Hey, thanks for the review. I wanted something similar enough to the Ergotron HX without the price tag and this is exactly the info I needed. Edit: The product page is confusing, but it has multiple mounting options. Thanks again!
Just got this set up. It’s nice so far. The only thing I don’t like is when you move the monitor up in height, it doesn’t go directly up. It goes to the side a little. And the power wire for my monitor isn’t long enough. For now I can’t move it as much as I want. I’ll have to adjust my cabling.
Man, this is a show not tell medium. You’re just reading off the specs from their website. You say we can adjust it almost anyway we can imagine but then you rattle off the limitations, but don’t actually show those limitations.
will be, a lot of 1 star review talk about it couldn't hold up pass a certain point (the original weight limit is a lie, probably 25 lbs is the right number). recommend looking at $300+ options at minimum. I think pass 25 lbs mark you need specialized design outside of just material, which makes it expansive. (his anti-recommendation ergotron is the way to go, I personally only have a 34 inch monitor so it was perfect for me, 12 lbs of weight only)
Definitely need to have a monitor mounted. You'll see what happens if you try pushing down VERY hard on the free arm, you'll notice it takes a lot of force to move the counterweight down, and it will bounce back up very aggressively - so be careful. This is a good thing because you want the monitor to be very supported when it's on the arm. And that frees up the counterweight to balance it out.
You use the large allen key it came with to adjust the tension on the arm behind the monitor. You’ll see a + and - symbol with arrows. Adjust as needed. I had to tighten mine quite a bit to keep my monitor in place.
Stay away from that giant hunk of junk. I bought one, tore down my entire desk and system to install it, started putting it together, was on the last step, I was supposed to install a spacer for the main plate portion and... they forget to include it, wasn't in the box anywhere. I'm not going to the hardware store to try and find that wack piece, and if I found one, it could fail and destroy my $1000 monitor. Talk about a giant waste of time. For the record i'm not the first person to not receive all the parts for this, read the Amazon reviews. It's getting returned to Amazon today.
Elegant, professional video as usual. Keep pushing!
Thank you!

What are you on about? He's walking through how he set it up, his thoughts etc? Do you want a scientific study? (I just bought two of them)
I noticed your laptop vertical stand, do you mind sharing what brand of stand that is? Been looking for one.
Yes! It's the rain design macbook stand. I can update the description with a link. Cheers!
Hey I’ve bought this arm but I can’t move the bottom it’s locked help!!
There is a little screw on the bottom of the arm that you can loosen if you want it to move more.
Great review- Can this arm tilt be adjusted freely or does it lock in place.
My monitor is 34 1/2 pounds. Do you think that will be an issue?

What are the chances I see this and just bought a 49 inch oled g9? I need an arm up to the task 🙌
Perfect timing ! That monitor looks amazing, double check the weight capacity but I’m thinking you should be good to go!
i just ordered a g9 and am wondering if you ended up going with this mount. If you did how has it been so far?
I set up the monitor arm and it won’t adjust height. Does a monitor need to be mounted for it to move upward and down?

someone help me please
i cant make the stand keep my monitor where i want it
What did u adjust to get it to raise and lower
Same. I can’t get it to adjust the height!

Starting to wonder why anyone would choose an Ergotron over one of these, the cable management on Ergotrons SUCK
Probably just for the brand name. And maybe their looks. But I can't really see the reason either!
the comments show that not everyone has success or a fluid experience
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the super like!!
