How convenient --- a 7-11 across the alleyway. Super deals, these, for me, a single, retired, 80 year old man. I'm liking this VERY much. AND close in to EVERYTHING. Thank you for these.

yes, but I still wondered how far it is from Central Pattaya--or the 'action'. I know he said these were located in 'Central Pattaya' but I remain curious...

For $150 dollars a month, you could easily live off retirement income and STILL invest or have plenty of "company". Perfect for a simple mans life.

These are basic rooms but let’s be honest, the prices are great, it’s a roof over your head, they’re air conditioned, they look secure, they look clean, you have a bed. What else apart from some minor accessories do you need? I’ve lived in worse places in London decades ago and survived quite well. Life needn’t be complicated if you don’t want it to be.

    • @chrisjuricichxl5

Too true--since I've been married now nearly 40 years, my wife's preference for 'more comfort and panache', as it were, would probably disallow these places from her consideration...but were I to be travelling alone (ha!), these would be more than adequate for my simple needs.

You are absolutely right. I totally agree with you my friend. Despite I got enough of opportunity to rent much better room or condo I would prefer to stay those places and do not waisting money for nothing.
The roof, water💧, AC is enough for comfortable life.

That’s a trip down memory lane as stayed at Chaba Garden in a small room that you shown here and was about 5000bt I think but was over 10ys ago….rooms a bit tight but if on a budget…and many are around there nowadays…it’s ok. Nice thai couple that own it.
Where the swimming pool is the bigger 1 bedroom rooms are very nice and reasonable too. The surrounding buildings were there with plenty thai and retired farangs living there. All clean rooms and with cable tv and Wi-Fi and good value.

Decent, quiet, clean, nice pool but "A LONG" way and A LOT of traffic to get to central Pattaya. *So this pandemic has brought down prices FOR THOSE WHO MOVE THERE SOON BEFORE PRICES SHOOT UP AS THEY FILL UP AGAIN.

    a few points to consider
    - safe bike parking?
    - elect and water.. govt rate or jacked up condo rate? (figure +1000b a month minimum if is a condo rate)
    - sun comes in which direction? and does the door need sunblock curtain?
    - deposit... is a refundable deposit or just assumed as part of the rent come moveout time?
    - a 30sqm cement box while cheap, probably isn't where you'll want to spend much time so figure additional money for being 'outside' of your cement box cell.
    - washing machines and dryer available?
    - filtered water dispenser machine onsite?
    - is there a bar/karaoke/noise making business across from your window?
    - is there a pack of soi dogs that guard the driveway at night? woof woof nice doggie
    - if you're planning on bringing playtime guests can you handle the confined space?

3-month stay, fixed costs (baht). Flight from London 16k, Rent 12k, deposit 2k, utilities 5k, health insurance 4.5k, visa 2k (1 year?), food (3 squares per day local ) 16.5k, bike, say 8k, bare minimum(ish), 66k for three months. 22k per month less than 500 quid. If staying for a year then costs would be ~204k (with discounts for the year) or 17k per month, less than 400 quid per month.
Not sure I would want to live like that. When you consider the average salary is 14,620 per month then the numbers seem to stack up. Join a gym maybe add a 4th meal and turn into Rocky ;) remember another meal a day adds 22k per year ;)

How much is the electricity water gas utilities bill?included or not?

    • @kingm457
      @kingm457 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The electric and water are not included, none of these units are at government rates. 8 to 10 baht per unit compared to government rate between 3 to 4 baht per unit. Not mentioned in the video and this is how the landlords make money as if you use aircon your bill will be double the normal government rates. I think if mentioned in the video many would think different about renting.
