    I feel like I’m an anomaly in the target audience, $133 dollars a month is crazy for a fitness app 🥴

      @mae.c7 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought so too, but when you compare it to what a certified personal trainer costs hourly, it is a lot cheaper. Copilot doesn’t seem like your average premade cookie cutter workout app, it sounds like the personal trainer is putting together a custom workout every time you workout and is checking your form and checking in with you. I guess that made me realize that it is cheap for what it is.

    Took some rough notes. Hope this helps!
    Exercise
    - Compound muscle over cardio, 5 min cardio warmup, 45 minute strength training
    - Romanticize- get it done and place it as first task of the day, sip on tasty energy drinks, grab a good music playlist, make it into a game, celebrate your workouts
    - Fake it till you make it- keep showing up until you learn to love it
    Diet
    - Caloric deficit 100-200 calories/day
    - Stick to meal plans- simple and consistent
    - Eating your own cooked meals and snacks
    Sticking the Habit
    - Brushing teeth after eating dinner to avoid eating late
    Mindset
    - Set your mindset to be patient and enjoy the process🎉

      I'm sorry but really since when the brushing teeth Rule ever REALLY help against late night snacking...?

    Jenn, the way that you talk about fitness and show your progress without pulling any hip-dislocating poses to make your stomach look flatter or something is admirable. Weight loss and fitness is such an emotionally charged topic, and I think that the way you talk about it is instantly calming and just takes the pressure off of the whole thing. Keep doing what you're doing :)

      I did it in the past. But I just can’t get into it anymore since I did it during the time I had an eating disorder. The gym is a very triggering and scary place for me as well. I want to get into it at home but it’s hard for me.
      I now try to walk a lot and to aerobic exercises at home. I also work with kids so I’m lifting and on the move all day long. I hope that will keep me strong.

    Something that helped me have more grace on myself - genetics play a huge part in your body composition. Some people are naturally more curvy, others are naturally thin, etc.

    • @pearinsomnia9188
      @pearinsomnia9188 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      However, they don’t vary *that* much. Based on human skeletal remains, there’s no such thing as “big boned”-your genetics affect your proportions, and appetite, and where you store fat/build muscle first, but it’s reassuring to know you can achieve the body you want within reason.

    Just a quick side note that if you are hungry after dinner it is totally okay to eat a snack and not wait until tomorrow. Maybe reflect what your dinner was missing that made you get hungry afterwards. Personally sometimes I can’t sleep and then I get hungry in the middle of the night (not the in the mood for food type of thing, I am physically hungry) and there is no way I can fall back to sleep like that so I‘ll have a banana or a small sandwich. Having a good nights sleep is very important too!!

    • @ricecakesforlife

      So important to not punish yourself for being hungry at night!!

      You don’t get the benefits of intermittent fasting if you eat in your fasting window; if I’m hungry after dinner and eat a snack, I feel worse the next day because I’m used to having a certain amount of time to digest. I eat a healthy diet with plenty of calories, so hunger isn’t something that *needs* to be responded to and I when I do eat, I usually find it’s false hunger stemming from stress anyways.

    I think it's so important to have videos like this, Jenn. To me, it feels like desiring weight loss has been villainized in the past few years...even healthy weight loss can feel like a taboo topic. So it's great to see some emphasis on health and moderation when it comes to it :) You look stunning!!

  • @janemlee93
    @janemlee93 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I do group classes and it is 100x better than working out by yourself. Having an instructor just tell you what to do- takes a lot of the guess work and they will cover many different muscle groups/movements that you won't think of yourself. Doing those, has been a million times motivating- you simply just bring yourself and once you lock in a time it is easy to integrate to your routine.

    Jenn, i have been a subscriber for a long time. Everything you’ve mentioned, i would save them or remember when i come across products or books or shops. I haven’t been an active subscriber, but this video feels like a signal that i desperately need to get back in fitness.
    I was doing well until one day i injured my knee and i stopped completely. My weight bounced back and i now weight heavier than i’ve ever could imagine. To top it all off i have PCOS. Completely broke me down. Appointments and medications made me lose my savings. Sometimes i care, sometimes i dont. I work work work. Eat what i could find near me even though they weren’t recommended by doctors. One day while i was showering as usual, i took a *good* look at the mirror and realised i haven’t been doing that for the longest time since all im used to is being fast to just do more things. i saw my body having new stretch marks. My eyes got watery and i almost broke down in the shower.
    What im trying to say is, you are among the prominent people in my life. I want to thank you. It will continue to be a rough journey for me, but at least i can always remember how one of my favourite youtubers put so much care and attention into fitness and health. Knowing that might not make me give up so easily. Like you said, its our mindset 💪
