Regardless of the outcome of the negotiations, it is imperative to recognize that the Somali coast will always be an integral part of Somalia🇸🇴, just as Ethiopia's valleys and mountains are intrinsic to its territory. The maritime regions are inherently part of Somali sovereignty, a fact that remains unaltered. In light of the recent MoU signed between Ethiopia and Somaliland State of Somalia , which is a breakaway region within Somalia and not an independent country, we, as Somalis, hope that Ethiopia will reconsider its stance. Imagine if Somalia made a similar deal with an Ethiopian🇪🇹 region like Tigray or Amhara ,how would Ethiopia react? A step back from Ethiopia would pave the way for normalizing relations between our two countries.

Well… Somalia would’ve been more inclined to cooperate with Ethiopia if Ethiopia had adhered to the proper and protocol channels for engaging in a business treaty with another sovereign nation. It is important to recognize that if Somalia had entered into a business agreement with the Tigray Regional State of Ethiopia, Ethiopia would have likely felt similarly and may not have accepted such an arrangement. Therefore, it is essential for both countries to respect each other's diplomatic processes and protocols when pursuing business agreements.

Ethiopia is always advocating for a regional peace and cooperation to the benefits of mutual interests, following the principles of understanding and fairly weighed give and take policy. Somalia's president Hassan Sheikh has never been honest in discussion with Ethiopia, rather chose for intriguing style diplomacy and running to Egypt, Eritrea, and Turkey. He even disrespected the Ethiopian soldiers stationed for decades in Somalia to keep him and his government safe and maintain peace of the Somalian people against the brutal and nonesense AlShebab.
We don’t have to negotiate with anyone for our sovereign land we took our independence in 1960 and we still have land missing to Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and Kenya 🇰🇪 we are getting our land back and not giving out land for free!
