There was once a time when there were just as many Sith as there were Jedi. But, the continuous infighting amongst them allowed the Jedi to eventually overpower them. Hence a powerful Sith named Darth Bane created the Rule of Two where there could only be two Sith in the entire galaxy.
The device the jedi used while swimming is called a rebreather. The woman with the red wig behind Jabba in the podrace scene is Amanda Lucas, Georges' daughter.
The "Re-Breather" was invented by MIchelle Meyrink in the movie "Real Genius" in 1985. This, of course, was after she was kicked out of the Omega Moos a year previously.
This movie was HUGE in 1999 and my kids LOVED it !! especially young anakin & jar jar, which was the point of the movie to get NEW YOUNG fans into sstar wars like the ones when i was a kid did There are whole generation of fans in their 30's that were 8-12 when it came out and it was a BIG HIT , AS george Lucas says "the movies are made for 12-year olds NOT 40-50 year olds ...who are just old and stubborn and cant get over the originals from the early 80's when THEY were kids
So the braid is a Padawan braid, the younger Jedi are Padawans, Obi-wan loses his once he becomes Anakin's master, also as you saw Anakin got one at the end himself. Anakin was conceived miraculously, and is the chosen one, despite him becoming Vader, he still fulfills the prophecy.
A few things to note here (without spoilers for what is to come).... Anakin is 9 years old and Queen Amidala/Padme is 14 years old here. When children are discovered to be Force Sensitive in the Republic and are taken to be trained as Jedi, it is usually at a very young age (4 years or younger), before they have formed attachments to their parents (long term, that is). Anakin being 9, he's much older than those typically accepted into the Jedi Order for training and already has a strong attachment to his mother. This is why Yoda (and others on the Jedi Council) felt that training Anakin would be dangerous. As you watch the next two movies, pay VERY close attention to the dialogue, as some subtle things are said that turn out to be extremely important. I say this without actual spoilers, however, when you get there, I'll point some of them out. You already know where this all leads, it's just the "how" that you don't know yet. There are also some very good "life lessons" contained within the Star Wars movies. I've seen the OT thousands of times, this trilogy hundreds of times, and the Sequel Trilogy dozens of times, each. Rogue One is a thing of it's own.... and I've already racked up over 100 viewings of that movie. It's an absolute BANGER! Something else, there are some animated TV shows that help fill in a lot of lore (The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, Tales of the Empire, and Rebels), as well as some live action shows (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and The Acolyte which pre-dates this movie by nearly 100 years) and all of them, animated and live action, are worth a watch at least once. 34:44 - While you only showed this for a brief second, did you notice that there was a senate booth floaty-thing that had 3 members of E.T.'s species in it? This was an Easter Egg that Lucas put in, because he and Spielberg are good friends. But also, if you've ever seen the movie "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial", (spoiler alert if you haven't) there's a scene where some children are walking E.T. around under a sheet on Halloween, and he spots a kid in a Yoda costume, points at this "Yoda" kid and says, "HOME! HOME! HOME!" which infers that he recognizes Yoda (the Jedi Order's "Grandmaster" at this point in time).
Thanks so much for the extra insight! I may have to check out the TV shows to help fill in the lore once I'm done with the movies, its wild how much content about this world there is out there!
@@EmmyReacts My pleasure. I was 10 years old when the original Star Wars hit theaters, and it changed my life. I had already read the novel (it released a bit before the movie), but those visual effects.... there were nothing like them at the time. I recommend tracking down one of the "Theatrical" releases that were upscaled for modern televisions/monitors. Project 4K is one, Harmy's DeSpecialized is another.... they can be downloaded from the net, and as long as you keep your Disney+ subscription (or own the original video tapes/DVDs) you shouldn't get in any legal trouble. The original versions CAN be found in charity shops (aside from my original purchases of them, I picked up extra copies when I found them) on either VHS or DVD. In fact, THIS movie was altered by adding a CGI Yoda to replace the rather disturbing looking puppet they used originally. I still have that on VHS. But, having delved into so much of the lore, and still finding things I missed 45 years ago... I try to help point out things to newer fans when I can. It's a hobby of mine, and something I enjoy doing. I'll do my best to comment on your videos as soon as they release (I have notifications on), but it might take me an hour or more to watch the video and type things out. I have a nerve condition that makes typing difficult, but I still love to do it. Also, there's a "Lucas Approved" movie that you should watch, called "Fanboys". It takes place in our world, in 1998, just prior to the release of this movie. It contains no spoilers for anything except the Original Trilogy, which you've already seen. I highly recommend it! I see very few channels react to it, but the ones that have absolutely love the movie. But, do NOT look up a trailer for it.... it contains a lot of spoilers. Maybe watch the trailer after the movie, in case you missed something.
The Jedi were duped into thinking that there was always a Master and Apprentice Sith but it's actually always two Masters there are. Palpatine couldn't have accomplished any of this without Jar Jar.
your doing a good job on videos and talking during the movie some people just sit and watch! But your interesting thank you keep up good work look forward to more
The phantom menace ; is Darth Sidious ! who is the single greatest representation of the Sith emerging from - thought (extinction) .. but Darth Sidious plan was to infiltrate the republic and create division which would ultimately effect the Jedi order, .. which was his primary target!! so in this movie Darth Sidious creates a trade dispute preventing access via trade routes to Naboo, however Ben Kenobi’s master Qui Gon realised there is no purpose in it, thus allowing the senate to focus on a way in which to settle the dispute!! and at the same time without being detected!!!allow Darth Sidious the necessary time to begin play for a place within the senate and then make way for his true mission …. eradicate the Jedi order …. The story continues
51:57 "And I'm very curious for clarification on the whole, like, mom situation and her saying that he didn't have a dad." Yes, George Lucas' idea for Darth Vader's origin was that Shmi Skywalker (Anakin's mom) was impregnated by the Force (a.k.a. midichlorians...a.k.a. microscopic bacteria) and thus Anakin Skywalker was born _sans_ a father.
who was Anakin's father--can't give you a clear answer without spoiling you, so I'll only give you a hint: episode 3, conversation between Anakin & the chancellor at the space opera--if you pay attention to details, you'll have a good hint there. About the pod race, yes everything is legal--you can kill, break pods, cheat--the only rule is to survive & win.
Great reaction! Thank you! Now you already know that the answers to your questions come each time you watch a new episode. I am sure you’ll like the next one too, but among the prequels I think that ep.3 will be your favorite … could be you’ll need to have some tissues at hand for that one. Just keep following the story itself, as it is the best approach for anyone watching Star Wars for the first time. Looking forward to your next reaction. Salutations from Romania …
What you're doing is watching them in the machete order or a variation thereof, you watch 456 then you watch 1 2 3, and as a flashback you watch the clone wars cartoon and then rebels. Then you can move on to the mandalorian and what not, you can ignore 789 LOL
Luke skywalker is my favorite cause he never joined the darkside and i love the lore behind his black clothing I’ve always wanted to be a Jedi ✌🏽💯 I’ve seen the force in real life on paranormal studies it’s real 🌌 May the force be with you Also my favorite actor is Hayden who plays anakin before they picked him I said I hope they pick Hayden to play anakin and they did so I predicted he’d get picked and he’s perfect for the role of anakin skywalker
"First three movies being 4, 5, and 6." Try this instead: "Original Trilogy." Then 1, 2, and 3 are the "Prequel Trilogy." Then 7, 8, 9 can be called "Sequel Trilogy" or as most fans call them: "Hot Garbage." And I'm not a Disney hating fan. I love the Acolyte, etc. But those 3 movies were plain old wrong.
Haha! I was reading about him after watching the movie and had no idea about all the controversy surrounding the character!! I can totally understand it though
It's amazing how crap the prequels look compared to the originals even the unremastered. It's like prequels were shot on an iPhone and the originals on Android.
Remember " Return of the Jedi" it was Vader who destroyed the emperor thus bringing peace. The chosen one.
Yes you are totally right! I thought about it more after watching it too/when I was editing and realized that and that I was wrong 😂
@@EmmyReacts we really enjoy rewatching w you. Keep it up.👍💯
It was Anakin not Vader
Remember that it was Anakin, not Luke, who eventually killed the emperor.

Anakin was a Virgin Birth instigated by the Force, as a response to Darth Plagueis's attempt at creating life.
A New Hope came out in 1977, The Empire Strikes Back came out in 1980, The Return of The Jedi came out in 1983, and this movie came out in 1999
My dad is a huge fan of darth maul, when he first saw the phantom menace.
Trivia: Kiera Knightly played Queen Amidala's body double who was killed in the explosion! One of her first roles.
Keira not Kiera
@@Axechucker Well spoiler for Ep.2. Also it wasn’t the same character.
yes, Anakin had no father. His birth was from the force itself. he's like Jesus of that universe.
I don't think Liam Niesson helped him win the race. Anakin used the Force himself. The race mirrors the Death Star race in Episode 4.
The braid is traditional for Padawan learners
That’s right.
Anakin Skywalker is the child of the force
Anakin is the chosen one
No Emmy, Ani constructed C-3PO.
Yes yes I know, but you will understand my certain point of view. ;)
Oh and he built him as a droid for his mom, so of course he left 3PO behind
47:58 Yes, Qui- Quon is really quite gone. 😁

Where’s stars wars episode 4 a new hope it’s not on your channel you only got episodes 5 6 and 1
I did a mini rewatch of Episode 4 in my Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back video since I had already seen that one!
