weld a plate on the front or back (i can’t remember) of the cross m. using the same mounting holes on the frame
With the impala gas pedal, did you have to repin your wires or you just plug in right in?
plugged right into my holley harness, connector is straight 6 pin

I have a 86 Buick Regal and I tried getting the engine swapped and I was quoted $30+ thousand and I still have to buy the engine and transmission you get it
whew.. that’s a little too much for me😬 that regal better run 8s for that money haha

I got quoted $5k, and he would provide engine and transmission. You can get an engine and a transmission for like $1200, so he is charging $3800 for labor. I don't think it's bad at all. I wish this guy was the one doing my swap. It looks clean.

The part # for headers says c10. Did you have to modify anything to fit?
well thats interesting, thats the part number i bought 3 years ago that was advertised for g body applications… there must have been other people with fitment issues as well, so they changed the description. i had to slightly hammer in one primary tube on the passenger side, and one or two on the driver side
now with my dingo slider mounts set almost all the way back, there’s not much of a need to beat the headers up to fit haha
