hey there, thanks for the great videos. I have been in Marathon for a few weeks now and just can't seem to catch many fish. I consider myself to be a knowledgeable fisherman from the north but everything is so much different down here. I have a skiff but today I am going to try a bridge, which bridge would you recommend? channel #2, old 7 mile on the west side, etc.
Nice one! I'm with you on that last third of the fight. The one I got a few weeks back was like that, never jumped, he came half out of the water and shook once, then just kept going down and turning sideways. It was like pulling on a hundred pound anchor for an hour.

Steve I notice when you are on the flats you are always using artificial. Is that because you have not found any live bait or because that method works better. Just wondering if you had live bait like pilchards, threads, etc if that would increase your chances or if the artificial works just as well.

Mark Solomon he was reviving it as with that big battle the fish didn’t have much oxygen left so passing water through it’s gills is a useful way to revive him and make sure he stays alive after the big fight

Now THAT is a nice Tarpon Steve , used to catch all monsters there in the 70's , 7 mile bridge was the hot spot .
