Best thing I ever did was reading the book Woman’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, after applying the knowledge I got from the book I feel like the cellulite is magically disappearing from my body
the second you said “my tip for exercise is finding a form of movement you enjoy” I immediately gave the video a like. Appreciate this thought process so much!!
I truly appreciate that you explain how it took you 16 months and a lot of reshaping mentally to get to this point. I gave birth to my daughter 3 years ago and I have only gained and gained more weight. I always felt like something like this would be too hard to get back, but seeing how much you’ve improved and how patient you were helped remind me to be kinder to myself. Always appreciate your content, out of so many people on social media you’ve always had a more solid and humble foundation.
Aww I can't believe your daughter is three now! It's never too late to start working on getting gently back into shape. Slow and steady wins the race! x
I burst into tears when you said “And this is me now, after 16 months”. I’ve just a total of 53 pounds over the course of a few years. However, I noticed the past year that it took me 12 or so months to lose 20 pounds, and all this time I’ve had in my head that I could, and should, be losing faster, and that something is wrong with me (like my PCOS or hypothyroidism) because I haven’t. Thank you for validating me, and thank you for being out here teaching all of us about healthy and sustainable weight loss.
thank you jenn for sharing your journey with us! when you mentioned that it took 16 months, i was impressed with the long journey. most people talk about 3, 6, 8 months, or a year - but i felt that this was more realistic and that long term goals can make a difference
I’ve lost 11kg which is 24lb since I gave a birth to my second baby. I did not exercise at all. I just tried really hard to eat healthy and eat less. I also quit drinking. It’s hard. I know it’s really hard. But you think about it, it’s also easy to control yourself than controlling others!
I've been following you for a literal decade at this point, and we somehow both became mums about a year apart :) It has been so much fun and so helpful watching you grow through all of these changes a few steps ahead of me, and I can't say how motivated this video made me feel. We just stopped breastfeeding about a month ago and I'm SO READY to get strong again.
Uggggh you're so freaking inspiring. I've never seen a video of post partum weightloss like this. They always focus on how they look. And how fast after pregnancy they did it. Without concern for themselves or baby if they were breastfeeding. You have such a glow, a beautiful "bounce back" (I hate that saying) let's call it a beautiful come back into yourself. You've had a beautiful come back into your self ✨️. You've inspired me and my breastfeeding journey has been over for a long while now, my first born is now 7 but it only seems fair to get myself back.
The timing is so perfect! I’ve just started my weight loss journey and been trying to find a balance, found so much useful info in your video! Thanks ❤
Reminder that what worked for her may not work for you. As a future registered dietitian currently getting a masters (having taken plenty of science courses/chemistry) in dietetics this may not work for you bc it’s more than just calories in and calories out. There are other factors such as exercise, genetics, socioeconomic status and environment. I will say “adding” is way better than taking away for sure. No need to shame yourself and yes carbs, proteins and fats are great!
I’m a registered dietitian and fully agree with what you said! Also there’s nothing wrong with processed foods! There’s also a new study that came out by the journal of American heart association saying that time restricted eating as a strategy for long term weight loss was not supported. Intermittent fasting is a form of diet in my opinion
Almost twelve months postpartum and still working on getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Thanks for being open about how long it can take and for being gentle with yourself - it makes me feel like I have “permission” to be gentle with myself too. ❤
This video and tips are gold. I wish there was more content and people talking about weight this way when I was younger. But don’t we all! Haha. I genuinely enjoy and felt so calm watching this video and even enlightened. I have found my journey with weight loss to be simpler with changes just like these abs I’m so happy you put this out there. Genuinely girl you are a saving grace on TH-cam ❤
It’s crazy to see how different everyone’s body is. I struggle with low blood sugar levels if i fast. I started losing weight when I didn’t fast and never skipped meals. It’s awesome to find what works for you and what is the most beneficial for your body
Hi Jenn! just want to say thank you for talking about this. Body image is something I have been struggling with and hated my body/mind for it. This really encouraged me to keep going on my health & fitness journey 😭
Thanks Jenn! And to other people here complaining: Even if she is sponsored by a company that does not take away the good messages she is sending out in terms of how to loose weight. I agree with all her advice. (Just make sure to wait at least a year after you gave birth to a child because the whole lower body organs need to recover before you can do normal exercise again!). I also lost fat and gained more muscle (I actually weigh nearly the same but changed my body composition) and this took at least one year. So I did not pressure myself to loose fat fast but instead tried to not overeat (no calorie count) and in general more healthier (more protein, more fiber, more water, more vegetables, nearly no sugar) and only two meals per day without snacking + exercise (HIIT and weight training about 1-3x per week). It is hard at the beginning but gets better if u stay consistent. Wish everyone luck on becoming more healthier (it is not about beauty here but instead just getting healthier - our body is made by ~70% water but the half of our solid content is muscle tissue - so use them and move! evolution did not make this body composition without any purpose :) And as all fitness gurus say: a bad diet cannot be compensated by exercise. So take care of both. 80% is about how you eat and 20% is exercise to either maintain muscle tissue or at least increase it.
One thing to also keep in mind with using TDEE as a basis. It changes depending on your activity levels. Make sure you do NOT starve as it will greatly impact your metabolism. Ideally, for a more sustainable lifestyle, you would want to only focus on working out (mainly building muscle since it requires and burns more calories) and eat healthier instead of focusing on your calorie intake
Thank you for being truthful with the journey and time and the entire process. So, that this isn’t just a “I did THIS” “I did THAT” “these simple CHANGES” no it took time and identifying patterns and figuring out current better ones. It’s be wonderful to grow with you
I do want to mentioned that for all estrogen-based bodies w/ uteruses (biological females) that it is SO important that we are moving along with our bodies and cycle and supporting them Most of us know of the Circadian Rhythm, which is our 24-hour internal clock that governs our wake/sleep cycle and our digestion. We know through extensive research that we have to take care of it and make lifestyle choices that support it for our wellbeing. This internal clock is universal across all humans, but there is another one that is exclusive only to biological females. The infradian Rhythm. The infradian rhythm is essentially the (roughly) 28-32 day cycle that governs all of our female hormones. It is broken down into 4 inner seasons -roughly each one week long- known as Follicular, Ovulation, Luteal, and Menstruation. Each one of these seasons brings an onset of characteristics and hormone patterns. This internal clock repeats every single month, endlessly, until we reach menopause. It affects our thought-processes, our decisions, our metabolism, our sleep, our energy levels, even our social battery. Considering this, during different phases, our body processes food differently and has different requirements. For example, Follicular (inner spring) is right after menstruation. Our energy is going back up, estrogen is being produced. Its recommended to eat foods that support our estrogen production, as well as our estrogen & gut microbiome. This is the best time to include fermented foods w probiotics and sprouts (among many others). When we shift into Ovulation (inner summer), testosterone peaks within us. We have the most fuel, the most energy, our social battery is peaking. We can process raw foods the best at this time and do not need nearly as many complex-carbs for fuel (as we are sustaining ourselves really well at this time). We can do the most intensive workouts at this time. But as we shift into Luteal (inner fall, typically the longest phase) our energy starts to dwindle. This phase is split into two halves. In the first half, we will have stored energy from Ovulation. We can still take on more laborious work/exercise and wrap up whatever we need to get done. But as the second half hits, our hormones plunge and cause us to really slow down. We will be more sleepy, and need to use food to fuel us. This is when your body will really crave complex-carbs. This is typically known as the "PMS" week. Cravings, less energy, acne, etc. And then we have Menstruation (inner winter). All of our energy draws inward. We need the most protein and foods rich with iron at this time. We have the least amount of energy and need REST. We cannot do laborious work or exercise in the same frequency as we do in Follicular or Ovulation. The reason I am writing this ridiculously long comment is because I am (1) dedicated to women's holistic health education AND (2) because of the first portion of your video. I suspect that the reason your previous dieting habits failed was because you were not supporting your body's natural rhythm. While eating and exercising like that most certainly works in our Follicular and Ovulation phase, it does not support us in Luteal and Menstruation. Our Infradian Rhythm is never spoken about. Not discussed in sex ed, in mainstream media, not even by medical practitioners. Many diets, exercise regimens, medications, etc are tested on either Males (who do not run on this internal clock) and/or post-menopausal women. This truly makes all the difference, especially when we are not being educated on how our bodies function, and health and wellness influencers aren't talking about it either.
your communication skills are amazing, something about the way you communicate information just makes my brain absorb it all lolol. You helped me reframe my relationship with food in a more efficient way.
Thank you for sharing this video with us! From my own perspective, I began to lose weight the minute I started not fixating on it. I've spent the majority of my life stressing about the numbers on the scale, but as soon as I decided to start eating intuitively and not stressing about counting calories, intermittent fasting windows, etc. I noticed the weight start to come off. Stress causes cortisol levels to increase, which does cause (particularly women) to gain or keep weight on. Like you said, it's important to fuel your body with whole foods and engage in movement that you enjoy everyday, but it's also important to indulge every so often and enjoy the foods you love!
This video came at the perfect time - I've been looking into holistic medicine and will likely be changing be changing my diet. I was already feel a bit sad about it, thinking I'd have to cut out things I enjoy - seeing your vibrant, fresh foods reminds me that it doesn't need be boring and how I'm showing my body I care in how I'm fueling it
Jenn, your videos are always helpful with research. I’m so glad you talked about your pregnancy weight and how it connects to your mental health as well! Also, I love your makeup and hair! 💖🥹🫶🏼
I wanna thank you Jenn, bc weight loss has always been so harsh for me. But listening to your tips, makes me wanna give it a try again. Thank you, big hug for you ❤️
One of the first videos of yours I watched was from 10 years ago and your mindset around eating has matured so much. Your tips back then were helpful at the time and your latest tips are more sustainable and healthier for my needs now. I truly appreciate your sharing, especially the comment on adding more whole foods rather than refraining from eating indulgent foods (it's even confirmed by research!). Thanks for sharing your journey with us! 💗🌼
Jenn, your video helps me so much! It’s been a little bit over a week and i’ve lost 2.8kg (unbelievable) while eating the food i like! i think rather than actually burning my existing fat, eating consciously and packing my own lunch this past week might have helped with my bloating, hence the significant weight loss. i dont expect this kind of weight loss to continue, but i hope i still reach my goal. bc im really not miserable (even if i have to weigh all the food i prepare, which i dont find to be an issue). thanks again jen!
JENNN! So proud of you for losing 20lbs in such a healthy way. You look so healthy and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your tips! And btw, I LOVEEEEE your make-up in this video. You look so stunning!
Love this holistic approach to weight loss and the last message of slow and steady wins the race. The only thing I would add to your video as I know you have lots of young women viewers is that weight is not supposed to be linear and neither is life! Even if you do lose weight steadily and hit your goal weight something may happen in your life late where you may gain weight and that's TOTALLY okay too. As long as you keep making healthy choices as much as possible and be aware when your weight gain gets too high.
Such a good video. When I was in high school years ago I followed you and remember you releasing a video about how you lost 10lb in a year. Even then you were a healthy example to look up to. All healthy dieting and real changes in your mind and body, your habits, lifestyle are going to take time. Those crash diets and constant criticism of your appearance (even when at your lowest weight! I relate there) can only lead you to more unhealthy spiraling. And it’s okay if you’re at a point that feels too hard to come back from, it’s okay if it’s daunting, you can still choose the best way for your mental and physical health.
This is straight up my fav video you ever put out. Im on the same journey and i feel like in rushing the process and restricting myself to much. But hearing your journey put me back to understanding how gentle i have to be and patient. Thank you!
This has probably been the best advice to realistically lose the weight and I’m so thankful someone is telling the truth about long term weight loss rather than crash diets! ThankYou! ❤
Love these tips and I love that there is a great example (you) for people looking to lose weight to follow for slow and sustainable weight loss. So much is about 'how to lose 1kg a week' or losing weight as quick as possible. As a population, we do not appreciate patience, slow and steady as much - we want quick results. I done yo-yo dieting for a few years and gained most of it back. Now I'm learning to take it slow - our methods are very similar. I've lost only a little bit this month, but the big win is that I feel so much more healthy: I'm sleeping better, less stressed, more vitality. I rarely feel like emotional eating, whereas I did that ALL THE TIME. Cooking brunch for myself most days is so fun and like a daily treat: I love brunch so much! It beats obsessing over calories anyday for me. For anyone looking for more tips on slow and non-restrictive based weight loss - resources that have helped me: Sohee fit (on YT), Dr Rangan Chatterjee (podcast, and book lose weight feel great).
Love love all the things mentioned in this video!! I honestly can say I have a better view of dieting and finding what works for me!! Slow and steady wins the race!!! Thank you Jenn! ❤
This video is just one example on how much your content has grown!! It’s thoughtful, healthy and I love the inclusion of mental health in this space. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Jen, I just wanted to drop in and say how much I love watching your videos. Your videos are truly wholesome and I always learn a thing or two from them. Your book recommendations are bomb and they got me out of a 5-year reading slump. You are a few years younger than me but your words are wise beyond years. The way you talk about life, therapy, reflection, relationships is simply beautiful. Thank you for making meaningful content. Love from India
The way you explained all of your pin points were so gentle yet informative. Thank you for making such a loving and realistic video. I have to say that I was nodding my head literally all throughout it and couldn't believe there are actual terms to some of the behaviors that we tend to do when dieting! You're too relatable and raw, love you Jenn!! Thanks again, BTW you look strong and healthy, wohooo!! :)
I'm ngl; I was a bit nervous when I read the title. But Jenn, you put it perfectly. This is the most relatable and healthy approach. My only comment would be not to demonize "unhealthy" foods, either. "Naughty" food is also just food. So I'd apply the same mentality you had regarding "abundance over scarcity" and add something more nutritious to the meal. But you're always so inspiring, and I love your content!♥
Hi, Jenn!🥰 I was just about to start exercising and searching for a video to get motivated. So this is a perfect video for me! I've been a huge fan of you since 2014 ❤️from Japan ❤️
I resonated with SO much in this video, it’s ridiculous! Lol the f***-it lever, the all or nothing mentality… the realness is appreciated. 🙌🏽 Here’s to all of us attempting to be the healthiest version of ourselves. 🧡
yess👏🏼 i think healing one’s relationship with food is important. there’s no “demon” foods. everything in moderation so you never feel like you’re depriving yourself of something. it’s more sustainable that way
I respect people posting what they want and I think there needs to be healthy discussions around body image and your goals. This is in no way a critique on any of this video or Jenn or anyone looking to lose weight. I just want to say for those of us in recovery for EDs that might watch this/ see this pop up. You don’t have to fast. It’s a slippery slope with restrictions and most recovery nutritionists advice against it. Every body needs different things and the only one who decides those needs should be yourself from a place of awareness and care. Don’t let anyone tell you to do it if it makes you uncomfortable and impacts your health. Processed foods aren’t going to hurt you to eat. They have nutritional value too. Eat what makes you feel good. Recovery is worth breaking the rules. Weight gain isn’t always bad. Whether you want to lose weight should come from a place of love for yourself. Take care of yourself and if you are struggling reach out for help. Recovery will always be worth it. Once again this is just for my peeps with eating disorders not an attack/shade on anything or anyone in the video or comments. ❤
thank you sm for this comment. ive struggled with an ed for years. i was in recovery and im finally at a point where i want to lose weight again healthily. im a bit overweight so i want to feel better in my skin, but i don’t want go down the path of ed behaviors again. personally intermittent fasting is hard for me sometimes since my hunger is all over the place and i hate being restricted to a time window. it makes me feel bad because intermittent fasting is so popular and i feel like a failure for not doing it. this comment makes me feel more valid for doing what works best for me and MY body. 💜💜
@@byesialater it’s so hard with how common and accepted disordered eating is in society. I’m proud of you for choosing to reconnect to your body and keep on the path of recovery. Sending lots of support to you!
Thank you so much fir this, Jenn. I've been crying for weeks now because of a tour guide's remark while I was on a beach trip. I tripped a little while going up the boat because I held to a wrong place and my hand slipped. He said to wait for him to assist me because I am fat. I've been dealing with body dysmorphia since G knows when and doing lots of diet to satisfy eyes with the body that I will get. Hoping to have better days soon!
Jenn, i would like to thanking you so much for this video, because like this past moments, I've been struggling with my body, and then poof you're giving me a lot of insight how not to belittle everything that I ate & all, once again thank you so much Jenn. Love from Indonesia 🫶
Love seeing a before and after in my subscription box it doesn't trigger me at all!!!!!!!!! (Do the weight loss thing I don't give a shit but having a before where you're like :(((( I'm overweight :(((! And a after where you're like :)))) I'm skinny now :))))))) is always going to trigger so many people, jenn.
This was the video I was looking for! Not lose 20 lbs in...2 weeks, 30 days. People need a sustainable plan, not a get rich quick scheme. Thanks for your honesty with your journey. 😊
I'm also a volume eater so intermittent fasting works for me too. The abundance versus scarcity mindset was a game changer for me! I'm much more of an intuitive eater now, versus restricting or thinking about what I "should" or "shouldn't" eat.
this was very validating for my weight loss journey and currently in the phase where I've done too much damage but feeling motivated to get healthy. I really appreciate the guidance :)
Jenn, I truly love this video! I've been feeling quite down for some time because of the whole weight issues. I had never been thin, always overweight. Two years ago I managed to shave some kgs of through consistent workout and healthy meals, but some time last year I slowly downspiral because I was busy and lacking sleep, plus felt lethargic to even move to do some exercise. I think a certain part of me feared of going back to that old weight I used to be, and now just exercise to make sure i don't overeat. i personally think my mindset is quite bad and unsustainable, so I really wanna thank you for coming out with this video. Two years ago I was the happiest because I was active and continuously mindful with my foods. Now I'm just back to lazy and unbothered, and it's tiring.
As a Registered Dietitian- I love the approach of adding to your plate, rather than saying no/restricting. But I would also note, anything in excess amounts could be bad for your health, including your "whole foods" and there is actually nothing wrong with processed foods- as many people rely on these types of food and can have a nutritious diet, and also can help lose weight (or gain, whichever is the goal). Example- canned beans/veggies, sauces, whole grain breads, etc are all considered "processed" but are great source of nutrition and will help keep you satiated. I wouldn't shy away from the frozen and canned/dried food sections of the grocery store ;)
Hey Una! That's a fair point. I should have been more explicit about the types of processed foods (ie. canned beans vs SPAM). Obviously, there is a hierarchy of health within the umbrella of processed foods. Thanks for clearing that up! x
i’ve thought about intermitten fasting but unfortunately i’m diabetic and could be very dangerous for my health. however, i do a lot of the things you do. i started walking, then jogging and adding a bit of hiking every now and then. i also started following cardio workout youtube videos and now weight lifting, but nothing too extreme. and about the food, YES! i love eating any type of protein, whether it’s fish, chicken, eggs, lentils, salmon or whatever, but i always make sure to add lots of vegetables and maybe a small portion of carbs such as brown rice, wheat bread, potatoes and so on. and i do have my days when i’ll eat a cake and think, “i failed” but i push that thought away and tell myself, “you had your treat. your little prize. a little congratulations for all this effort. now, continue on with your weightloss journey” and that just pushes me to continue and never give up. thanks for the tips, girly. i started at 180 lbs 2 weeks ago and i’m looking forward to stepping on that scale in another week to see my progress 💪🤗 little advice, don’t let a small mistake become permanent.
loved this video. Just an additional thought on intermittent fasting -- there are new studies, finally done on women, stating that it can mess up your hormones and be really detrimental to hormone health, whereas all the "old" studies that highlighted the benefits were solely done on men. Just something to consider when recommending IF to women. I'm a huge believer that whatever works for you, works for you but since hormones is something we don't necessarily see and feel all the time i wanted to add this to the *discussion
I'm soooooo glad you're talking about this BECAUSE I LITERALLY have been contemplating on intermittent fasting!!!!! I need to lose weight and am struggling so badddd. Thank you for sharing this!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing this Jenn. I really needed to hear this especially when I'm on the journey of trying to lose weight. Your tips and stories definitely helped me so much
i really appreciate this video, it made me realize how i never really started dieting and this is my first time trying to diet so i hope i am able to keep up with my goals. thank you so much!
Thank you so much this is so so helpful! I have been working out and eating a balanced diet for a month and two weeks but I haven't seen that many changes, but when you said 'slow and steady', that really clicked for me! This was such a helpful video, thank you!!!
I watched the video for some tips on losing weight but instead I focused on how goooooood the editing was made. Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee your videos Jenn!
Hi!!!!!! NEW SUB!!!! I'm so excited I found your channel!!!! I started my TH-cam Weight Loss Journey in November (2022). I've been searching for other TH-camrs who have gone through some of the same things I have and who have experience and knowledge for this journey. I LOVE your attitude and personality. Congratulations on the birth of your son!!! I'm so happy for you! Thank you for all this amazing information - YES we probably ALL want it to come off FAST! Thank you for the reminder of the beauty of the journey and being compassionate with ourselves. 💖💖💖💖
First I did working out a few times a week with low cholesterol diet, now I'm Fasting, making sure I'm eating 1300 or 1500 calories a day , working out for 30 minutes a day 6 out of 7 days a week be it walking running elliptical, treadmill, I was 215 during covid in late 2019 early 2020, now today I'm 162 pounds at 5 ft 8 in. Everyone's different, you just have to find what works for you. I'm also not at good health and have many problems, even simple chores puts me out of breath. So no excuses. We've got This ❤️❤️❤️ my sister is overweight and I hope she can get to a good weight soon. Health is nothing to joke about. You can love yourself when you lose weight too don't let anyone tell you different I'm a 28 yo woman also, for perspective
Thank you always for the reminders :) I feel like I have a long time friend, knowing your channel around my early 20's and now living in my 30's - I appreciate your content and how you share your life lessons and experiences with us! 🌸💌
I was a little nervous when I saw the title of this video, but as always, I absolutely love the perspective you share. It feels less about "weight" and more about loving yourself exactly where you're at. So grateful for you sharing honestly and openly about your journey 🤍 ALSO your what I eat in a days are always so wholesome and nourishing - SUCH a gift to see 😍
Cap full of concentrated lemon in 20 oz. Bottle water sweeten lightly ice it down and sip on it . Try it for a month. You'll end up liking it. Regular lemonade is good too.
Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey after childbirth. I'm still struggling to lose my baby weight even after 3 years has passed since I gave birth.
It's amazing how you managed to make this video from the perspective of self-love, self-care and health while telling us about your past struggles. I find myself looking for a strong inner thought or phrase that will show me the way to lose weight in the healthiest and the most wholesome way possible because this year I realized that in my younger years I would lose weight with anger, to prove a point, to reach a number and that must have been so hard on my body and mental health. I was talking to my Mom about this today and this video literally showed me the way. Love you Jenn, you are an angel.
Hi Jenn, i’m not sure if you’re aware but i’ve been hearing a lot of negative things about Betterhelp recently. For instance, therapists dismissing clients very real concerns or doing other tasks while on a call with a client (not being fully present), therapists disappearing without proper termination, data and confidentiality issues, paying therapists poorly, etc. Obviously everyone’s experience is different but ive heard/seen these issues coming from many of their (ex)customers and would hate for more vulnerable people to have a negative experience. As such, I think it would be worth looking into these allegations a bit more and reconsidering your partnership with them. All the love!
I’m a registered dietitian and also agree that some of your tips may not be one size fits all as nutrition is extremely individualized. However, looking at the big picture I do want to commend you on your efforts on trying your best to optimize your health/eating habits through intuitive eating and using your platform to remind others to being kind to themselves. There’s no such thing as eating a perfect diet and I’m glad you’re advocating for a gentle nutrition approach. P.S: I’ve been following you for probably a decade now and know your content and advice always comes from a good place Jen. ❤️
i really like the way you talk about your weight loss in a very healthy way! :) intermittent fasting however really isn’t great for young women as it can really mess up their fertility. abby sharp has done a good summary of the existing research on this topic!
Thanks for sharing Jenn. This video is coming at a good time for me. Tbh, I'm probably the heaviest I've ever been and I didn't even have a child hahaha.... I know not everything you said will work for me but I like the ideas of just doing the exercise or movement you enjoy and diversifying. I find it impossible to go off carbs so I like the idea of adding instead of subtracting. I definitely go into a scarcity cycle whenever I try to deny myself a lot of things I love like rice and potatoes and bread and then just end up eating more than before. Abundance in mindset and gentle kindness to myself is definitely something I will need to slowly cultivate... Easier said than done but I appreciate you are sharing with us a journey of many months instead of promoting a 'crash diet'... Love the example you are showing us.
I loved this video! This is exactly how I lost 30 lbs and kept it off for a couple of years. It took a little over a year but was so much more sustainable that all my weightloss diets before!
The tip of throwing veggies at a dish is a really good idea, I don't like veggies but there are certain veggies that I like with certain meals that a are low calorie will fill me up and will add some fiber to the dish, it tricks you brain into thinking you are adding rather than taking away and fills you up
Great tips! Thank you 🙏🏼 also, you looked great at all stages! I am still on my weight loss journey after my second baby. Despite taking on intermittent fasting for a few months now fasting, eating healthfully (except for 2 or 3 meals per week), exercising on average twice or 3 times a week for many months, I feel like I am plateauing. I managed to lose a few pounds but still would love to lose at least 10 lbs more, so that I can feel like myself and know how to dress my body (again). For some reason, it’s so much harder and slower the second time around I am finding. Trying not to loose hope 🤞🏼
Best thing I ever did was reading the book Woman’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, after applying the knowledge I got from the book I feel like the cellulite is magically disappearing from my body
HOW
the second you said “my tip for exercise is finding a form of movement you enjoy” I immediately gave the video a like. Appreciate this thought process so much!!
Yay! I'm glad you found it helpful! x
The second she started talking about calories I gave up
I truly appreciate that you explain how it took you 16 months and a lot of reshaping mentally to get to this point.
I love how you mention the importance of being gentle with yourself throughout the process 🙏🏾❤️
thank you jenn for sharing your journey with us! when you mentioned that it took 16 months, i was impressed with the long journey. most people talk about 3, 6, 8 months, or a year - but i felt that this was more realistic and that long term goals can make a difference
That's amazing! I'm proud of you! xx
You've inspired me and my breastfeeding journey has been over for a long while now, my first born is now 7 but it only seems fair to get myself back.
loving this makeup and hair look, and loving these realistic weight loss tips with emphasis on mental health. thanks Jenn
The timing is so perfect! I’ve just started my weight loss journey and been trying to find a balance, found so much useful info in your video! Thanks ❤
Ahh, I'm glad I could help! x

I’m almost 3 years post and I’m working on it too 😫 sending you good luck 💪🏽

This video and tips are gold. I wish there was more content and people talking about weight this way when I was younger. But don’t we all! Haha.
I genuinely enjoy and felt so calm watching this video and even enlightened. I have found my journey with weight loss to be simpler with changes just like these abs I’m so happy you put this out there. Genuinely girl you are a saving grace on TH-cam ❤
Before and after pictures 😭 "more than a body" is a great book to start your body image healing journey
The best desicion I ever made was getting the ebook Woman’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, it completly changed my life
One thing to also keep in mind with using TDEE as a basis.
It’s be wonderful to grow with you
I do want to mentioned that for all estrogen-based bodies w/ uteruses (biological females) that it is SO important that we are moving along with our bodies and cycle and supporting them
Most of us know of the Circadian Rhythm, which is our 24-hour internal clock that governs our wake/sleep cycle and our digestion.
Wow! This was fascinating to read as I've been keeping track of my cycle. Great reminded to be extra gentle during the luteal and menstruation phase.
I read this comment from start to finish and learned a lot! Thank you ❤
your communication skills are amazing, something about the way you communicate information just makes my brain absorb it all lolol.
Thank you, Linda!
I have to mention how perfectly shot this video is!
The colors and the perspective lines which all point to you, truly such a high quality shot!!
The TDEE thing is so helpful! Didn't know that and I've watched several weight loss videos and you're the first person to mention it.
this has been the best weight loss i have ever recieved.. it completely changed my perpective on weightloss, physical, and mental health..

You look great and healthy! Proud of you Jenn 💪🏼☺️❤️
Thanks Romana! x
Thank you!
the first transition in the video left me speechless! you look so radiant and beautiful in that shot.
This is so helpful Jenn! Thanks for showing people how to do this sustainably
This has probably been the best advice to realistically lose the weight and I’m so thankful someone is telling the truth about long term weight loss rather than crash diets! ThankYou! ❤
These are really great tips to hear from you. ALSO, kinda distracted by how gorgeous this hairstyle is on you. It's literally stunning!

Hi, Jenn!🥰
I was just about to start exercising and searching for a video to get motivated.

Yesss!! Love this! The tip about where to shop in the grocery stores is what I tell my patients all the time.
You’re so inspiring Jenn your tips are always so helpful
Thanks for clearing that up! x
Good to know! As someone living with a chronic illness, I need ‘easy’ to cook foods, like frozen vegetables. Thank you so much.
i’ve thought about intermitten fasting but unfortunately i’m diabetic and could be very dangerous for my health. however, i do a lot of the things you do. i started walking, then jogging and adding a bit of hiking every now and then. i also started following cardio workout youtube videos and now weight lifting, but nothing too extreme. and about the food, YES! i love eating any type of protein, whether it’s fish, chicken, eggs, lentils, salmon or whatever, but i always make sure to add lots of vegetables and maybe a small portion of carbs such as brown rice, wheat bread, potatoes and so on. and i do have my days when i’ll eat a cake and think, “i failed” but i push that thought away and tell myself, “you had your treat. your little prize. a little congratulations for all this effort. now, continue on with your weightloss journey” and that just pushes me to continue and never give up. thanks for the tips, girly. i started at 180 lbs 2 weeks ago and i’m looking forward to stepping on that scale in another week to see my progress 💪🤗 little advice, don’t let a small mistake become permanent.

loved this video.

What a great timing!! I needed this video
I am LOVING this hair color on you! 😍
Thank you for this ❤ love the tire analogy
OMG I can't get my eyes off your face because I truly love your makeup look in this video
i really like the way you talk about your weight loss in a very healthy way! :)
intermittent fasting however really isn’t great for young women as it can really mess up their fertility. abby sharp has done a good summary of the existing research on this topic!
I love content like this, truly! Love it, Jenn!
Omg love your look ! How about a make up tutorial and hairstyle 😍😍😍😍 awesome motivating video for those who’re with or without kids
I loved this video! This is exactly how I lost 30 lbs and kept it off for a couple of years. It took a little over a year but was so much more sustainable that all my weightloss diets before!
The tip of throwing veggies at a dish is a really good idea, I don't like veggies but there are certain veggies that I like with certain meals that a are low calorie will fill me up and will add some fiber to the dish, it tricks you brain into thinking you are adding rather than taking away and fills you up
You are glowing bestie!
