The land fill I work and operate at we use d8s for the trash and d6 for cover
The D6 is such a nice machine and such a great do it all size
Man, I just found your channel bc I was watching you with Chris and Mike from the other dirt guys... I find it very interesting watching your operation.. you definitely have it all! Many blessings to you.
-Chris
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate you coming over to check out my channel!
what were those huge rolls looked like many many truck loads!
Fiberglass waste
Goo show, always.
Thanks for watching!
Hi come over from chris channel I used to work on landfill in the UK 🇬🇧 on D6 and we had same material come in its nightmare to work with that bulky fabric stuff raps around everything I used push muck up with it sometimes helps 👍
Thanks for watching!!
Awesome video!! Would love to see something cool under the compactor. Keep it up.
Thanks! There’s no way any mount would stay for very long under that beast! I’ll maybe try to Mount the camera on the side of the compactor though so we can see what the wheels are smashing. 👍👍
@@TheRealMrDigg That would be great. Appreciate the videos and all you do for the viewers.
We just got the same D6 at the landfill i work at. 157 hours.
Hope you love it!?
It's amazing how much stuff in there that can be recycled that gets buried.
Tons & tons……. Literally
another one ticked off Buddie, over here in the Uk, one week the refuse truck (trash) collects household waste, next week a different truck will collect plastic containers, tins, glass, cardboard and paper which we put into special containers.
Y’all got it going on over there -vs- us. Thanks for watching and Im gonna keep trying to recycle more & more!
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my comments, good of you.
@@tomwainwright7102 the comments are my favorite!
I always thought it was a bad idea to be in a machine with steel tracks or wheels during a thunderstorm. We always shut down out logging jobs when storms come in just for that reason.
Great, now you tell me!😂
Man been waiting for this video
Hope you liked it!👍
I try to check the big dumpster at work weekly for stuff I can use or take to the scrap yard. Its amazing how much good stuff I bring home to use for gardening or building.
It’s crazy the amount of stuff that gets thrown away!
I think it’s great that you guys make an effort to recycle, I wish all landfills did. Love your channel, you just gained a subscription.
Thanks for subbing! And I really appreciate the comment!!👍👍
Omg i was holding so i didn't fall over no problem with your footage full on day on the cat bulldozer so good to see what happens to what we throw away thank you its been morning watching your videos not a bad way to spend my Saturday morning i think keep up the good work
Hahaha, thanks for watching Buddy!
Man, you aren't kidding about how much waste there is and that goes on in every big city everyday.
It’s crazy dude!
I'd love to sit & have a cold one with ya sometime, but you're 420 miles se of me. I'll hit the subscribe button thingy tho😅. Good videos & thanks for taking us along

Hi bro am from Belize Central america.i just love the way u work that dozer.i also operate heavy equipment too
OH Cool, Ive been to Belize once. I think it was a town called Copan. I love your beautiful country. Thanks so much for watching!!
Seeing a time lapse at the mulch yard would be cool too!
Cool idea buddy!
👍
👍👍
Geeze... you can make a video about ANYTHING!
lol, thanks for watching!!
You should get a GoPro head mount for when you run the compactor or dozer again
I might try that!
@@TheRealMrDigg it’s worth it
Yea
i am curious do you have a business and administration degree, you do run several different businesses , great video thanks for sharing👍👍👍👍👍
lol nope, just high school. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!
You guys need a shredder for all that fabric stuff and plastic. Really makes it easy to deal with that type of stuff
That would be nice, but it’s one more piece of equipment plus someone to run it. The per ton tipping fee just won’t support the extra cost. Good thinking though!
@@TheRealMrDigg we have one at sample and son. It can be a pain in the butt sometimes but when it's running good it makes it easy to compact. Good for side slopes too
I didn't know y'all had one! What brand is it??
@@TheRealMrDigg it's a terex. I don't know the model right off hand though
Hi it’s Adrian from the UK, question for you do you get many broken windows on the dozer’s after seeing the lump off timber trying to flip over the track
Remarkably no. But the compactor on the other hand……
I just started working at the landfill here in St.George, Utah running the same machine. I am new dozer operator. Do you have any advice on pushing trash and building slopes?
Hey Buddy, best advice I can give for slopes is to try and keep all the “bulky” stuff off of it. We try to use only good construction material on slopes because it breaks up easier and takes less cover dirt. Good Luck and thanks for watching!
With the cable loads you can cut out a hole push it in bury and cover it on your pad do you guys run a 100x100 or is it day by day? Also do you cover every night with flags dirt clean dirt a rug or adc? Ive been bing watching your videos today love the content!
We’re day by day on the size of the tipping floor. We only have to legally cover once a month
@@TheRealMrDigg wish we could do that lol save us on cover dirt…. We have to cover everything at the end of day operations with alternative daily cover (auto fluff) a tarp or dirt. I like that though cnd keeps it simple. Love the operation though a wide variety of choices of what to for the day I’d be a kid in a candy store
I would assume you don't take regular household trash. I never see any compactor route trucks.
Correct, just C&D material buddy
@@TheRealMrDigg I drove a rear loader truck for 15 years.
used to run concrete sand oujt of the place and at the time loader was decent now not so much
Oh yeah? What’s the issue??
Could you mount camera on top of cab? Great video
I just ordered a magnetic GoPro mount, the clip I had wouldn’t connect well on the roof anywhere…. I tried
Just wondering do you charge the trucks to dump there?
Yes, everyone pays by the ton
How much do y'all charge for construction waste by the ton? Also I want one of those Atomic Sand hats.
Right around $30/ton. Hopefully I’ll have some hats to give away soon!
U need a bigger blade
You’re right, U blade is best
How can i get a job doing this??
Just apply!
Thinking government needs to stay out of most things more
Totally agree
the government has never solved anything, most of the time the government makes things worse and away more expensive "imho"
I agree!!
With all the environmental go green hane you ever looked into a waste burner to generate electricity, who knows the government might pay for it .
I have looked into it, but it would be a permitting miracle just to get the permit
So much trash people just don’t care
Sad but true buddy! Thanks for watching!!
@@TheRealMrDigg you should do another compactor running video
