Don't feel bad about your assumptions being wrong. Clone Troopers are not Stormtroopers. Clone troops are made from the DNA of Jango Fett, which is why they look like him. Stormtroopers are the military arm of the Galactic Empire and attend the Imperial Academy. Their armor is similar, but different.
Yes, episode 1 is the most hated of all, but I understand the logic behind it: Lucas wanted to show what his world looked like before the Empire, and show the failures of the galactic republic that leads to the rise of the Empire, so there is more politics in it, annoying for many people, but it makes George Lucas world of SW so much more realistic. About your many questions, I could answer them all, but I would spoil you & I don't want to do that, so I'll only answer you this: watch episide 3, every answer will be there, if you have more, I'll answer once you watched all 6 movies (no spoilers left). The way Anakin comes on strong is not unrealistic for a 20-year old who was raised by a group of people who don't allow relationships. It typically takes guys some abysmal failures to get skilled at flirting. What bothers me more is that she is not only older than him but probably quite mature for her age given her background. I find it a stretch that she would pursue anything with him acting like that. But then again maybe she realizes that about him and is trying to give him a chance. He is also pretty attractive. Some female reactors find him much more repulsive than others it seems. The way they are portrayed in the Cartoon series The Clone Wars is really interesting.

Enjoying your Star Wars reactions, and good luck keeping all the family connections straight all of the time. By the way, the actor who played Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus was the late Sir Christopher Lee, a tall man with an amazing voice. A first cousin of James Bond author, Ian Fleming, the actor appeared in more movies than anybody else ever. He played a villain in the Bond film, The Man With the Golden Gun. And he was the wizard, Saruman the White, in both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie trilogies. He played Compte de Rochefort in The Three Musketeers and The Four Musketeers (1973-1974), a pair of great and clever swashbuckler films (in my opinion). He was Dracula 10 times, and even Sherlock Holmes three times in films. An amazing career!
Anakin Skywalker IS the "chosen one." From a young age, he was held by a different standard from the rest of the padawans, mostly predicated by his advanced abilities. The prophecy wasn't introduced by George Lucas until the prequels and it is a very controversial topic to this day. These are clones, whose DNA was taken from the bounty hunter Jango Fett. In Episodes 4, 5 & 6, those are actual human stormtroopers recruited by the Empire. Keep the reactions coming! 🙌😊
Probably down somewhere already, but, not only is Palpatine the Emperor, the actor who plays him is the same one who played him in Return of the Jedi. Then, Ian McDiarmid was much younger than the character he plays, now he's basically the correct age.
Anakin has an inflated ego because for the last 10 years he's been raised being told he's the chosen one and will bring balance and other padawans are always either jealous or hyping him up
The Clone Wars show is essential if you want the full Star Wars story wether you react to it or just watch. Takes place between ep 2 & 3 and really helps you understand the choices Anakin makes in ep 3 & makes the prequels better in every way by adding much needed context. George Lucas was directly involved for nearly every episode and it was the last thing in the SW universe that he made before selling it to Disney. Starts off a little slow the first 2 seasons but it has some of the best moments in the whole franchise. People are turned off at first bc it’s animated and initially was made for kids, but by the end of season 2 things get dark quick
Stormtroopers aren't Clone troopers, they are different. However, Clone troopers are the predecessors to the Stormtroopers, which are normal people that enlist willingly to the Empire's army.
52:25 yea the first initial wave, and then later on after the destruction of Kamino the empire opens the imperial acadamy and invites anyone to enlist.

The emperor did order the creation of the clone army but he isn’t Sifo Dyas. Sifo Dyas was killed by the emperor and dooku and then they stole his identity to order this army and not raise suspicion. They ordered it for the republic for (at the moment) unknown reasons.
I suspect part of the issue with with episode 1 is that it was a victim of its own hype. Back in 1999 in the leadup to its release the marketing was everywhere to an almost absurd degree. The commercials alone were flat out bizarre and at one point actually outed the entire plot of the movie in a 30 second clip for pepsi collector cans that was basically a CGI alien that was obsessed with pepsi and star wars explaining the plot of the movie by acting it out with pepsi cans and doing bad VO's to some bored out of her mind woman on a date. Look up the marfalump commercials and you'll see what I mean. But yeah, people saw the effort put into hyping it up and expected it to be an amazing movie, and then what they actually got was mediocre at best. Notice they didn't go all out to the same degree on episode 2 and 3 marketing
New person here. I would say definitely watch the Clone wars Series. It something you have to watch as it really does help fill in the gaps. The series will just enhance everything for you.
28:30 Yes, some negativity towards the Prequels was caused by the way the romantic line had been handled: poor writing etc. George Lucas is a genius creator of worlds, but not necessarily a brilliant writer. You should forgive him for that. The story is awesome anyway.
Not sure if anyone else already explained and I cba reading all the comments but regarding the "chosen one" prophacy, it holds true. Despite him falling to the dark side and becoming Vader. In the end, he is the one who kills the Emperor (to save Luke) in Return of the Jedi.
On the one hand, Anakin DID take it too far with the Tuskens, on the other, he wasn't even entirely aware of his own actions at the time, so every moving thing ended up becoming a target. He didn't MEAN to take it THAT far, it just sort of happened.
the good side of our Star Wars community will have nothing against liking or disliking one or the other film. We just like to enjoy some pew pew swush swoom

They are not Imperial Stormtroopers. They are Republic Clone Troopers. Imperial Stormtroopers were not clones but they were conscription military. So regular human conscripts in empire. .
Fun fact the clones are in fact not stormtroopers and instead are clones of Jango Fet/the bounty hunter but they all have their own personalities. Afrter you finish the prequels id recommend watching the clone wars series it explains and expands on everything in the trilogy 👍🏽
@@callofdutyguy9 One could argue that to be sure, it is nevertheless what happened. It is seen in the show Bad Batch set in the period. It was felt that the clones were too expensive compared to the nearly limitless supply of recruits that could be gathered from within the Empire. It also meant that the Empire was not dependent on Kamino, which had achieved a seat in the Senate, because it could leverage its position as sole suppliers of the Clone army. The Empire did not want such leverage against it and decided to discontinue its dependency on Kamino. Anyway, the decision to make a fairly quick transition makes sense given the scale that was to be achieved and the brief lifespan of the clones. There were likely other reasons, for example, distrust in the clones, who had after all been and arm of the Republic and worked with the Jedi.
There's the making of .. These first 6 films on TH-cam. It's so interesting to see how they were made and would make for a good reaction. The first three films were all puppets and practical effects. and the prequals are mostly CGI and green screen.
The Phantom Menace alone has more practical effects than the original three combined. You'd be surprised at the number of models created for these films, from the geonesian coliseum, Utapau or the lava on Mustafar 😱
⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠The most obvious PLOT HOLE is: anakin had 10 years to buy back his mother or to free her differently. Why didn`t the Jedi help him, what kind of monsters are they? Why is he not rescuing her after he even have nightmares? Anakin saved Naboo, anakin has a high position in the Jedi Order, why oh why didn`t they save her? I mean at least they have SALARIES, could`t Anakin save up some money to buy his mom back? The answer is - biggest plot hole.
You'll have your anwsers in the next movie, about why there are no Jedi in the Original Trilogy and about the Emperor's true identity. (we didn't have that surprise back then because the merchandizing was calling the Emperor by his real name ! Padmé and Anakin had deleted scenes at her parents house. In her bedroom she keeps memorabilia of her time in politics school. Many of which are souvernirs from her humanitarian campaigns. She's in for lost causes essentially and she pretty much pities Anakin a lot. Anakin on the other hand is mother deprived, codependant and a complete noob in terms of romantic courtship. He's too intense, obsessive, manipulative and toxic even. The Jedi do not do well in psychology, they don't really help him. Just as a reminder, not all Sith Lords come from the Jedi, some of them discover the Dark Side on their own or are sought after by other Sith looking for a Sith Apprentice. That makes them difficult to spot for the Jedi... On the other hand, some Jedi become corrupt or disinterested in the Jedi Ways and fall to the Dark Side. The Empire's Stormtroopers were not clones. The Empire dropped the clones at the end of the war in favor for regular conscripts. Clones are expansive and don't live long and were overly competent for just peace keeping duties. Owen and Beru are Luke's Uncle and Aunt. Anakin feeling his mother's suffering is no coincidence. Jedi usually hate that kind of visions because they are often linked to the Dark Side. Remember that scene in the Tusken camp for the next movie. The best way to disguise your plans is to make them so obvious that the other side wouldn't believe in it in the first place. Lying with the truth. At the same time, as any worthy Sith Lord, Dooku, tries to hire his own Apprentice to take over his Master, as per the Sith Rule of Two.
So after these 3, before you start the Disney 3, you have to watch the Obi Wan Kenobi series ... Then your have to watch the fan film "Before the Dark Times" and "Obi Wan has PTSD"... Both videos superbly fill in the blanks of Ben Kenobi talking to Luke when they meet in the first film. (Episode IV)
41:34 - Dooku tried to get Obi-Wan as ally to overthrow Palpatine and became "main" sith lord. But he still must obey his master (Emperor/Sidious) and follow with his "Clone war" plan. Vader tried the same with Luke on Bespine: "Rule the galaxy as father and son".
Darth Sidious was never a Jedi, he was only a Sith unlike Count Dooku aka Darth Tyranus and Darth Vader along with other siths. The Clone Troopers and Storm Troopers are not the same. Storm Troopers are normal people in armor, the Clones are Clones. And yes Abby, you are correct that Chancellor Palpatine is Emporer Palpatine. You figured it out so it's not a spoiler to confirm that. He is actually revealed to be Darth Sideous in Episode I at Qui Gon's funeral. When Yoda and Mace are talking about Darth Maul they say there is always 2, a Master and Apprentice. The camera then pans over the Chancellor. Yes you should dress up like Padme, you do actually kinda look like Natalie Portman.
The Clones were the stormtroopers at first, but quickly after starting The Clone Wars show George Lucas changed his mind. The change from clones to stormtroopers is explained in the later seasons of the Bad Batch show
It's so nice to watch reactions with a Intelligent, beautiful, interesting, fun person. I love your accent. Looking forward to watching more of your reactions.
Its funny to watch young people see these for the first time in release order because older people that were kids during the original 3 knew who the emperor was coming into these movies. We learned through comic books where Lucas gave the names and a bit of the story to people who were writing. In the end as you get older and study writing and literature you realize how badly the story of Episodes 1-6 are put together but are still very enjoyable. Lucas could tell a fun story but he was not a good story writer. In the end it all comes together but things will not connect well. That is why we say these are meant for kids. A child from 7 to 16 will not see how badly the writing is but just enjoy the story. Lucas had a habit of changing things while filming so nothing really goes together well. The Clone Troopers are something that was put together as he was writing this and doing the Clone Wars cartoons. They are not Storm Troopers but between the movies and the cartoons you learn what they are. As the Empire rises the Storm Troopers are not clones anymore but just people in suits. In the end the dark lord of the Sith is manipulating everything and thus we get these stories. Lucas made fun movies but a writing genus he is not.

Count Dooku might have chopped any limb to Obi Wan, but instead he only hurted him. Although Cound Dooku was in the dark side, he loved so much his death apprentice Qui Gon Jinn. And thinking on him, he didn´t want to hurt more than necessary to Qui Gonn´s apprentice.
So why was he about to kill him moments later then? Anakin saved Obi-Wans life...
@@Sandlund93because he knew Yoda would save them anyway. He just needed a distraction to flee.
@@Sandlund93 He knew about the "anticipation power" of Anakin to save his master. Besides, he also knew that Yoda would be right there.

@@kosmodome47 I don't think he cared whether they survived or not. He was a Sith Lord, after all. And I'm talking about his duel with Obi-Wan, where he tried to kill Obi-Wan with a strike. Anakin's block, after Force jumping, is the only thing that saves him.
"He must have an advantage for being small"
You got that right! When Yoda and Darth Vader (Along with Starkiller from The Force Unleashed game) were added as guest fighters to Soul Calibur IV, Yoda was notoriously annoying to fight because the game's mechanical design made it super difficult to hit such a short character. To no one's surprise, he'd be banned from tournaments.
46:08 Sam Jackson asked for a purple lightsaber. Lucas made that exception only for him :)
Great reaction! If you would like to know more about the lore between this movie and episode 3 (even Star Wars in general) you should watch the clone wars show. It’s starts off slow but ends up being one of the best things about Star Wars.
@@tski98 thank you! And yeah I’m planning on checking it out 😊
Don't feel bad about your assumptions being wrong.
Have a nice day.
6:32 assuming you’re correct… isn’t it amazing that he was in a room with half a dozen of the Jedi’s finest and is as bold as to outright ask the GRANDMASTER Yoda “do you see war coming?” And Yoda says… idk. IF he was the dark lord, wouldn’t that be the most disrespectful checkmate on the Jedi… assuming that’s him.
He really had them fooled 😂

Dear Abby, there is a movie called The Legend (from 1985) which was very special.
Many people don´t catch it, but Yoda "failed" in the fight with Dooku, because his duty was to finish him, instead of saving Obi Wan and Anakin.
@domingocurbelomorales8635 Nah, Yoda had him on the ropes for sure. If Dooku hadn't pulled the cheap trick to distract Yoda by killing Ani and Obi-Wan, Yoda probably would've ended the fight no problem.
@@blueroninstudioswhat was Yoda going to do to Dooku? Yoda doesn't have handcuffs on him so would he kill Dooku? We saw obi wan kill not arrest Darth maul. Would Dooku get a trial for his crimes or would Yoda kill him?
@@Thed538dhsk The Jedi would have wanted information out of Dooku. It would have been way smarter to arrest him. But he wouldn't have given them anything.
So the only difference would be that the war would go on for way longer, as Sheevy would have needed a replacement to do the legwork. Freeing Dooku from custody would have caused too much suspicion, he would have been jailed. And would have been branded as a Jedi during Order 66, to tie up loose ends.
@@Sandlund93 but again HOW would Yoda even detain Dooku? Was the goal to actually stab and kill Dooku because Yoda and the Jedi in the prequel films have no restraints or handcuffs
@@Thed538dhsk Well, he could have sliced off his hands. I bet that would have ended the duel.
As soon as Dooku no longer posed any threat, all they had to do was to wait for Clone reinforcements. The ones who even showed up at the end of the duel.
Yes I did recognise him, just couldn’t remember his name!
You have a long star wars journey young padawan 😝

“That’s what you get for being a twat” 😂 I’ve said this about so many film characters over the years!
Probably down somewhere already, but, not only is Palpatine the Emperor, the actor who plays him is the same one who played him in Return of the Jedi. Then, Ian McDiarmid was much younger than the character he plays, now he's basically the correct age.
Anakin has an inflated ego because for the last 10 years he's been raised being told he's the chosen one and will bring balance and other padawans are always either jealous or hyping him up
Really good star wars movie 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Also, gives A LOT more depth to the Clones - like actualy personalities and makes them way more distinct than just "oh, prequal storm troopers"
There are so many damn episodes though 😅I own the DVD but never found the time to watch them
Stormtroopers aren't Clone troopers, they are different. However, Clone troopers are the predecessors to the Stormtroopers, which are normal people that enlist willingly to the Empire's army.
52:25 yea the first initial wave, and then later on after the destruction of Kamino the empire opens the imperial acadamy and invites anyone to enlist.
Yoda looks like an ancient grandpa-monk, but he is actually the top general of the Republic...
when u really love someone and want union with , it s never too fast because u ll quickly realize u ll never have enough time to spend with... time is a luxe and never come back , the years u wait are loosed... i speak for true and sincerely love of course ... be happy with someone and knowing time will take him from u one day ... u blind your eyes and 10 years have passed...
You know some people trash on the Prequels but I love them they are way better than whatever Disney is trying to do these days.
These are clone troopers not storm troopers… clone troopers a created for battle, storm troopers are just normal people who decided to join the empire
the good side of our Star Wars community will have nothing against liking or disliking one or the other film.
We just like to enjoy some pew pew swush swoom

To be fair to The Phantom Menace, George Lucas did say these are films for children. These are films made for children according to George Lucas
Nice reaction! A lot of online people hate on the film, but I've always liked the mystery subplot, McGregor's witty portrayal of Obi-Wan and the amazing Across the Stars (love) theme. And if you thought it was intense, just wait until you see Episode III, which I hope will be a real emotional rollercoaster for you!
21:10 They say, Yoda was created after the image of the Dalai-Lama :)
I always find it funny that even when it is quite obvious that Palpatine is the emperor, people should quess it practically even without seeing him. He is the chancellor, the ruler of the republic! Of course the next step in the political career is the emperor

I love your facial expressions during Anakin’ cringe dialogue as you realize that the little boy from Episode 1 became a creepy teen stalker 😂

I’m confused about the “stalker” because he does no such thing in this movie. Creepy sure, but no way “stalker”
@@YourMarvelFan True, Anakin didn’t stalk her but he was definitely giving off stalker vibes. The entire romance story was weird - he was just a little boy when he met her and somehow became infatuated . Most boys that age have about a 3 hour attention span at most lol

They are not Imperial Stormtroopers. They are Republic Clone Troopers. Imperial Stormtroopers were not clones but they were conscription
military. So regular human conscripts in empire.

The first stormtroopers were the clones.
Clone Troopers are not the same as Storm troopers, these are different people
I'm excited for Abby to watch the Lord of the Rings series (extended of course)
Get ready for Revenge of the Sith. It’s a dark movie and the best of the entire trilogy.
Fun fact the clones are in fact not stormtroopers and instead are clones of Jango Fet/the bounty hunter but they all have their own personalities. Afrter you finish the prequels id recommend watching the clone wars series it explains and expands on everything in the trilogy 👍🏽
Anikan is 9 in The Phantom Menace. 19 in Attack of The Clones and 22 in Revenge of the Sith
The storm troopers are conscripts from around the Empire. The clones are phased out by storm troopers in the early period of the Empire.
That is bad logic. Why would the empire perfectly retire millions of good clones “early” during the empire. The Clone Wars only lasted 3 years.

You'd be surprised at the number of models created for these films, from the geonesian coliseum, Utapau or the lava on Mustafar 😱
yoda trained in form 4 which is a lightsaber fighting style that only yoda could really master due to his small size
You have to watch Episode III. It’s such a good emotional movie.
Stormtroopers and clones are different
its about time .... enjoy every sec on star wars .

He has learned how to utilize the force to make his true form and hide his true countenance and so up until the time when Mace and the other Masters go to arrest him in the next movie do we see what he really should've looked like all along. Anakin had to be "obsessed" with Padmé, because there has to be a marriage... For Luke and Leia to be born.
He is separated from his mother when he is only 10 years old. He spent the previous years as a slave. His father figure dies. He is left in the care of a mentor who only takes him in because he made a promise to his master. The Jedi he admired reject him. All the children in the temple look at him like he is a weirdo. His life is that of a monk, training, meditation and solitude. And the only nice memory he has, that he can hold on to, is that girl from Naboo, so cute and friendly... Who could have imagined that he would end up obsessed with her 😮💨
