Just love your videos. PA guy. I camped at the lodge in Big Pine in February of 2006, and 2007. Loved it. Hooked into a goliath grouper just like that in the creek north of the blimp on Cudjoe key, pulled the anchor through the mud, pulled the kayak about 100ft, got wrapped up in the mangroves and broke the line. Next year, I just used a sharpened broom handle through the trolley ring and held in any soft bottom areas better than the anchor. I saw sharks, turtles, dolphins, manatees swimming by. Hooked a tarpon on No Name bridge, jumped, broke the line. Cought dozens of different species. Cooked up snappers, and grunts. Great fishing all over. Going back to this January to Key Largo, and Crystal River.
Hey it’s been a while sense I have seen your video’s and sure enough there’s no disappointment with them. I am from Cuba, lived in Miami, move to N. Carolina the beaches are beautiful here but not like a. Florida. I wish I had the time to meet you and hit the flats with you some day! Great video love them all.
I'd be interested to see if a polarizing lens would help enough with the glare that the bait chase would be visible. That snook was exciting, but ill never know just *how* exciting cause of that dang glare aha
Mom died on Clearwater beach Nov. '89 I want to go back to the south where I did alot of growing up. Saltwater, freshwater fishing all around the bay and neighborhood. Scent in the water, snakes in the hamock, clams on the flats and sand dollars at the beach. No coconuts till Miami.
Was it me or the camera was a little off? Couldn't see the magroves well. Excellent job there. Two days ago I lost a battle in the magroves, but I do handline fishing.
Thank you for saving the iguana, brotha. I love that shit. I’d have done the same. You got yourself a subscriber and I don’t even fish. Cheers, brotha! 🤙🏾
Instead of cut mullet when targeting those nice snook try keeping a couple live 6 inch mullet as well as your pilchards snook can’t resist them live mullet sometimes
Awesome video my man! Was wondering where I could put in my lil 14ft skiff around this area? Is there an actual spot to launch or do u just put in anywhere?
Wait, you use a leader that can carry twice as much as your main line? o.O Shouldn't that be the other way around? In case the line breaks you don't loose too much main line and the fish doesn't swim off with who knows how many feet of line hanging out of its mouth.
Up here in the NE when we snag Bunker for Striped Bass we us an egg sinker snag rig. I think you'd like it to so you get the big treble hook and can adjust the weight as needed. www.onthewater.com/bunker-bass-beaches
You found a honey hole there. Nice multiple species day with some big fish catches too.

Big Pine Key has always been, and hopefully will always be, my #1 favorite.
"Holy mackerel, that was my snook!" Lol. Love it.
Wow Steve... epic show! A fav of mine for sure! Thanks. Looking forward to your next show. Keep safe.
Beaaaaauuuuuuuutiiiifuuuuuuullll day in the Florida Keys.. great video Steve
Got me dying laughing from commentary lol !!!! That must of been one hell of a snook sighting. Then the Goliath fight lol you tha mannnn
I love when greedy Steve makes an appearance, you know CHAOS is right behind him! ;)
CHAOS knows no bounds lol
Awesome Day!! Thanks for the Video
Great fishing day. Glad you're having success and sharing your new home location
Man, that laugh when you got the Goliath out from the mangroves was contagious!! Nice battle
I swear I was helping you fight that Goliath grouper. I found myself leaning to the right when your anchor let up!
Dude---you rock! I was just down in Marathon. Stayed close to the Turtle Hospital. Will look for you next time I am there.
I live in O.C, CA, fishing here is nothing like Florida fishing, all I can do is dream of fishing there, and watch your videos, lol!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty sweet day on the water

That was a great catch with the grouper!
I love that you got an ad in for Esky rods while fighting the grouper.
Awesome catch

so happy i watched this man great tips and great fishing! going to use this technique in flamingo

if you put your rod tip down in the water once you hook up, your line is less likely to get wrapped up and broken off on the mangrove roots.
Great video Steve!
Sometimes I wonder why you position so close to the mangroves, wouldn’t it be easier if you were say 15’ further away 🤷🏼♂️
Was it me or the camera was a little off? Couldn't see the magroves well. Excellent job there. Two days ago I lost a battle in the magroves, but I do handline fishing.
You have an excellent channel! And you know your stuff. Coming to Marathon in April with my kayak and fly rods would be fun to meet
Frenchfly
This is great! I’m coming to Marathon for the month in February 2025! I could definitely use some direction if it’s not to much trouble.
eyyyy i knew ya just had to get used to the new spots awesome!!!
Theres some 150+ pound goliaths in Spanish channel strait out from ramp. I caught one off hobie back in july at night super fun
Catch and cook .....catch and cook ......catch and cook ......... 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great video! Keep up the great work
Nice action👍 Reds usually show up eventually when you have little snapper picking at your bait.
Nice kayak🐠
Nice job on that fish bro
Greedy Steve strikes again!..if only for a moment. Gotta love it! 👌
Two casts two on the board!
Didn't you ever hear about not counting your mullet until they're in the boat?😂😂😂
Crazy little spot brother
2:57
“Shark bait”
Me- “Hoo ha ha”
I liked your channel for a while now. But when you hit 6 commercials in 20mins, I can’t hang. Congrats on the catches.
I saw you today !!!!

Steve, when are you going to do a catch and cook? When you did the house tour, it appeared that you have an actual kitchen now.
are there polarization filters for your go pro > would be nice to see what you see
Love your chanel Steve. I'm in BPK next month. Can you advise general area where you were fishing ?
Dear Steve, FYI... Size Matters! lol. Great Vid
can you get mahi or tuna from your kayak or is that too far off shore?
Awesome video my man! Was wondering where I could put in my lil 14ft skiff around this area? Is there an actual spot to launch or do u just put in anywhere?
Epic battle
Nice vid!! Love the channel
So, being as loud as this is, does that effect if the fish bite
Steve where abouts were you in Big Pine?
1 for 3 in my book lol Just teasing, I will be buying couple of those trebles from you
I live here in Florida also wished I lived close to saltwater from where I live it`s a 100 miles in any direction to saltwater .
Greedy Steve shirts next please!!!!! Lol
what's wrong with the cast net?
1:47, fish jumps out of the water behind you.
Good
How about 8000 with less weight ?
Wait, you use a leader that can carry twice as much as your main line? o.O Shouldn't that be the other way around? In case the line breaks you don't loose too much main line and the fish doesn't swim off with who knows how many feet of line hanging out of its mouth.
You should rig some horizontal rod storage on your outrigger frame. That way you aren’t hassling with them while in battle
Im just going to ask ..... catch and cook please...!!!!please!!!!
Only fisherman I know that doesn't eat fish.
Up here in the NE when we snag Bunker for Striped Bass we us an egg sinker snag rig. I think you'd like it to so you get the big treble hook and can adjust the weight as needed. www.onthewater.com/bunker-bass-beaches
I respect the desire to fish in tough conditions… but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to remove a Goliath grouper from the water…
Why don't you ever eat the redfish? They're delicious
Bad filming today steve
Cmon Steve’s film fish not the life jacket. Al vid
Man, call that snagger the 'Mullet/Bunker Beast' and you'd sell twice as many! Put my cheque in the post😂
Hey man
Cast net would be better
We cannot see anything with your camera on your hat! Come on, man (Stevc)
wrong with microphone
Look like it had rain water in it
Your sound is terrible bro. I love you stuff but please get you self a microphone. I think it will help to grow your channel.
Log way too long try to keep it 15 minutes way too long sorry
Cant believe this video..cant see a dam thing..get a real job.
